  • Outstanding performance, especially for a high school. Thanks, kids, for a great night of entertainment. May your futures be safe, bright, and full of success. Your years will go by far too fast and, the next thing you know, you'll be doing this on Broadway.

    God speed, young people.

    Ole Johnny B.

  • Geezeeee. Super slow.

  • Cool

  • they did a really good job :)

  • @WhatInTheHellO are you fucking high? this is gross

  • I'm certainly not high. However, I do feel that they put forth a lot of effort in this production and deserve praise.

  • Back in the 1970's my high school, Lowell High School (now closed) did "Fiddler on the Roof". I remember all the sets falling down during the last performance of the "Dream Scene". LOL...remembering it brings back many memories...

  • lmao!!! cough cough THE PAPAAAA

  • we did fiddler and i was golde!(:

  • way too slow. the beats are off

  • AWESOME.

  • very well done!

  • way too slow. and they were right you look like zombies

  • oh yea u try to do that? what do u expect them to do? a rap?? WOW its supposed to be somewhere in the older days and in the older days they didnt have hip-hop and rap u know!

  • i'm just saying you need to be a little faster like our version of fiddler on the roof it was fantastic the governor of cebu and the mayor even watched our play

  • yeah man, it needs to be faster. listen to the real one. if this opened a show i was at , i would probably leave at intermission. no offense.

  • @owengorkon1 Geez, this is high school, not Broadway. Believe me, I know good theater and I have seen the Broadway production, but you also have to make a lot of allowances for who is putting on the performance. This is an audience of proud parents and grandparents, not the New York Times theater critic! This is a long show and I'm impressed they were able to put it together.

  • well, were doing it too nd its faster. but our dance is sooooooo gay! but they did do a gud job

  • this school is by my house

    =]

  • pretty damned good for a high school preformance.

  • my school did something similar, well done it sounds really well!

    ¡Enhorabuena!

  • wtf... waayyyyyy too slow. And the pit band fails horribly.

  • Very good production by a school. Really enjoyed it. Well done.

  • wayyyy too slow.

    but, okay i guess.

  • these ppl look like they dont feel the energy!!!

  • ive been searching around on youtbe all day looking at high school productions of this play(my high schools doing it this year) imo this is the best ive seen so far

  • the characters going past the front of the screen look like zombies.. i thought maybe they were going to break into 'Thriller'!

  • This was kinda akward to watch. Like. the annoying stepping at the begginging and the not-together-at-all snapping.

I thought tevye was really good, but it's almost like he just took Topol's take on the character instead of his own.

  • Well Done, while it is a bit slow and your characterization could definately use some work in the chorus, and your timing, the choreo was fantastic, your cast was massive. We recently did fiddler and we had the same probs with getting the chorus to step up, but we spent so much time freaking polishing and rehearsing, that we got it perefect. congrats

  • this is way too slow

  • omg. why did he start with a mexican accent?!

  • idiot

  • our school was better and im in M.S.

    lol but it was ok/...

  • our school did it WAY better

  • shut up because i dont see you posting up videos of your school.. this school did a pretty good job, i loved tevye's dialouge in the beginning, harmonies were great, not bad at all

  • RamonaSolares this performance is really no good. Wat good is an accent when you can't sing? I mean listen to 'To Life' Tevye and Lazar Wolfe are just guessing the notes.

TrueJudgement you are right in every way this performance sucks the singing is poor the choreography is bland and unimaginative and there is no life in the performance whatsoever.

Words can't describe how crap this is and noone will ever be able to make me see differently.

  • ...

  • Does anyone know where I can find the full Fiddler on the Roof movie on YouTube?

  • This film the origenal is available from Tesco or Asda

  • this auditorium seems really small. how many does it seat?

  • a little too goofy for tevye. blending needs work, and as has already been said, too slow. why do the sons sound completely bored? "i have 5 daughters." completely random and irrelevant quote? wtf? thats definitely in a later scene. perchik isn't here yet, buddy.

  • "I have five daughters" is included in the Original Broadway Cast Recording as a part of this scene. It is textually accurate, despite what you may believe. And really, after watching videos from your school's performance, I feel as though you have no right to complain about another production...yours wasn't so great, either.

Neither of you do any justice to Fiddler, but at least this guy isn't cocky about it.

  • yea, actually, i went and checked after i made that comment. i forgot to come back and take back what i said. so yea, sorry. didnt mean to be cocky, thats really not the kind of person i am. meh, you probably dont believe me, but whats the use trying to defend myself on the internet? i guess you'd just have to know me.

