All you need to know about Mitt Romney, his real political record and the Mormon Church and how his presidency could affect America is in this book:
CAN MITT ROMNEY SERVE TWO MASTERS? The Mormon Church Versus the Office Of The Presidency of the United States of America. Please spread this book far and wide in order to stir the American people to the truth on Romney.
I love this guy, he is an honest speaking guy, that calls out all these racists and bigots. Go Lawrence, tell the truth and continue to expose the Mormon's fake cult.
@Nazgul001 agreed, he was not very professional even if he actually believes that misinformation. I however, have to say that I love how the others chimed in with cooler, and wiser, heads and thoughts. Methinks O'Donnell is the one who is a bigot.
Does his Mormonism disqualify him from running from president? Hell yes. One reason is the oaths they swear in the endowment ceremony. They are violent and treasonous. And I have posted court transcript showing it. Listen to this guy. Mormonism is unrepentant and these guys are slobs and ignorant of Mormonism's intent and content.
That's funny how Lawrence O'Donnell claims that mormons are racist. I say it's funny because the first mormon I've ever met were black/african americans. They have a mormon church in Atlanta, Georgia and the majority of them are blacks....Please people, if you truly want to know something...go to the source. Do not listen to O'Donnell or anyone like him, Do your own research and not just go by other people opinion....Thank you!
@wovokanarchy Awwhhh, did I hit a nerve? I'm so sorry, but I understand....it's not your fault that your somewhat, can't see, desperate to blow, teeny weeny is mistaken for an extra belly button!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!
O'donnell tells it like it is. The Mormon church has a strangle hold on every member. lds doctrines have called Christianity an abomination and they believe that Mormons will save the U.S. constitution. Mormons are self righteous puritans who think they have the truth by repeating, I know, I know, I know. Historical facts mean nothing to Mormons.
Mormons were strongly abolitionists - that's one of the primary reasons they were killed and chased out of Missouri (the only time in history that an extermination order has been issued was against the mormons - it was legal to kill mormons). Also, in response to blacks' eligibility to hold the priesthood and be part of the church - there were no issues in the early days.
In fact, many early blacks were ordained with Melchisedech priesthood - the highest priesthood - and one black member was even ordained into the quorum of the 70 under the hands of Joseph Smith. Withholding priesthood from blacks was never a doctrinal issue, it was a policy that was never even heard of until Brigham Young proposed it before a hostile Congress when applying for Deseret (Utah) statehood.
Would O'Donnell still have a career after that rant if he was in the Right side of the political spectrum? Someone should tell him tv is a "cool medium" and hate doesn't play well on it.
Funny thing is, Larry thinks he's knows what the LDS religion believes in from playing in a worthless HBO show that nobody cares about. Just because you say it louder with finger pointing and veins protruding doesn't make you right, it just makes you an angry idiot.
Mormons were ALWAYS opposed to slavery! The fact that for a time it did not confer the priesthood on the African race should not be confused with support of slavery. In fact Joseph Smith said that members of the African race were children of God and heirs of salvation. Joseph was always opposed to slavery and the Mormons suffered intense persecution in Missouri largely over that issue. Mr. O'Donnell should get his facts straight. The Mormons are not bigots. Mr. O'Donnell is the bigot.
Long ago, Mormonism may have condoned enslaving blacks. However, long ago and today, atheistic socialism- a religion comically devoid of self-recognition-promotes slavery not just for blacks but for all people (excepting the elites, of course, which include media reprobates like the hateful, bigoted punk Lawrence O'Donnell). Our founders worshipped God, O'bama worships himself and O'Donnell worships O'Bama.
Actually the Mormons much resented the proposed expansion of slavery to the west. Mormons were very uncomfortable with both Democrats and Republicans. They were uncomfortable with the socialist and racist tendencies of the Democrats, while they feared Republicans for their opposition to polygamy. Much of this uncertaintly and struggle for survival in the 1800's is likely what had the Priesthood Ban come into place and the openess to slavery in the Utah territory. Mormons have disavowed this.
The problem is not that the Mormon cult was based on racism and bigotry. The issue here is that to this day it continues to be and no redemption has been taken seriously by its members. Until Mormons and the LDS church reflects on this issues and recognizes its flawed view of humanity and the world. The will not be in a position to lecture, much less govern over anyone of a different creed or view.
Not when Larry O'Donnell is on the show. What an absolute anti-mormon tool he is, he just spouts off and no one on the show agreed with his bigotry and double standard. Outrageous.
Where did O'Donnell get all this wonderful information on LDS religion. The whole Blacks were neutral idea is seriously not true. Brigham Young reputaited it and said everyone took sides.
It's so obvious that O'Donelled has been influnced by anti-Mormon liteature.
What do you mean, "he dares not discuss his religion". It isn't a religious discussion dingdong. He doesn't have to apologize or defend his religion. Did Pres. Kennedy have to defend his religion? Did any of the past POTUS have to defend his religion?
Simply ignorant. Concerning Slavery, Joseph Smith said: "IT MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL within me to reflect upon the INJUSTICE, CRUELTY, and OPPRESSION of the rulers of the people." (History of the Church, 4:544, emphasis added)
I believe this was the last time Larry O appeared on the show. For good reason. He is prime example of a media jerk.
And if anyone thinks that prejudice is dead in this country because we (NOT ME) elected a black man, they should review the hatred evident in this diatribe. Romney is a good man, yet he could not be elected President because the evangelical wackos in this country condemn Mormonism, and the media does nothing to refute the hatred. Perhaps if Romney were a liberal Democrat........
"I'm not a mormon, but I play one on TV so that makes me the best spokesperson for said religion." What a moron! Perhaps he ought to look into what Mormonisim really is instead of making it up from poor research someone did for a poor ass character to play on television. Elementary school children have done better than this retard!
@siuphilip true he does not play a Mormon, he plays a member of an extremist sect that is not recognized by the LDS church, just as he is playing an extremist bigot on this talk show :P he continually interrupts and talks over every single person and seems to like to hear himself spew hatred like he is at a KKK rally.
Yet O'Donnell admits he won't criticize islam out of fear for his political safety. When's the last time an American political commentator has been physically harmed for criticizing islam? This guy's either a bald-faced liar or the biggest fucking coward who ever lived. (or C. Both)

Believing in a god that has never shown himself to actually exist? Yeah, that's pretty creepy.

Well then I guess you feel that every other religion is wrong too, but I would add that God did show himself to Joseph Smith.
