I think it is important to stand up for yourself. I never stand up for myself. I get bullied quite a bit. It was such in a way that people would denounce when if I dared to speak up. @88bluebirds No it is not. Having Albinism isn't simply about being "white" as people with Albinism range from white to "normal" pigmentation. Albinism is diagnosed primarily as an eye condition which is why there is a such thing as Ocular Albinism (someone with "normal" pigmentation but with the albinism eye condition). You simply can not have Albinism without the eye problems.

This is it folks, you are either the one who is picked on in life or you are the one who takes matters into their own hands. Had I been fully aware as I am now I would have caught one of my bullies by themselves and beaten the crap out of them with a bat or a belt. YES. Agreed so much. I was bullied constantly, and I always stood up for myself. Public humiliation of whispering, ball-less people does, indeed, work wonders. :) In my opinion, it's not always bullying that lowers people's self-esteem; a lot of the time, it's not standing up for yourself. I'm sure it's different for some people, but what saved me was at least knowing that I did something, even if it didn't always work.

...Looking back, I'm seriously lucky that I never got in any fights. xD

Because if it is her peers and or kids at the school, lunch room, rollerskating rink etc. Even though it's wrong, it is normal behavior especially in mid school and high school. This does on through out life to us all just in diff degrees. I woudl liek to hear more about what she does to cheerlead herself to a better place inside herself. Yes, Charise and I have been friends since 10th grade and I find her to be quite amazing because by 12th grade we were best friends and went everywhere together even after high school. I've seen how she's treated with my own eyes. Good thing she has a great family and some cool friends and we are all glad to know her (she's pretty funny too). :)

Someone asked me if her hair is naturally straight... No, her hair isn't naturally straight. She is wearing a lace front wig. Underneath she has typical African type hair. Her hair looks nice natural but she won't wear it that way. You can see some photos of her hair (at least with a perm or curl) on the website listed in the details of this video (click "more info"). The only images of her natural hair is when she is a baby.
