@hawkie333 - Never got to.. I sold it off to a guy who wanted it for Woodworking.. But the plan was to use the DC motor from a Treadmill.. and the heavier cast-iron pulley I added would have been a big help..
I recently came across a single-piston Air Compressor that someone had thrown away at the Junkyard.. It's 11" inch OD and Cast Iron.. A nice heavy addition that replaced the 8" sheetmetal thing that was on this Saw.. It also helps in slowing down the speed just a tad more for the future jack-shaft or gear-reducer setup I'm working on.. -Rob
hey can you explain a litle bit more about corel, i didnt get, it would be nice to have that tip, please, tanks very much, very nice vintage tool, i want one too, but theres is no way my lady let me have one, can you feel the whip???:(
I measured the OD's of all the pulleys and how far apart they were.. then drew it out in Corel Draw, ereased the inner curves leaving only where the blade would ride then converted it to a .DXF (CAD) file then imported and measured it with a program called PlasmaCam for the CNC Plasma cutting table we had.. 93.496 is what the measurement was so the Blade length had to be 95-1/2" Inches around.. -Rob

Hi, just out of curiosity, how did you end up slowing the saw down? A motor controller? Or did you go with pulleys?
