I'm going to go ahead and disagree here. I have been bowling for years with balls "out of the trunk," and I haven't noticed a significant change in performance nor have I had a ball crack. That said, do I recommend you throw a freezing cold ball? Of course I don't. But, if you don't have the means to keep your bowling equipment at room temperature, it's surely not the end of the world. Expesically in the winter. One of my friends left his bowling ball in the car for just one night and in the morning it cracked in half.

yea same happened to mine. the oil inside expanded and the ball basically exploded.
