  • My God... in the 90s we were all up in arms about animal testing.. I feel like in this decade society REGRESSED about 50 years in every way. Now we have the issue of unethical PEOPLE testing; but we don't get outraged today because there are so so many other ways and problems by which we are being screwed over. It makes animal testing look like a dream.

  • That aint shit fellas. See 'my army veteran story part 1' Uncle Sam used me as a test subject for 1st swine flu shot, adenovirus, and in a MASS immunization (in 1 hour 10 or more shots at one time).

  • What are they doing these days?

  • Bristol Myers Squibb is guilty of exactly this!

Please visit "Abilify Kills" on YouTube!

  • Bringing them to poor countries? The US is the poorest country on the face of the Earth.

  • @WarheadPyro nope Burundi is the poorest

  • @drogonax It's actually the 80th poorest, so it's not even close.

I would send you to the CIA World Factbook link, but the CIA website is SOOO LAGGY!

  • In America, corporations can feed you whichever poisonous product they want and get away with it since there is no regulation, no consumer safety, they can draw out court cases for ages with their billions and they control elected politcians anyway.

    .

Here in Europe, we got regulations, consumer safety and indexes of poisonous and dangerous toxic products "medicine", but ooooh that's "communist" and that means it suck.

How does freely sold toxic taste, America?

  • no wonder antidepressants don't work. this is fucked up, thanks for informing

  • I've always preferred plants, no wonder why... Even when I'm sick, I'll eat healthy fruits and veggies, a couple days later it's almost (or is) completely gone. Oh, and I was drugged as a kid. Sick!

  • Money is the medicine of the corrupt. One day everything is going to be so dirty, that cleaning won't be enough. Always has being like that. The good thing is that people always forget the things that happened in the past. Kill a thousand, ashamed people, ten years later. Nobody remembers. They act surprise like things never happened before. Opposition is always kill, arrested or paid off. Nobody wants to get kill or arrested, so whats left, getting paid. Oh yeah. Enjoy your dirty money.

  • keep on pressing on 0:47

  • If animal experiments worked, there would be no need for so-called 'clinical trials' - AKA HUMAN EXPERIMENTS.

An astonishing 92% of drugs which pass animal experiments FAIL human experiments.

These same drugs react differently in different species of animals - so which animal do they choose to represent humans? They decide AFTER testing in humans, which animal species just happened to react the same - in other words, the animal experiments don't predict human outcomes.

    They are a FRAUD.

  • if all you people don't like it here bounce out go to canada or some place eles. go live in china or even in europe for a year or two and see how much you miss the usa after being taxed out your you know what. this is still the best country in the world if it wasnt than there wouldnt be so many people wanting to get in. i dont agree with the pharmaceutical companys at all and thats why im not on any crazie pills, but to say thats just america is dumb.

  • nature is amoral; nothing involving humanity is; humans invented morality, we should stick by it; including companies; by being amoral and human they are acutally immoral, evil;

  • Cenk is wrong. Corporations may be amoral (they have no morals of their own), but they can certainly be described as evil by our standards.

We use our morals to say what is evil and what isn't, we don't use the morals of the entity we are judging. If we did, most serial killers would not be evil.

  • There is no value on life anymore. As long as the rich are getting richer, everyone else can die in the streets.

  • @MotherRat Sad but True man.

  • Sory but...it's USA,and that is normal for this country.Realy nothing new for couple decades.

    USA=$

  • estonia? thats a pretty well off country

  • Cool show...

  • I wonder how many comments on this video will be right-wingers calling for less regulation... THINK FOR FIVE SECONDS YOU FUCKING MORONS!

  • Go Ana!!!!

  • The cops are there! They are called politicians.. They should look out for America.

Problem is, they got elected with funding from the meat companies that are selling e-coli infested meats, they are sponsored by the NRA, the pharmaceutical companies gave them a nice donation and the insurance companies are the reason they have that house in the suburbs.

It's all corruption without the negative connotation.

  • Funny i just listened to a B.o.B song that covered this topic

  • i feel so depressed.

  • Cenk, they *are* evil, but they're a necessary evil. We realize this, and thus regulations.

