Love your vids mate and your right it is what works best for you, I never counterbalance because I just never felt I needed to but it does have its uses, ride safe
i actually conterbalance a lot! not only for u turns.
it makes you fell more confortable and on a better position to turn faster. only on wet/sand pavement it can go wrong sometimes :P be carefull on the throttle!
Haha, why would you say that? Is it because you scared the birds?
I used to do that all the time when I was outside, back in High School. There were so many birds that would collect on the sports field, and running at them would cause them to all fly off and shit all over the place. LOL
Another great video: love your videos. I've learned that one need not use the clutch, but rather throttle and rear break only. On crotch rockets, it's harder to steer than on the big cruisers; since at high speeds you tend to steer by leaning and not turning the handle bars. Still, you are correct, turning the head really helps. Keep em coming!
It's really a 'what works for you' thing. My SM is geared a little tall due to freeway/canyon exhuberant riding so I really need the clutch at low speed so it won't bog! It was really important to me that folks got the message of using the techniques that work for them!
I think you missed the point a bit, he's saying slow speed maneuvers (spelling) about the clutch/rear break. the clutch is to ease the throttle response and smooth everything out, also to stop stalling if (like crash) you have diffrent gearing/sprockets ect. on sports bikes it's much diffrent drop handle bars, high footpegs and more weight make it very difficult if not impossible to do what he was doing here, at high speeds don't use the clutch... use good body position though.
Thank you for your comment about a "300 pound bike".
As the weight of the bike increases the rider needs to know that the bike is going to go to the ground when the turn is too tight....if the rider is not experienced.
