Thanks very much to all of you for your coments and interest about this organ, I am from tlacochahuaya and I'm proud that we have such a treasure in our town. I was 13 when susan was doing the restauration and I remember she asked my father to find her a big bone to make a piece of the keyboard, my dad boiled the bone at home for long hrs then gave to her. It was really a surprise to find in YouTube one of my recordings and some photographs I made in Tlacochahuaya, Oaxaca.
I have some recordings made in other barroque organs, some of them not still published. I'll upload some tracks in YouTube now that I know there are people interested in the music and in the beautiful barroque instruments. Thanks again MUDWS for this surprise.
I have followed the story of this, and other organs in Oaxaca since Pipedreamd aired the show featuring them several years ago. Thank you so much for posting this wonderful performance, and the truly magnificent photos of the church. The organist is simply splendid as well.