  • Ana sure says yes alot. what a surprise =/

  • Sorry Cenk, Anna is right they are evil.

  • corporations are nothing more than groups of people. as such, they are just as evil as those involved

  • i hate watching tyt because when i hear everything it makes me so sad to be living in america but i feel obliged to know what's happening in my country

  • Comment removed

  • Cenk's logic is on point!

  • And really, as far as the food industry, it has certainly been bought out by GMO weilding monsters, but food was not safer 20 30 or 40 years ago. Massive use of pesticides back then, dying meats red, lots of nasty chemicals. Not saying its necessarily better now but it wasn't a big party back then. I bought a box of KRAFT organic mac and cheese the other day, they certainly did not have that back then. Organic market is definitely growing.

  • Corporations are comprised of human beings, constantly making decisions. Labeling them 'amoral' isn't really true. If they're intentionally making bad decisions, it's not 'amoral.'it's immoral. Yes, corporations need to answer to the bottom line, but so does every other business.

  • loads of pharmaceutical research is manufactured to just be able to skate by the FDA "standards" so they can sell their drugs for a decade until the FDA bans it's use.

and cenk big pharma has never not been corrupt even sigmund freud was bought off to promote the use of heroin for patients with mental illness. next thing you know bayer was making heroin. does nobody remember that thorazine "the chemical lobotomy" was sold over the counter as a stress reliever?

  • if you want to stick it to big pharma... switch to a whole food- plant based diet. they will loose billions!

  • @Solareffects Thank you! I'm glad that someone noticed my uplifting comment!! On this grim subject!!!

  • You mean... capitalism *isn't* a moral system? You mean, those guys at the Hoover Institute, the Cato Institute, the Heritage Foundation, the AEI, were all lying to me? Just because a small group of elderly white billionaires paid them a massive amount of money to lie? O, say it ain't so!

  • Typical bullshit form the turds. Just checking to see why I quit coming here. Now I remember.Thumbs down.

  • So basically TYT says that the American system is corrupted by the corporations, duh!

When don´t have a strong enough federal system and an undereducated population that is allergic to government intervention in anything at all that is what is bound to happen. By the sound of things the USA should be on the top list of corrupted western countries...

  • Money, money, money, money = THE EXTINCTION OF THE HUMAN SPECIES!!!!!

  • The two of you should be ashamed of yourself for being this fucking stupid. Clinical trial research is not what you think it is - it is not guinea pig research with untested medications. Do some homework before you trash an industry.

  • You are so full of shit. This is not how clinical research is conducted.

  • ESTONIA??!?!?!?!?!?!??

  • Wtf ESTONIA? ESTONIA that is going to join the euro countries next MONTH?

    Cenk, come ON!

  • the square is your head Cenk.....

  • Shut the fuck Ana. Let him finish a god damned point.

  • I don't buy your a-moral thing. Corporations can't do anything without the people acting in them. There is always a person responsible. Corporations can't act. It's an imaginary entity; a collection of people.

  • Something which has haunted me much of my life: Many people in the U.S. were injected with radio-active isotopes without their knowledge. The Pentagon wanted to know where these radio-active isotopes were being distributed and what kinds of illness (cancers) they caused. I feel so sad for the victims. Imagine being sick and then having this done to you. These poor people thought they were getting medical treatment. Still trust doctors? Still cheering for the Military Industrial Complex?

  • i love how he says immoral like "e-moral" lol

  • watching babies die? how many people have died because of these "awful" trials? companies so evil, that i'm sure you never take any of their medicine, you stupid ditz.

  • This country has sold it's soul.

  • I got a peek at the paperwork when I was broke and needed to be a test subject. The MD in charge gets $750/hr for these studies; their PhD assistant gets $75/hr; the subject gets $25/wk. You do have to be pretty desperate to take this on, but even in the US, there are a lot of people who need that $25 badly enough to take the risk. And it has done me permanant damage, but they have you sign a release form. They are monsters.

  • i saw a video of someone talking about spraying chemicals in low income houses by bribing them with money to test what effect the chemicals will have on the children. even though captain obvious could tell you the effect.

