im sorry but i would have to disagree with you. First off i bought one of these pieces of shit brand new. Out of the box it came with problems. They are not reliable what so ever. A lot of shitty plastic parts put on these, that shred break and snap. 90 % of the truck is made out of plastic. It may even be hard to find the other 10% that contains metal pieces. It would mostly be the motor made out of metal. On the motor ill agree with you. The motor is very good on the other hand

@ blindrawing i like the savage but for the price i would go for the revo its faster in my point of veiw cuz i have raced a fully modded savage with my stock 3.3 and stomped all over it and its just as durable and has just as much torqe i prefer the revo cuz there is alot of hop up parts you an buy if something does happen to go wrong

Hmm, well I don't really have any experience with Tmaxx or Revo, but I would think for the cost, spare part availability and durability, I would keep it simple and go for the Savage and have lots of fun!

Erm..yes and no. If you get sand anywhere inside the engine, it's screwed. However as long as you don't the truck might get filthy, but in general no damage. I used all kinds of stuff to clean mine, from water, fuel, electro wash and nitro wash...plus a hard bristled toothbrush.

Just the standard tires that come with the Savage. You can use paddles though, there's a good video on YouTube with a guy using paddles on the dunes...awesome!

the only thing i broke on my savage is the bevel gear but it cost lyk £3 to fix!!

whats the easiest way to start the savage bcoz i have trouble starting myn at times it takes quiet a while but once its warmed up n runnin it flys!!

Yeah I broke a bevel too thinking about it, but that was my fault as I had the slipper clutch too tight! :OP

In cold weather the one thing I do is hold the car up to my car heater for about 2-3mins so the engine gets nice and hot (if you're at home use a hair-dryer), you should def not have probs starting it after that. Also b4 you start make sure you plug the exhaust hole with your finger and run the roto for 3 bursts of 2-3s. Hope this helps!

all you need is 16% it runs better and i find 16 make my car faster than 20% and 25%

It's a Savage, not a woman's car, of course you need 20%+!  Lol! If it runs better on 16% nitro then generally it's running better because of a cooler engine. 20-25% nitro will make your engine run hotter so I use an extra cold plug, I guarantee you the performance is better then 16% nitro.

All i need is nitro fuel and 7.2V battery for Roto start! What fuel do you recommend ? Tornado 25% ?

Personally I use Byron race fuel 25% although I've just cut back to 20% as I don't see much difference between the two even when the engine is finely tuned. Whatever you use, make sure you use after run oil! My engine still has the same output as day one because it was run in according to HPI and I always use after run oil.

I had a ripoff of a Baja but sold it for parts in the end, it just kept breaking because it was so heavy. That will teach me for getting a ripoff model! Lol! HPI are the best though and very robust, I'm sure you'll love your Baja just as much as I love my Savage! ;o)

You have to order it with reverse, but yes it does have it. You can also order a module that you can fit later but it's not as good as the one that comes ready built in. The ready built in uses 3ch (one servo for the reverse), whereas the extra module uses 2ch and something to do with holding the brake on for more than 3secs.

Use an 8mm socket from a proper socket set, don't use your glow spanner as it will round! The bolts are friction based so they can get real stuck sometimes.