  • TrueJudgment, seriously, wtf. This performance is great. I SAW your video of your school's performance and it was good, but this one is way better. And your Tevye doesn't hold a candle to this Tevye. He is great, he has great timing, and the audience actually laughs at his jokes. Get a clue before you start criticizing!

  • anyway this was really good i guess it's good in each individual ways

  • Brooklyn Tech Fiddler on the Roof is the best of the best! It's better than anything I've even seen!!!

  • it was too slow

  • It sounded like the company didn't even want to be there. they were always slurring and it just was bad.

  • WOW...ur school has a lot of people for this musical...our school had less people but it was great..

  • OUr school play is better

  • Good video

  • that was horrible

  • this is way too slow. this is supposed to be a fast paced song. nice job though.

  • We are doing Fiddler on the Roof and I am playing Tevye right now. I am nervous as hell.

  • my school is doing this right now! Tomorrow is our last show!

  • hah im playin tevye in my school play tht is in may..if i can get a tpae ill post songs for everyone, its turnin out a bit better except we use cd tracks.

  • It is too slow. I am surprised that the director chose to do it so slowly. I was a little distracted by the sound of people walking around the audience, although I did think it was a nice touch to have the chorus in the audience.

  • It's sooooo slow. And it seems like yall dont have any energy. Search MRHS Fiddler. That's the one I was in. I'm sure if yalls was sped up a little bit it would have been alot better, which I'm sure is not the cast's fault.

  • that rocked! :D

  • way too slow man

  • omg i was supposed to see this play when it came out...but i didnt...i go to la mirada..when this was going on i was in GREASE at our school....u guys have really good productions...

  • Fun! Nice job!

  • its good.

  • this is awesome! really good stuff

  • my school just did our production of that play this weekend and ours was WAY better plus we have a WAY better auditorium too.

  • As being a principal member of this cast, you comment is really offensive since all of us work hard. What does it matter that you have a better auditorium? It doesn't mean yours was better. Everyone does this play different.

  • Um Terribly sorry... I didn't meant to put yours down really. Also if you didn't expect any bad comments then you were kidding yourself putting it out there. If you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen...Or at least I think that's the right saying

  • you're right, theres no reason to mention the auditorium since no one can help what the school is or is not equipped with. however, as for the show, sorry, but from what i've seen of your production, it really wasn't all that great. when i get a chance, i'll post our production of fiddler that we just did. i played tevye. i'll admit right now though, that your tevye did a wonderful accent. our school didn't really focus too much on it.

  • are you a jones student?

  • No... I'm probably not even close to your school.

  • Deffinitly very good-ESPECIALLY for a high school. And Tevye was deffinitly trying to put on an accent, which is a good thing, and I think he was very successful. :)

  • awesome

  • the stomping in the beginning is kind of distracting.

    but good job.

  • Nicely done. Especialy the musical ensomble

  • impressive for a high school!

  • It's a bit interesting the way you guys decided to slow down the song so that it seems more like a choir performance than a musical performance, although I'd have preferred a faster tempo. It's nice, though~ good entrance, and Tevye does a good job. I do agree that it's a HUGE cast, though.

  • I must agree with what you said. perfect casting, just a little too slow. liked the idea of the villigers going up the aisles!

  • the chick in front of the rabbis son directly to the right is hot

  • Doesn't it sort of take away from the point of having a High School play when EVERYONE from the High School is in the play?

  • im pretty sure that is only 60 people (i was in the cast) and the whole school is probably about 4,000 people. the director just likes to give people a chnace to be onstage.

  • Nice! I suppose "Tradition", the opening number works better with a large number of people. They did this play when I was in High School and I'd say the cast was maybe 20 people at most. Well congrats!

  • Maybe they could get the audience up on stage too.

  • that was great im so excited wen i do it soon!

  • Great job!

  • this was an awesome song. great job.

  • Interesting entrance by the villagers, and what a huge stage you guys have. Lucky. Also, how in the good gorram did you get so many people to be in it?!

  • They either got whoever they could, or it was such a big hit with everyone else that they decided to audition, and the directors decided to use almost everybody. It was the same thing with our middle-school production of "Wizard of Oz". Everyone knew it so well as a movie that almost the whole of the 7th and 8th grades (the most of whom didn't go on to do musical theatre at the high school) auditioned.

  • That was very good, funny, entertaining.

it was hard to hear at times.

  • great song!!! u guys were great!!! I LUV FIDDLER!