  • they're not moral or immoral, they're amoral, they don't give a rat's ass, their bottom line is money, money, money," Will they do things immoral to make money? of course they will. Well Cenk thats pretty fucking evil.

  • Sorry Cenk, I don't buy the "they are legally structured so that they cannot care about anything else [but money]" - that may have worked a few hundred years ago, but I'd like to think that our level of civility has evolved. When you game the system in pursuit of money, knowing there's a good chance you'll injure or kill innocent people, that's a pretty good reason to rightfully label a corporation "evil".

  • @l0gically

hmm i can see why you say that, but i think i agree more with cenk because corporations are just there to make $, sometimes they do bad things to make $ sometimes they do good things to make $,& apperantly you make more $ doing bad things, so thats what they do, not because they like being mean/evil/bad but because they like $

& sometimes they do alot of good things, again, not because they like being nice/good but because they like $, like cenk said they are not evil just "soleless"

  • @l0gically Yeah but civility doesn't put food on the table. A corporation won't care unless it wants to care. You wanna force them to care about you then they will put on nicer smiles and cleaner suits, but it's all for show. Corporations exist because goods and services are needed, it's just a tool for us because we want it. The price is that we simply have to keep them in check, Maybe one day love and empathy will keep us fed and disease free...

  • @l0gically But if it's amoral, it can't be evil. They don't do it because they want to inflict harm, they do it because they don't care if they inflict harm. It's a lack of morality, not a darkness in their "soul".

However, the CEOs etc who approve this type of shit? They're sick, evil sociopaths that should die from choking on diarrhea for their greed.

  • @l0gically no actually what the big powers where using 100 years ago is what they still implement to day, it's all about profit and they dont care if poor people get hurt cuz hey who gives a shit about the poor

  • @l0gically how is our level of civility any better now than 100 years ago? Have you not seen the legions of americans gullible enough to believe all the Fox news rhetoric and lies, and the absurdity of people showing up with protest signs at various events? Corporations are indeed ammoral, soulless, they exist only to increase their profits, watch the Corporation doc plenty of evidence there. What is missing is power to block some of their more nefarious moves.

  • "Corporations are indeed ammoral, soulless"

So you're suggesting that there is absolutely no moral component to decisions made about the "cost" of certain decisions that may end up hurting innocent people? When decisions are made *by* people? Corporations don't run themselves.

  • @l0gically So you're telling me that there is no one on Earth that will put others in danger just so they can make an extra buck?

  • @MrTomSpencer Of course not - that's exactly what the people running this corporations are doing.

  • wow, america's awsome huh.....

  • Gotta love how they pass countless numbers of synthetic drugs, most without being reviewed, many of which are detrimental to your health. But they think it's ok to let a war rage upon a PLANT. Truly sickens me to the core, and I wish these a-moral, endlessly greedy hypocrites die a painful death, to say the least. Not to mention the fact that they're trying to pass a bill that makes it illegal to grow any plant in your own garden! They're corrupt souls with no empathy, and deserve to suffer.

  • Let's not forget Bayer dumping HIV laced vaccines overseas when caught in the US. There is no touching the Pharma companies, people need to get away from drug dependency... Organic foods and juices, supplements that are quality sourced. Of course Codex Alimentarius is about to end the ability for people to get away from Pharma at all.

  • @cddorcas1 I agree on not being dependent on drugs medically wise, but food that is organic is the biggest lie in the world. They lack nutrients, if the organic food is diseased the people in charge of checking if these food are safe can't check them because then they're not "organic". So you can be eating diseased food which also lack the nutrients nonorganic foods have. Farmers on sell them because people demand them because they don't know better.

  • @champ3660 I agree with you when buying organic that is not locally grown. I have seen Certified Organic food sprayed with clean reverse osmosis water and pesticides came off of them, but luckily I live in an area where we have huge amounts of local produce and many good farmers. What is alarming is the soil being ruined by heavy metals. If you have not seen What In The World Are They Spraying?, check it out. I use supplements as well as fresh food, nothing is perfect, but I also never get sick.

