  • Is that a front d44 from a South american XJ? The bolt in kind?

  • @xjguy95 Thats a d44 from a wrangler rubicon that I found in a yunk yard, it is bolt in. I´m not in south america, just saying, not that I don´t like south america.

  • Vochito, I want to go with 4.5 RC lift. Do I need all that extra pedo they sell? Slip yoke eliminator and drop down control arm chingaderas!?

  • @olaf1014 with that lift you can shim the axles to reduce angle (sheap way) I would go with the SYE, more secure. The drop control arm is a must but is very easy to make it "homemade". I hope this work.

  • I want your jeep....I really want to get a RC 4.5 for my XJ, then someday upgrade to a 4-link long arm, and eventually maybe to a 6.5 or 8

  • @xXUSMCGRIFFXx Thanks for your comments. I´d go 8 from the beginning because you will spend double and would want to go taller fast.

  • @vochito56 The whole problem with that is my XJ is my DD, I'm going to lift it to 4.5 and keep it as my DD, eventually upgrade it to a radial or 4-link long arm (depending on the money I have at the time, if I have a lot I'll get a BDS 4-link, if I don't I'll get a RC radial arm) for better on and offroad handling. Once I get another vehicle and my XJ is no longer my DD that is when I was planning to go to 6.5 or 8

  • @xXUSMCGRIFFXx in that case you´re more than right. A very big XJ is not for a DD. Good luck and actually a 4.5 lift is very good and fun.

  • @vochito56 I agree, I went from 3" to 5" now I want 6.5" L.A. hopefully to do sometime next year. Need to regear. Those 33's? 8" may be too big, but 7-7.5" looks bad ass which is what my uncles running on his XJ

  • @Vettes4lyfe yes, ones you get in the lifting issue you dont get enough. those are 35´s.

  • @vochito56 Dang, video's cant do justice in tire size haha. Looks bad-ass wish I had the money to do this right now, but takes time. =/

  • @Vettes4lyfe Yes it does, it takes time and money but is worth it.

  • I hope yall got that coil spring back on, look at 2:13. The spring came off the guide which also holds the bumpstops. haha

  • @danjrXJ it has limiting straps now. you`re right! 10th guy who write that though. thanks

  • @vochito56 Glad to hear it!

  • damn that thing can flex

  • Yup it is....when your on a budget though 6deg shims will help

  • @swhytie1 All right! good to know. Thanks for your comment

  • Arriba Chihuahua!

  • Did you put on a slip yoke eliminator?

  • @bmxstreet6 yes, you have to if you want a lift 4" or more. Saludos!

  • @vochito56

Nahhh thats not true, you can shim the axles to reduce angle and get away with alot, 2yr without any major wobbles or wear on my XJ

  • @swhytie1 I know the SYE is much better mod

  • What kind of tires are those and what size are they?

  • @WhozRisee Those are BF Goodrich Mud terrain KM2 35x12.5r15

  • Good looking rig you"ve got there.

  • @ral208 I apreciate it

  • @LINGDUI Listo!, saludos

  • I know this video is kind of old, but does anyone have specs on it to make it flex like that. I'm working with a 4.5 lift with extended shocks that flexes pretty nice but I'd love to have this.

  • @GRJCLyon Go to rusty´s off road and check the 8" lift, and the add some Coil Spring Spacers "daystar" maybe and small blocks in the back and you´ll have 11" lift.... after that you´ll have to do an steering upgrade you can use the TeraFlex high steer.... Thats just for suspension. You might need to chnge your axle gear, lockers, etc. I hope this works. Best of luck!

  • @vochito56 Thanks for the info but 11 inches of lift? OMG!!!! I wouldn't make it through 1/2 the downed trees in our trails here in the east. haha! I already have lockers but stock gears. This would def be a cool project. That XJ is amazing. Thanks again for the info!!!!!

  • @GRJCLyon no problem bro... Thanks for your comments! It is worth it ones you drive abobe almost anything

  • I'm glad you made it across the Rio Grande!

  • @tetrisken1 I´m not sure what you mean... I actually live in Chihuahua, Méx. don´t need to go there unless I need to go shopping! lol

  • @vochito56 "I'm glad you made it across the Rio Grande!"

This was a racial slur insinuating you 4x4'd illegally into the USA.

  • @NyaGaming I did get it...

  • @vochito56 ......

  • fail at 2:15 look at the coil

  • @smackface6 You`re right, read the past comments!

  • @vochito56 no need to look at other comments good lookin jeep man i recommend some limiting straps tho itll help with the coils , pm if you need a cheap website to find them

  • @smackface6 Thanks a lot! its already done, this video was its first trip, its very diferent now. Thanks anyway!!

  • How much lift is that? And what size tires? I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with 8 inch lift and 31 inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs.

  • @Guitarsolo8 Its 11" and 35`s... Nice tires you have

  • 1:37 he's sayin' hell its just a ditch.

  • what axles are you running front and rear??

  • @gutarguy229 Dana 44 both... the rear from a Jeep Commanche and the front from a Jeep Rubicon.

  • Eehh. That last image of you staging your rear diff on that rock makes me cringe.

