I think the diamond weapon-- story-wise--- was supposed to be the toughest of em all, because when you beat him, he just brushes your attack off like it was nothing. Lo, he doesnt even use the big guns on ya. I mean, Diamonds are the toughest gems on earth. so its only logical, right? they should have had more weapons, it would have made the game a bit cooler.

There are accually 5 Weapons. One of them is not named after a Gem as there is no Gem that resembles purple unless you count Onyx. Emerald weapon, Diamond weapon, Ruby weapon, Sapphire weapon and Ultima weapon. Stronger than Cloud ultimate *weapon*, Sephiroths *weapon*, Everyones *weapon* unwieldable *weapons*.

Maybe the planet itself is a -Weapon-

Euhm lets count.. Ruby weapon, Diamond Weapon, Flying weapon(don't know its real name), Saphire Weapon, emerald Weapon(right?). So i think there are 5 Weapons

There were seven altogether. 5 were shown in FF7. Sapphire, Diamond, Ruby, Emerald, and Ultimate.

Jade Weapon was destroyed before the events of ff7, and Omega Weapon appeared in Dirge of Cerberus.

There was only one Final fantasy and that was final fantasy seven. Any work on its remake? Now the original was a work of Art on its own. No matter how many time they remake it, they will never be able to grasp the charm of the original.
