Some bad events may seem to take place at first, but more than likely they are just events that need to take place in order for you to progress in your life instead of being held back by repressed emotions. Hi, I agree with 100% that duality is the basis to perception, I can explain much of this I have been writing about it, it is the basis to true natural psychology, and it relates to all aspects of metaphysics, which is what is missing in language in Quantum Physics, I think it will further define true psychology...There is much about symbolism which affects perception, knowing what we do not know.. I learned from many other philosophers and did good research on this, hopefully you will agree..

Excellent video and agree with every single point. There can be a world free from war and it is good to strive for that. But like he said, if you are dwelling on these things and letting them become part of your eergy and part of your intent, you are perpetuating the problem. Then how come the outcome of the 2 slit theory is the same over and over? Either we look with our equipment and have 2 stripes. Or we dont look and we have a wave of possibilities? This means it really is the observer thats influencing the outcome hence the experiments waves.

When we physicists talk about "observing" something, we are not talking about being conscious of it. We are talking about physically interfering with something in order to measure that something through the effects of the interference. You can't "see" a particle without shining light on it, and that's physical interference.

There's an experiment, called the double slit experiment, which is well documented.
Take a beam of electrons (matter), shoot it at a slit in a barrier infront of a wall. You get a stripe of electrons on the wall. But fire it at two slits and you don't get two stripes. You get an interferance pattern, like a wave.
And to make matters even worse, if you try to observe the electron as it passes through, it goes back to acting like matter and you get two strips.
And how do you suppose such observations are done? If you want to "observe" a particle, you have to *physically* touch the particle in some way, and interfere it. When you see things with your eyes, you're actually seeing the light that reflects off them. When an electron is detected in experiments, it's done by methods such as shining light on the particle. Since light carries energy, it physically alters the particle's paths of travel. Conscious thought has nothing to do with it.
In the double slit experiment, to check which slit a particle goes through we have to physically interfere with the particle somehow. Bouncing light off it as I said, or blocking one of the slits so it's forced to go through the other side in order to reach the screen. I'm well aware of these experiments as this is considered basic knowledge for any physics graduate. We go into far greater detail than just plain English explanations, we do the math too. Consciousness has never been part of it.
When you consider the realitve strength of the electromagnetic interaction, which is thousands of times greater in magnitude than the gravitational interaction, it becomes logical that the EMI has a great influence on the world of the very small. Not sure what you are asking here. If you believe something is real or not you have to ask yourself why do you think this. Is it just being silly to think there is a planet made of jell-O or do you have an observation to support your ideas? And, how do you know what a tree asks? We are only able to take in about 1/10 of 1 percent of the stimuli around us on our own.
Indeed, when you think about something you are making it subjective, this means that the subject is the observer of the phenomenon in question, and that's basically the base of all Spirituality and religiona of this kind such as buddism, they are strictly a pheonomenologist and a particular way (and with this mean that the truth is not here) of understanding the world.

actually the bible never really says the world is going to "end" in the first place, thats a misrepresentation of what it actually says. 2012 was chosen for a number of reasons and past predictions based not necessarily on the world ending, but changing quite largely. some say the beginning of our next stage in evolution, of the converging of a different dimension into this one, being two seperate paths in time.. I am an artist trying to promote my theory on the dynamics of light and time.
This theory is based on two postulates
1. Is that the quantum wave particle function represents the forward passage of time itself
2. Is that Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle that is formed by the w- function is the same uncertainty we have with any future event.

... I thought I might add, that if you're trying this and it doesn't seem to be working, give it time. Some bad events may seem to take place at first, but more than likely they are just events that need to take place in order for you to progress in your life instead of being held back by repressed emotions. If too many bad things start happening, then you might want to just put the deep thinking on hold for a bit and go back to it when it isn't dangerous to do so. Stay positive, but stay real.

Rofl - to say that consciousness is "causal" is to accept dualism. The reason that this is nonsense is because it inevitably runs into contradictions - contradictions which can be resolved on certain other interpretations of quantum physics, such as the "hidden variables" approach, among others.If you want to learn about quantum physics,learn about the various equations,uncertainty etc - noone in the field adopts anything like the view espoused here-I have made a video series pointing this out

Way to throw some ACTUAL scientific perspective into the mix. I wanted to add that quantum events do not have anything to do with the human interpretation of "good" or "bad"... quantum obeservation is different than a value judgement. The observation simply "pulls an electron out of a superposition" This doesnt really change macro reality! Thats why "The Secret" is bogus. People seem to confuse social psychology (rationalizing) with quantum theory. Any feedback on this?

Hi, I agree with 100% that duality is the basis to perception, I can explain much of this I have been writing about it, it is the basis to true natural psychology, and it relates to all aspects of metaphysics, which is what is missing in language in Quantum Physics, I think it will further define true psychology...There is much about symbolism which affects perception, knowing what we do not know.. I learned from many other philosophers and did good research on this, hopefully you will agree..

