It is funny. Sometime you go back to songs from your youth and the are dated and from another time and sometimes, sometimes you find a gem that is ageless and great..... brilliant song!
I dont know, but their music is unique with the use of various instruments...and for this, they're a rarity indeed. Its sad that they're underrated and obviously did not last long
Is there something I should say? What am I to do? Have I found a way? And in the small hours when I rise Honey hold me tight And say it's just a game Is there something I should know? Shall I stay here for a while There's always something on my mind And as I look up to the sky And I know down deep inside There's always something on my mind Is there something I should say? Try to find a way Love me for one night To look at me and then to sigh I could run a mile
The early version of "Something on my mind" came out on the "Operation Twilight" label in Belgium backed with "Just a girl". This is the cover. This lovely little single seems to be hard to find nowadays.
Thanx..I didn't even know that there was a single vinyl version...I still have a piece of the drummer 's drum sticks that had broken in two during a gig near Paris back in 1984...
I was the only one to listen to this unique "flamenco pop" band while all the other students were Depeche Mode or other synthetic bands minded..

I pinched this single off an ex-g/f and then lost it and a load of other classic stuff when my flat got burgled. Not-so Instant Karma.

Perfection!!!
BTW... 4 people have rated this as a thumbs down... If it's for the Video fair enough,
If it is a thumbs down for the song then they must be as mad as teapots!!!

@15chipshops To lead a happier life it's better to just accept that some people are "as mad as teapots".

Fragile, fragile. Cool. Timeless. Vanishing Point.

This is why I loved the Pale Fountains. One of the greatest songs of the 80's.
I've still got the Pacific Street LP - it's great! Such nostalgia...
