  • Just play whatever sounds good and stop debating it.

  • WHat is the chord progression?

  • Just jam on F# it sounds great

  • I love this backing track :D

  • Those of you that know nothing about music theory should really not comment!

  • major and minor are the same thing

for example Am and Cmaj are the same thing check the chords they step on the same notes....

so is with the others like Gmaj and Dm

  • just play A major pentatonic sounds great

  • Title is a little misleading. The verses can be played in the key of A major/F# minor, but the chorus starts in A major then switches to G major for a measure or something.

  • awesome

  • As soon as i heard the song start im like oh F#m and went that makes perfect sense because it in the KEY OF A! Nice backing track man, and if people cant understand a little theory thats their problem

  • yo guys Im not arguing that this is not in A major im just wondering how come the chord progression in the chorus uses C (the minor 3rd), and the bassline uses the flat seventh (G)? just curious, because these together ourline the A minor chord ...

  • the reason why beacause f# minor is playable in this is because, F #m is relative to A major. to put it simply, when you do the minor pentatonic box, and you hit the second note, thats its major relative, also known as IONIAN

  • every time there is a backing track in Major/minor people have this same argument. stfu and jam or get off line pleases.

  • @TheRustee1234 Best comment ever made in the history of the internet.

  • this sounds great with E minor pentatonic too!

  • @1madaboutguitar actually that's EXACTLY what it means. It's not a relevant minor but called relative. It means that f# minor is A major they share the same notes exactly.

  • @rono8582 You have a crap ear and clearly dont 'get it' im sorry. Go back to your text books...

  • its a good backing track, just play switching between the relative major or minor and its fine, i like it

  • THIS IS SICK DUDE, THANKS!

  • God these guys are ungrateful. Come up with a better jamtrack than this guy. =]

  • yea not A major..

  • This is F# not A Major. But then moves to A Major

  • @1madaboutguitar Yea sounds like a great title.

  • @jawesome01 Ha Ha good point ;-)

  • @jawesome01 lmao

  • @1madaboutguitar F# is the relative minor of A major, so it is the same. the title is correct

  • @rono8582 I really dont want to get into an argument about this but just because F# is the relevant minor, it does not mean its the same key as A major.

  • @1madaboutguitar F# minor pentatonic is the same as A major pentatonic

  • @1madaboutguitar boy that Bb note must sound terrible every time you hit it if you are playing in F# over this proggression

  • @1madaboutguitar if you mean F# minor then that is the same as A major anyways it just depends on the chords that are being played what mode of the key you are in there is never a chord played in this that takes it out of the key of A if there was then I would agree with the minor statement but I have to agree with the A major title from a neck mapping standpoint

  • @1madaboutguitar how can u tell and whats the difference, just the root notes?
