I'm looking for music played on violin that I heard live in Thailand. It was "old style." I don't know whether it was truly Thai or was imported. It was not classical violin, but a kind of folk or traditional music. Is there anyone out there who might have a clue as to what I'm trying to find?

I just love this song. I love the old Thai songs. I have I been trying to find an old Thai style of music played on violin. I don't know what it's called, but I heard it on a visit to Haddjai in southern Thailand near the Malaysian border. It was most beautiful and haunting.
