I would but I just cant stand Hip-Hop. The sampling of complete works being one of those things. Then you've got a bunch B.S. talking MCs. If you want to know how I make my stuff. From 0, the only samples I use are from a TR-909 and some Kontakt Instruments. Also I have a JP-8080. Anyways I rather not make it, than make it by doing this kind of stuff. And its obvious he is not remixing for someone.

You don't have to sample. The only things that I "sample" are just snare, kicks, shakers, cymbals, chimes, ect. - just because I don't have my own drum set. Every other sounds I use, from the piano, to the bass I manually play with a MIDI keyboard. Having said THAT, I can't make a sampled beat as easy as some of these producers make it look. Not that I ultimately couldn't, I honestly find it easier and more enjoyable to play my own notes.

Sampling doesn't involve copying a whole loop and continuing the loop and adding drums. People can chop the samples and duplicate or rearrange the the notes also change the tempo pitch, add reverb, filter etc. many things involved also, your own touch on the keys may be added to make something totally new. Some producers can take a sample and make it totally new. It can be as if you're composing the thing yourself. I will loop a sample every now and then, but most of my beats are chopped.

I think the idea of harking back in the past using samples is great. I use my MPC in my band, and I play rock drums and occasionally add samples and scratch too. Music has always been about harking back in the past, sampling is just another way of doing it. If you are truly musical then you should know that some cannot just pick up an MPC and start playing away, I play keys too, and incorpearte my musical knowledge into the MPC, whether I sample others material or not. Quit hating motherfucker!
