I like how Larry, after hitting the drums somewhat quietly while the crowd sang "How long", all of a sudden, broke up the moment, and did his solo on the kit..that was cool.. great song. I saw them play this in Melbourne in the 80s, it was the last song of the night. We (the audience) sang the refrain as the lights went up and as we walked up the Yarra River to the train station. It was rather bloody magical. I'll never forget it, it was more than 20 years ago.

I was lucky enough to be at both shows 5/9 and 5/10 2005 when dvd was filmed. May 10th was Bono's B-day and they closed with Vertigo. It was the second time they played it that night. That was kinda cool!

I first saw U2 in 1981 at the Santa Monica Civic. 40 has been the traditional ending song for them since 1983 or 84. And Edge always plays the bass.