  • Looks like you need some limit straps there at about 2:13 in the video you can see the stop of the front spring almost coming out...

  • @Ulyssesguy you´re right, is already done...

  • Who cares what nationality they are? Thats a really sick XJ for sure and haters are gonna hate no mattter what....

  • @sheeplereaper there is no way to say it better! who cares about nationality and even worst when you dont even know the guy... Thanks for the comment

  • So let me get this rite ur dumb spic with a bad ass xj and ur playing Alan Jackson , WTF is this world coming to????? Can somebody please tell me I'm dying to know.

  • @camomaster94 first of all is "right" and "you´re" and I think you´re jealous... Dumb spic? dont know about that. Peace!

me gustaria poner algo asi a mi trocaa

Gracias!

  • im looking to put a 4.5 to 6.5 inch lift on my 97 xj and i was wondering what problems i might come upon..... would i have to worry much and my u joints? what about the wheel bearings? what kinda of chassis upgrades would i need to get? plz reply im only 16 and i will be using it as an everyday drive.....

  • @calkaul13 hi, from 4" to 6" lifts are very diferent and much more expensive because with 4" you`ll need just the lift and maybe a longer pitman arm for the sterring box and if you`re licky that would be it. With 6" you`d need for sure a SYE (slip yoke eliminator) drive shaft stuff and everything will go expensive. for the "chassis" (the xj dont have) theres a lot of web pages with several reinforcement of the chassis. if you dont abuse it it will be ok. Dont make heavier

  • Sweet Mod! My wife will not let me touch her 98 XJ to lift it or do other stuff. And yet she has pulled me out several times! Go figure.......

    Love the Jeep!

  • @jeepin4on4 Don`t ask her dude, is very hard to find a wife with good taste, just get home with the jeep all diferent! just kidding, thanks!

  • 1:31 thats sweet man.

  • @300atsheridan Thanks!

  • Freakin sweet xj man.... always love to see people dont lift their jeeps just for looks.... you use your lift, and that awesome!

  • @bravododger Just tell me when you whant to come here, mi casa es su casa my friend.

  • @djAmericantoast178 Great comment; thanks.

  • was it me or on pic on 2:13 the coil came out?? way to go beaner necks

  • @dragen55 haha it totally looks like it did. not uncommon with such long travel shocks though

  • @dragen55 Youre right, we were taking the test ride, the next day I put the limited straps... why always the racist comments with you people? actually I´m not a beaner or a wetback (no offense to anyone). and I can tell you havent travel at all.

  • @dragen55 your an idiot, not everyone that looks mexican is..

  • aahaha its alright to be a redneck jaja nice song

  • about how much time and money did that cost?

  • @lancewearspants At this time arround $8,500 usd plus the cherokee, and if you had everything you need, it would take maybe 15 days to put it all together, depends on the shop.

  • @kymlihu busca este aqui en youtube es mas reciente, saludos "XJ playing in the mud. Interesting ending..."

  • those plates on the bottom of the front axle is a bad idea your gettin like 3in less clearance if you did that for extra strength you should take em off (before a rock takes em off) and put em on top of the axle

  • @bigburton4 You´re not the first guy that tells me that, you´re probably rigth... I´ve been using it often and so far I havent had any problem. Thank for the advise.

  • haha! awsome jeep!, cherokees look so cool after modification

    awsome song too

  • @Nigel4400 you´re right!!! thanks

  • About how much did the transformation cost you, for the lift and new tires and wheels?

  • that's badass

  • @whasian1111 thanks!!

  • how big of a lift is that 6" long arm?

  • @DeceptioN1337 Its Long arm and around 11"...

  • what size lift and tires? what brand of lift? new to cherokees

  • @teamracing14 The tires are 35/12.5 r15 on 15x10 wheels. The lift has stuff from diferent brands. Leaf Springs 6.5" Rusty´s Coils 8.5-9" Rusty´s Long Arm Home Made with Johny Joints Rear Revolver shackle teraflex 1" Rear spacer 2" Front spacer Daystar Procomp front shocks 14" travel Procomp rear shocks w/ remote reservoir 14" travel Brake lines skyjacker Bumpstops Rubicon Express Tracbar Home made w/ Bracket from Rusty´s and Diferential base homemade.
  • haha, can you say AWESOME junkyard finds for the lift?

  • @tnswimmer I know jaja, everything was actually from a firends rig...

  • i didnt notice a difference...haha jk...what are the axles on that?

  • @lacrosseman706 Dana 44, the one in the front is from a "TJ" wrangler ribicon, and the one in the rear is from a jeep Comanche...

  • @vochito56 dang man..that is an extremely nice rig!...does the rubi axle still have its factory locker?

  • @lacrosseman706 Yes it does works pretty good, thanks a lot man!!

  • wat cherokees are the xj

  • @hondaryder1994 Its any cherokee from 1984 to 2002 Cherokee sport, classic, etc.

Its the way people know a jeep model from another jeep model, for example the jeep wrangler from 1997 to 2006 is the "TJ" and the jeep Comanche its the "MJ". I hope this helps...

  • @vochito56 ohh thats easy thank for the help
