@MegaFade2black I think your processor might be a problem. Check the official system requirements of the game first.

i run this game on Amd Opteron 170 (dual core) , 1 gb ddr 1 dual chanel , x1950 GT , all settings on high and the lowest fps are about 25 . It s an old graphics card but it s stil a monster and u can run any game with decent setings at good fps.

well, ia musing an onboard graphics card at the moment, but i will be upgrading to an ati radeon x1950 pro like the on in the video

thx, a little heads up, the card is very warm, after a year you will need get a gpu cooler =D I had 60 digres celsius and over 90 celsius on load, which made my graphic card to shut down :/ but it works great now! :P

well if you have only an agp slot you should get the hd 3450. cause its newer, i dont know how the fan looks like or if its good, but go for the hd3450, 1950 is a great card, but hd 3450 is little better =D

It's really not worth wasting the money on AGP cards--at that point a motherboard, ram, and cpu upgrade is nearly nothing if you shop smart (used parts--the ones you have are already 'used' anyway).

I have a x1950 Pro AGP, i just can play it when all graphics option are sets to low. :-(

I'm on Vista, i have a E6400 Core 2 Duo 1.86 Ghz, 2 Go DDR2, a Raid 0.

questions:

- on which OS are you ? Xp, Vista ?

- AGP or PCI-E ? do you thinks that is a big difference between ?

- which catalyst driver do you use ?

- have you overclocked your card ?

- have you optimize something to have that kind of performance with that card ?

I am using Windows XP, PCI-E (Yes there is a difference, the performance of PCI-E is a lot better), I'm using the most up-to-date catalyst driver (8.10 atm), I did not overclock my card (and I will not) and no, I didn't touch the card's settings since I've bought it.

you know, peeps say if u overclock it, they burn out, but SERIOUSLY, if u put the GPU clock to high, then the memory clock to low, you get insane performance with 0 grpahiccal glitching! if u overclock the memory, it tends to overheat (i hit 86*c)

but now i turned the memory clock right down and the GPU clock wayy up and it only ever ever ever hits 68*c

and the card is fine with that temp!

im uploadign a video showing the performance difff when i overclocked my card, EVERYONE say they overclock really craply, but i show that THEY ARE WRONG!!! the vid goes with my onboard, (LAGGS)

then onto x1950 pro standard (bit laggy)

then overclock a bit! (shows clock settings and temp)

its SMOOTH!!!!

it runs cod4 med graphics at the res above 1024-768, at stable 60 FPS, drops to 59 every now and then, if theres a big effect like, 4 airstrikes and a heli with ltos of nades, i hit 40fps!

@captainyaourt it could be your processor, it is 1.86 Ghz..loww..you should at the least have 2.2 Ghz if you want to run games above medium.. or your card may be power starved. you should have atleast a 400watt power supply.
