I meant exactly what I said. It was more or less an impartial and innocuous statement. I myself am on the "spectrum" (Asperger's syndrome, diagnosed professionally November 2010) and have a very flat affect when I speak. Sometimes people say that I am like a robot or a serial killer when I speak, so I found it interesting to see a variation on the typical poker face in high-functioning autism spectrum disorders.

  • Diana is an amazing kid! thanks for sharing these with us Toni :)

    I'm on the asd myself.

  • Priceless? Be careful of your words. I presume you don't mean to be insulting. My 'baseline expression' when talking to people/answering questions is very similar to Diana's. Intense? I suppose it it. Conversations are hard. It's hard to listen, comprehend what the other is saying and come up with an acceptable reply at the same time.

  • Her baseline expression is priceless. Constant bewilderment: it must be an intense world to her.

  • Hi Toni. I totally agree with you. Lack of of empathy does not apply to everyone with ASD. Diana has her own unique way of displaying her emotions and personality. Lovely video thanks for sharing