  • @cddorcas1 See what you do is right and the educated thing to do. Most people buying organic they don't even know what they're buying they just jump onto the bandwagon because its the thing and they hear everyone saying they buy organic and assume its better in so many ways. But its tricky and for people who don't want to spend their time on seeing if this is local produce or whether what they're buying is actually more nutritious, safer, enviormental, etc. They shud just stick to conventional

  • fucked.

  • fuck... when i think about all the medications i've been on in my life... like ...this article is fucking scary.

  • Greed should always be secondary, or tertiary to doing what is right.

A Pharma company would be wise to give a patent away to be freely used. Especially if it affects a lot of people.

If a company developed a cure for AIDS and then gave it away to Africa. I would buy stock in that company.

The goal should not be money. Money is a natural outcome for innovative ideas.

    :p

  • @Solareffects like

  • doesn't the FDA require specific guidelines for Pharma to follow in human trials? Like from it's actual target group?

  • Legalize marijuana!!! I have already tested it.

  • @bryanp311

I think more trials for Marijuana are warranted. I wish to volunteer my own lungs and brain to that study ..... for free! .... in fact I believe in it so much I will actually pay for it!

    :P

  • @Joxman2k Yes that's what I have been saying all along!!!! Instead of everyone fighting all the time. Like they are on here..... It would be a much calmer, laid back country...

  • @bryanp311

There is a time for fighting, and a time for being laid back.

Hatred never grows wisdom, but it's fun to be a jerk sometimes :).

With calmness comes wisdom, which lets us know when it is the right time, to have fun being a jerk :D

    ZING!

    :P

  • @bryanp311

    hellllllll yehhhhhhhhh

  • @bryanp311 Good job man!

  • vaccinations are safe?

  • I don't get the line between immoral and amoral that Cenk is drawing. Disregarding morals seems to be immoral, or at least it results in immoral consequences.

  • It's funny how Cenk made videos talking about how bad the health insurance is, basically calling it terrible, yet he has no problem with them testing these drugs like this.

  • @TheLunachick What video did you just watch? Were you half paying attention? Cenk does have a problem with them testing like this.

  • OOh,I love y'alls thank you for showing people still care, viva turks.

  • Well said Cenk...well said.

  • OOOOFFF CCORRSSEEE<3

  • Stop relying on government liberals. Government is equally as amoral as corporations. Throughout history, governments have committed the biggest atrocities of mankind

  • @pennjersey83 Liberals need to understand that government is corrupt and always has been. Any good that has come from governement is either due to extraordinary efforts and is almost always transitory.

That being said, the average conservative needs to understand that conservative politicians hate them just as much as whatever boogeyman they are using to scare up votes with. The enemy here are the large business interests which both parties serve above everything else.

  • If a drug does not work not to many people will buy it.

  • there is a saying, science advances one dead body at a time, sad, but true

  • i understand chen point but there evil

  • This is why we dont go by the FDA here, CSA tests it too, because we know just because the US says its ok doesnt make it so. This is why more than half the drugs sold in the US arent sold here, and why pharmaceutical companies ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ADVERTISE THEIR DRUGS TO CONSUMERS IN MEDIA here. Watch CBC all day, you will NEVER hear the words "Ask your doctor about..." because we know YOUR DOCTOR IS EDUCATED. IF HE THINKS YOU NEED IT, HE WILL TELL YOU. YOU ARE NOT A DOCTOR!

  • Estonia is not a third-world, poor country. He probably meant Ethiopia.

  • reminds me of bioshock

  • FUCK THE POOR!!! Test that shit on me!

  • Well I'd rather test on poor people than people that matter.

  • @glassbrain i would rather they test on stupid people like you.

  • @Mogan2511 Stupid?! Natural selection mate. You're poor for a reason, so let's stop them from reproducing.

  • Ana's real.

  • I don't believe in any of the countless gods and go one more to include "the invisible hand of the market"

thank you TYT for talking sense

  • Go get'em Ana.

  • A guy in the middle of Estonia? ARE U KIDDING ME?:D:D:D Cenk I know that u are well educated but FOR REAL?

