  • interesting! I like how it sounds. the only music I played from him is a beginner one called Rocking. : )

  • Thank you. Gurlitt seems to be only remembered

for his beginner music, but he wrote a lot of

accomplished adult music for domestic use,

    like this.

  • The sound isn't bad at all. You have a very nice piano.

I am having trouble locating anything on Op.132 by Gurlitt. Are these pieces from one particular book?

My little one is playing from the "Little Flowers" (Op. 25) book and the pieces are very pretty--thus our new fascination with Gurlitt.

I will check out your other videos when I can move to a machine with speakers.

  • Op. 132 is a set of pieces called 'Chrysanthemums'. I think everything by him that I have recorded is from this set - but I have some other works and may put some more on YouTube. Alas there is not a lot of interest in his music here.

  • Thank you for posting a few Gurlitt pieces. They are beautiful.

  • Thanks for your comment. I did those recordings some time ago with my old camera - my latest recordings have better sound, so perhaps I should do some more Gurlitt.
