I have had mine for a month now, not rejecting, surface bars have a low rejection rate. Just don't touch the piercing or even mess with it and you will have a happy healing piercing. Do your research before getting this piercing!

I have the exact same piercing, i have had it for about a month now, but it's rejecting :( The only difference is the guy who pierced me used surgical plastic (flexy bar).

i had one of these and was done wrond and with a banabell....my body regected itso i tok it our then i got it done again with the proper jewelry and i caught it on something and there was a really thin part of skin from my old scar and i pinched it and a whole bunch of puss cam out so i removed the piercing and now ive got a scar...

i got the same thing done at marks and punctures (: it looks so much more painful than it is doesn't it? aha Trust me, it hurts more when a poodle rips it out :P i have a horrible scar now :(

WAIT!!!! wheres the IODINE!!! Maybe its just here in the states, but have my share of piercings, and my piercers been doing it longer than ive been alive, and for every single last one of my piercings he preps the site with IODINE and some other warming/tingling solution. I hear accents though...guess every country has its own regulations on this kind of thing....just doesnt look sanitary (not that ur dirty or anything - just doesnt seem sterile enough for piercings is all)

i have had my neck done for about 3 months now and it is still a bit leaky, yet i have really long hair. i dont have any signs of rejection but my body seems quite good with piercings anyway. does anyone know if you can change the bar as my bar is now just that tad bit big, the piercer but in an extra large one for swelling and now it gets caught all the time and hangs a bit weird. many thanks if someone could reply xxxx

@fukmunkey666 Well, it's three months late, so probably you know the answer by now, but yes, I had my nape pierced, and I had to get the bar replaced bcs after the swelling goes down, the bar is huge. The same with my ring finger piercing.

using clamps for those kind of piercing is not a really good idea! it would be to deep under the skin.

And it doesn't look crooked!

it rejects easy on a place like that beacuse the skin moves alot around that area. So it pretty much doesn't matter how or with what you clean it, the chances of it rejecting is a lot bigger than healing properly.. And your typing Is So Annoying That It Makes My Head Hurt

i want that piercing too but i have doubts! it looks painful! and i often heard that surface piercings don't heal and after 3 months (or less) they grow out...

Haha, well, I can assure you that this barely hurt at all... And if it's done properly (as Mark did) and looked after, it will heal fine and not reject. I've had mine for over a year and a half, and it's healed beautifully and looks ready to stay with me for ages :)

No, it barely hurt at all. I imagine the stomach would be much less painful than the back though, just because there's much more fat and excess skin :)

Did it heal properly? It really needed a surface bar, not a straight barbell--this decreases the chance of it migrating and/or rejecting and leaving a horrid scar.

ive got a surface piercing on my neck... always wondered how mark did it.. my friends try to explain to me but it didnt make much sense lol... ive got 2 micro dermals on my arm as well... ive watched both your videos and thank god i watched the videos after the piercings... might of put myself off otherwise lol... thanks for putting these videos up... now i know how marks pierces me lol
