This is the 1989 PWL Pete Hammond remix of the Jigsaw classic as someone else pointed out in the comments and while it has its own charm, its a little too Kylie & Jason SAW high-energy pop for my liking! The best remix is the 1979 12 Inch version by Les "Mixdoctor" Adams who was part of the DMC mixing pool - I lost my copy ages ago but if anyone has that version I would happily pay for a decent rip of it!
@jackamo23 I would like to hear the Les Adams remix which you mention... Is it the same as the 'disco' version already on youtube?- youtube.com/watch?v=3M2MFWZ7IS4
I actually love the original as I heard it in my heydays of high school, but this version is not horribly distorted--only extended for longer listening. Great for a roller skating song!!
This is one of my all time favorite tunes as well. What the f*** have they done with it. No need for re-mix or improvement, the song was perfect as it was. I am sticking with the original
Thx, Oldies08070, for posting this. One of my all-time fav songs with a version I've never heard but truely like. Look forward to more of your posts.

When I'm famous, this is going to be on the soundtrack to my biopic. Did someone say slow motion strut with hair toss? I thought you did.

Great! I knew the '88/'89 version - this one - was by JigSaw, not by Newton as some would have me believe. Thanks, "Oldies08070".

Thank you for posting. This is one of my favorite songs in the 70's. Great beat!

If it were a '70s favorite of yours', you'd HATE this awful techno remixed mess.
The original cannot EVEN be compared to it.
