Damn. I wear a full shield (I used to play full contact Football with no gear, but I consider my eyes, and teeth too irreplaceable to go unprotected anymore)but I pray it never comes to a shattering conclusion as in this case. I wonder if some are better than others, and/or if Marian's shield had already been weakened through previously sustained impacts.
