well, i think alistair is the real-deal, but i agree with you, as i think it's the only true version of the Word we have available to us. the rest are watered down, n the watering was done with a truly satanic reasoning, if you actually start reading about it. you've probably read it, but if you haven't or to anyone else who hasn't, look up the book " new age bible versions" by gail riplinger i think. look for it, it'll blow your mind. the trib may be 50yrs away, but the next 50s gonna be rough.

@icartoon2 Thats because U did not listen 2 all 2 parts, he does quote scripture. Philip when dealing with Ethiopian Eunuch did not just read verses back 2 him 4 the man had read it already but did not understand. He also explained them 2 him.

Jesus was not a fairy tale. How can one even think that when it was obvious that he lived and performed the miracles he performed? It's not only in the bible, but other scriptures as well that have written of his life and his acts, even from those who didn't like him, those who believed he was of the devil. So this "fairy tale" sure has made an impact on more than just the believer, no? Why, then, would even the unbeliever write of these acts? Because they witnessed them. RESEARCH, son.

I understand your point of view but are clearly cherry picked. My point is, the morals laid out in the bible support a well functioning and respectful society, these I believe we should all pay attention to. However, the other stuff such as Noahs Ark and parting the waves, feeding 5000 people with a couple of fish (it's a long list) just doesn't add up. Now a modern day bible would perhaps tell a different story, and unfortunately I am sure it would be without miracles. Peace.

To even think that being 100% comfortable with your life as a decent human being without Christ Jesus in your life is the same as being absolutely certain that a wooden room full of dynamite won't go up in flames if I drop a Zippo on top of the pile. You can be good, humble, wise, charming, and giving, but without Christ, you will be cast away unknown at the end.

The reason there is not much interest in preaching is not down to bad preachers. It is down to the content. We have evolved, we do not need to live in fear of make believe fairy stories. That is what you should consider. Its an old bok written by humans who were making sense of their surroundings with the knowledge they had at the time. There is NO place for religion today. You can still follow the morrals from the dusty old book though. There is nothing wrong with being decent. But forget God.

Dear salimaal69, I mean no disrespect at all. I was brought up as a catholic and was taken (not out of choice) every Sunday. I bought it for a while until I managed to take a step back and look at the whole thing holistically at around 14 years old. As I said, the morrals are ok, no problem. But the fear factor tells a different story. I am comfortable 100% with behaving as a decent human being and not passing any thoughts at all to religion.

I agree that there is NO room for religion today. What is REAL and there is great need for today, is a relationship with God. Jesus makes a way for such relationship. If you don't believe me, just ask Jesus (with a sincere heart) to make himself real to you.....and see what happens. He loves you more than you'll ever know.
