@nstgc379 The thing with running on a single rail is it takes so much less space and material in rails and bridges . A bridge can be made from a single cable over a short span . Also the speed can be much higher and the turning radius is far smaller then a standard rail car . While probably not practical for freight trains this would be far better then current commuter trains . This a over 100 year old tech with a successful working full size train built in 1910 by Louis Brennan .
