Kim Yu-Na is Overrated; Mao Asada is Underrated.

I am one of many people who believe that Kim Yu-Na is overrated as a figure skater. Before you point out to me that it's not all about the jumps, I agree!

Figure skating is also about other required elements such as spins and spirals. Mao Asada can spin circles around Kim Yu-Na. The speed as well as positioning of Mao Asada's spins are superior to that of Kim's.

@maei7 from 2005 to 2008, mao was considered and i believe was the best skater alive. it was a loss for her to be too young to go to the olympics in 2006. b/c of mao's talent, she constantly beat yuna and yuna always happened to always win silver to mao at junior events. but i think as mao became more popular, she concentrated too much on her triple axels and she lost that happiness for skating and really cares about winning. b/c of this, yuna decided to focus on her artistry and emotions b/c

@maei7 of her inability to perform a triple axel. i think b/c of her artistry and her improvement in jumping yuna became famous and she deserved it. too say yuna is overrated and mao is underrated is a foolish statement since they are arguably the best figure skaters in history. i dont think any of them are under or overrated. btw, spirals are not a required element anymore. & yuna's spins actually improved a whole lot while watching giselle, i think they r up to war w/ mao's.

@Tinafigureskating Although Yuna missed two jumps in her FS, the rest of elements were good. Her PB is about 150, but in wc, she lost about 20 points because of two mistakes. It looks too harsh to me. I was also glad about Calolina with landing her triples, but her jumps were underrotated and other skaters like Nagasu or Asads did too. So relatively, Yuna's FS was on th top.
