Agree with Joemarie. Rubishing other martial arts is a sign on insecurity. Natural talent , quality of instructor and how hard you work are much more important than what art or style you practice. No art would neccessarily defeat any other - would depend on individual practitioners , who's in form at the moment etc. Find an art/club that suits you and forget these daft arguments. I have studied Judo, Shotokan and TAGB in my time and all have something different to offer. I also love this KO.

I've been around and have done shao-lin kung fu and muay thai. Muay was probably the more practical, but I wanted something modern and practical and formless. I was really into Bruce Lee's philosophy of being formless like water which makes sense. Fighting is fast paced dynamic action NOT slow graceful movements. So I found krav maga and I really like it. Its effective hand to hand combat that is powerful and easy to learn because its based on natural human movement. No rules fighting.

I'm nowhere near convinced that's actually him. Even if it IS, so what? The fights that end in just a few seconds are the fights that prove the least. MUCH higher probability of flukes/luck. A single head-to-head doesn't count for shit anyway, that's why the World Series is best of 7 and tournaments of any kind are almost always 2 outta 3. Larry Kelly, the guy who KO'd Blanks in this video, is a great karate teacher/practicioner and one of the most upstanding, honest people I have ever met. He's probably in his 50's now and even after 10 years of MMA and MT I wouldn't want to mess with him in a real fight. He also co-owns a gym that was doing BJJ, kickboxing and MMA back in the mid-1990's, which is pretty impressive. Back then most tradtional karate folks really looked down on MMA.
If you're fighting off a group, it's not a very good idea to lay on the ground and apply an armbar while the opponent's friends come to kick your teeth in.
There is no superior martial art. Only superior martial artists.
i disagree there are superior martial arts for individual situations. there is a time and place for everything of course its stupid to apply certain submissions while some one else comes for you. but how about a standing RNC keeping them in between you and the other oponent once choked out disgaurd them. there is allso throws in jiu jitsu used for multiple opponents.
taebo is a excersize not a viable martial art... i do it my self butonly as part of my work out... perosnaly i fight like a man. not with kicks and fancy moves.(and if all else fails a knife)

I'm nowhere near convinced that's actually him. Even if it IS, so what? The fights that end in just a few seconds are the fights that prove the least. MUCH higher probability of flukes/luck. A single head-to-head doesn't count for shit anyway, that's why the World Series is best of 7 and tournaments of any kind are almost always 2 outta 3. Now if the two of 'em had ten sparring matches and the other guy won 7 outta ten then he's probably the better fighter.

This is what I hate about the MA's today. The Disrespect Syndrom... Example my uncle (Jimmy Young) was a pro boxer, my cousin Marvin Watson was also but on the local level in Philly. Even when local fighters lose or have retired people still repect them & will say oh.. He was /is a boxer but when a martial artist loses a fight even though he stepped in the ring people want to DIS him, dis his art, career (If he had one ) and ramble on & on about what they wouled've done and how BJJ/MT is best!

Wally, You're an idiot..... Why is he a greedy selfish person? Because he made up a health club exercise that has helped people get in shape? He's never claimed that it was a self defense system, He has won tourneys in the late 70's & 80's in Pennsylvaina where he's from & other places.
The Gracies & others sell their DVD's, shirts, books, etc; Also they've put their arts in other systems schools. Well aren't they some selfish greedy mother- F'ers for trying to make money from what they know?

Larry Kelly, the guy who KO'd Blanks in this video, is a great karate teacher/practicioner and one of the most upstanding, honest people I have ever met. He's probably in his 50's now and even after 10 years of MMA and MT I wouldn't want to mess with him in a real fight. He also co-owns a gym that was doing BJJ, kickboxing and MMA back in the mid-1990's, which is pretty impressive. Back then most tradtional karate folks really looked down on MMA.

Jiu Jitsu has its own downfalls.
If you're fighting off a group, it's not a very good idea to lay on the ground and apply an armbar while the opponent's friends come to kick your teeth in.
There is no superior martial art. Only superior martial artists.

i disagree there are superior martial arts for individual situations. there is a time and place for everything of course its stupid to apply certain submissions while some one else comes for you. but how about a standing RNC keeping them in between you and the other oponent once choked out disgaurd them. there is allso throws in jiu jitsu used for multiple opponents.
