  • Damn that things sounds like it's poppin' vtec!

  • You guys (Fujiracing) need to do a nice little 13b powered Miata with a set of your ITB's. Now that would be one hell of a fast car.

  • how much does the itb setup cost? I was thinking of grabbing a 1990 miata thats mint with 60 000 original miles on it for 2500 making it fully n/a since im gona have a turbo car when the sr goes in my s13. very nice response I agree n/a has its advantages in road racing turbos are fun for drifting and going fast as hell on the freeway!

  • it's amazing what you can do when you fake dyno sheets

  • all motor > boost

  • how much money is in this car? not including the cars price itself.

  • Well, you ARE looking for more HP, just the most area under your HP-to-rpm curve plotted from upshift-rpm to redline.

  • whats been done reliability-wise? bigger rad, oil cooler etc, oh and what diff? sort of buildin my NA8 now, but its reliabilty 1st for me before ITBs

  • No no no, nothing like a 13B. 13B will outperform it except the tight twisties.

  • Damn. I'm starting to want one of these engines for my fc.....

  • @terribleoneprimopro you will regret it.

  • holy shit!

  • wow! I like it..

  • It's Naturally Aspirated with our FujiRacing Individual Throttle Bodies. Just got back from the Redline Time Attack in New Jersey where we took first in Modified RWD. 2nd was a Turbo Solstice, 3rd Corvette Z06 & 4th 240 Turbo. We have no boosted LAG and power from 3000~9000 RPM's

  • @4ThrottleTuning Sir you have shown me that NA the way to go. You killing people at the Time Attack with you power to weight ratio and your powerband. Forget boost am roll just like you for now on. LOL

  • A NC will rock with ITB's no doubt. On Friday we hit 184 RWHP on Pump gas just by taking our 38mm chokes out. On Sunday we took first in the Redline Time Attack MODIFIED CLASS. Over 200 WHP is easy with the little 1.8L BP motor on race fuel and more agressive cams. This is why I stayed with Naturally Aspirated on this light car.

  • Very nicely done, to a B-series engine no doubt. If you applied this strategy to the NC's LF 2.0L engine, you'd prolly poop your pants

  • Wow! That's a wicked Miata!

  • Very Sick!!! I Love This Sound!

  • Yes you can! Nissan did it with the Turbo. A centrifugal type SC will also work with ITB's. On a big circuit it should be fast with that combo.

  • mmmm rb motors..... lol I think that miata would be crazy fast with lower compression and a turbo... crazy fast throttle res. and a crazy broad power band.. except for low end power.

  • hey bro can you turbo or supercharge that thing? you'll be running crazy numbers...

  • very cool car !! iplan to swap my aluminium sho v8 3.4L 32v 320 hp7500@ 279lbs@5500rpm 93octane with custom intake and headers at the flywheel and they weight 314 lbs without headers

  • Now thats an idea...... I was thinking about swapping in the 1.8L v6 that mazda made in the mx3. Just to see how it would work. If you do go though with the swap let me know what transmission you use....

  • Just amazing! I've been looking at all the other Miata 0-60 times and you are so much faster than what I have seen. How can you be so much faster than the Turbo & supercharged Miatas?

  • Response baby !

when it comes to instant response:

    all motor > boost

  • @Erv187 Power Baby!

When it comes down to pure hp and torque:

    Boost > NA

  • Car on this video was choked down for lowend autocross.Tested yesterday out of turns with sucess. More power in midrange to topend and pulling stronger & still pulling @ 8500 Redline. Redline will be set to 9000K now. Changes made: From 38mm intake x 4 to 45mm x 4 & from 80mm Airhorns to shorter 35mm for more top end.

  • 13.544 1/4 mile last night spinning in 1st & sideways in 2nd. with this same motor. Low 13's is possible lowering the tire pressure but we will no doubt snap axles. I will be posting the new vid. shortly.

  • 4.41 seconds, nice

  • Last Friday the axle snapped in two off the line. There was a Miata with a LS1 swap that did a 12.6 w/333 WHP. After the 1st pass I wanted to line up aginst him to see where we were. Oh well we will make another attempt soon.

  • From our experience we think 12's is there. We will get you a time soon. We built this for autox & Touge style events and this past weekend we ran a 52.9 on the tight VIR Patriot course. I believe that it's a track record on tires more than 140 UTQG.

  • nice. Did you run 1/4mile with that setup? I know, its boring for miata, but i would like to see what time it can do with this setup.

  • Car weighs 2000 lbs. Driver weighs 200 lbs. We have a Roll bar in there. On a light weight car like a Miata you do not need big HP to make them accelerate quick.

  • thanks guys for showing people how important engine response is and what it can do at just 171hp w/ 2300lbs

  • WOW! cant wait to get m irtb setup working.