If you learn the actual details of Quantum Physics, you'd understand that the double slit experiment has nothing whatsoever to do with what this quack is talking about. That danged What the Bleep video has everyone confused about how the experiment is actually done and what it actually implies. Human observers have absolutely NOTHING to do with the outcome in any of the actual experiments. Learn the physics in detail and you'd understand why.

What character flaws are you talking about, you silly loon? You can yell and scream all you want, it doesn't change what quantum physics is. Go ahead and explain how Schrodinger's equation or Dirac's equation leads to consciousness playing a role.
It's pretty clear here you don't have any real points to make, so when someone who knows something about the actual science comes along and speaks the truth, I can see it really gets you pissed off. You need to calm down and take a walk or something.

Excellent video and agree with every single point. There can be a world free from war and it is good to strive for that. But like he said, if you are dwelling on these things and letting them become part of your eergy and part of your intent, you are perpetuating the problem. So you should be aware and educated of negative things like war, yet not dwell on them and definantly not let them effect you at an emotional level.

I keep science and religion separate.
Physics is what controls the universe, it is what makes everything exist, everything can be explained through physics wether we have the technology or understanding to do so yet is another story. I don't believe in gods or higher powers. I have no problem with people having their religions but when it is used as an excuse for ignorance, then I lose respect for those people.

Sorry about rubbish spelling but in a hurry. In short, a study of Buddhism and Quantum Physics is needed to answer your questions (or rather for you to know what the h*ll he's on about!). I think there is an overuse of the term "Quantum" but its what he is KIND of talking about - in a spirtiual interptretation. I'd say science is my God but you won't catch me signing up to any organised faith though! I believe in 'God' & 'worship' my ancestors, nature & follow science. This is my 'religion'.

I do enjoy the M.Uni's teachings (I'm interested in all religions/points of view) IMO, like the Shaolin Monks being 'fighting Monks' - thinkers have to be defended. I realise how very insignifigant we are the scheme of things, but I have if anything grown INTO an attachment to my history, my people, whereas I had none before (wether naievety or indoctrination). Many see this as a 'devolution' of sorts - from an all loving nature, but I have learnt that one needs to have SOME barriers in reality.

metagodx - It is good to have an overall knowledge of ALL things - in this case particularily Religion (Budhism, hinduism - well the lot really!), Rsychology, Philosophy and most definetly Science - Quantum Physics being key here.. In the last couple of decades there has been a real fusion of what we generally call 'Quantum Physics' and spiritual thought. Have a look into it throgh videos on Youtube even, its an amazing Universe we live in, more interesting than science fiction thats for sure!

I think you guys need to go back to the drawing board and rethink all of these ideas from square one, because your understanding of quantum physics is totally wrong. When we physicists talk about "observing" something, we are not talking about being conscious of it. We are talking about physically interfering with something in order to measure that something through the effects of the interference. You can't "see" a particle without shining light on it, and that's physical interference.

Actually, that's not true.
There's an experiment, called the double slit experiment, which is well documented.
Take a beam of electrons (matter), shoot it at a slit in a barrier infront of a wall. You get a stripe of electrons on the wall. But fire it at two slits and you don't get two stripes. You get an interferance pattern, like a wave.
And to make matters even worse, if you try to observe the electron as it passes through, it goes back to acting like matter and you get two strips.

And how do you suppose such observations are done? If you want to "observe" a particle, you have to *physically* touch the particle in some way, and interfere it. When you see things with your eyes, you're actually seeing the light that reflects off them. When an electron is detected in experiments, it's done by methods such as shining light on the particle. Since light carries energy, it physically alters the particle's paths of travel. Conscious thought has nothing to do with it.

In the double slit experiment, to check which slit a particle goes through we have to physically interfere with the particle somehow. Bouncing light off it as I said, or blocking one of the slits so it's forced to go through the other side in order to reach the screen. I'm well aware of these experiments as this is considered basic knowledge for any physics graduate. We go into far greater detail than just plain English explanations, we do the math too. Consciousness has never been part of it.

Besides, if parallel universes are real and you got to choose which one you get every time, that means a parallel version of you is also getting screwed every time. The real problem of a problem is make the statement of the problem, for instance how do you state the ptroblem of origin of free will? Not sure what you are asking here. If you believe something is real or not you have to ask yourself why do you think this. Is it just being silly to think there is a planet made of jell-O or do you have an observation to support your ideas? And, how do you know what a tree asks? We are only able to take in about 1/10 of 1 percent of the stimuli around us on our own.

actually the bible never really says the world is going to "end" in the first place, thats a misrepresentation of what it actually says. 2012 was chosen for a number of reasons and past predictions based not necessarily on the world ending, but changing quite largely. some say the beginning of our next stage in evolution, of the converging of a different dimension into this one, being two seperate paths in time.. I mean theres actually a lot of crap specifically pointing to 2012.

I saw that movie "What the bleep do we know" and the subplot may have been extremely misleading to some just getting involved in science.