    1) Estonia is in the European Union. aka we are not a 3rd world country

    2) Estonia has far, i mean FAR better health system then the US. I mean, geeez. I laughed so freaking hard :D.

Cenk, I respect you, you are dead right when it comes to the US policy but I begg you, check your facts B4 your come insulting other countrys

  • @bloooby Indeed I agree with you and actually Estonians have a longer life expectancy than Americans. Besides the E.U have way tougher regulations than the U.S!

  • @bloooby Seriously, yeah! I just gaped at the screen when I heard him say Estonia. What the hell?! He might as well have said Canada or something.

  • @bloooby A) Estonia is a third world country by any measure. 2) No country in the world comes close to our health care system. Almost every important medical treatment that your doctors use was invented or innovated in the US. Don’t confuse health insurance with health care.

  • @BriansVideoHobby= STUPID

the meaning of the term of a '3rd world country' has changed, today it applies to symbolize the civility or economical development of a nation, as far as the average citizens education or common sense in all of E. Europe it's top notch, now... I do live in So. Cal. and I have traveled to different states and difrent economically stricken areas(ghettos), the first impression for most US cities is the poverty and crime, drug addicts and the homeless, 3rd world problems

  • @marktsheppard That's because American cities are havens for liberals. Liberals are naturally slovenly and prone to criminal activities and laziness. Our average income is twice that of Estonia and we are the leaders in just about any field you can name, whereas Estonia is a leader in none, so I wouldn't judge us so quickly.

  • @BriansVideoHobby Oh you mean like those 'Liberals' Bush Cheney, Wall Street bankers, Newt Gingrich, Karl Rove... They just get away with the big stuff and have white skin so one one cares. Btw, Alaska receives more Federally for it's tax dollar than any other state. NYC gets less than half of Alaska's take.

  • @BriansVideoHobby dude I am an Amrican and I have lived here since 9 years of age, you can't bullshit me, why are even watching TYT? ...just go back to your Glenn Beck and that other fat basterd Rush Codeine Limpbitch

  • @marktsheppard their stupidity insults me and I get pissed off and forget to spell check...

  • @BriansVideoHobby You mean like the 'Liberals' who are blocking a nuclear arms treaty so their rich ass buddies can get 700 BILLION in the middle of a recession? Those 'liberals?' Clown.

  • @BriansVideoHobby even though it's slowly improving but there are areas here in the States where cops don't even go in to... why? because they might not make it out alive, so just imagine a lost tourist taking the wrong off ramp and ending up in some ghetto jungle filled with wild naked crackheads or inbred rednecks who don't take kindly to strangers... and this is all during day time

  • @bloooby

yeah WTF Cenk... Turkey is a rescue county... is in it? haha

  • um im Poor lol

  • isn't it true that pharmaceutic companies are able to do tests with their drugs and then don't have to report what happened?

  • The way the US is going, 10 years from now they will come back to the US. People will be desperate.

  • Its Been done for years in Haiti and FDA is aware. i lived there, there's even a Haitian song from singer Ansy Derose about it, this is how you people in the US get your "Freedom" and Imperialism.

  • In order to create rules to make them more about the ethics than about the profit requires REGULATION. So, I'm all for it.

  • HEY CHINA AINT POOR COUNTRY MIND UR WORDS MAN!

  • Anna is so immature. Just calling all pharmaceutical companies "evil". It's a shallow blanket statement lacking any sort of real critical thinking. Automatically turns me off to her.

  • @TruthNotReligion I don't think of it as something to turn off to her but more like passionate and candid. The concept of "evil" seems simple but the unethical and amoral actions performed by corporations with all their lack of empathy and compassion, a dehumanized, faceless structure/mechanism ran by humans is pretty close to what some people would call "evil"

  • @TruthNotReligion whell... they do evil thing... and one person can't make it better...

  • is one of the countries, Afghanistan? please tell me its not.

  • @elmirasahar look it up on wikileaks bro. im willing to bet :p

  • @MistahFen :(

  • I'm glad Ana's standing up to Cenk more, he used to kind of step on her a lot.

  • The "ad" at the end made me cringe.

  • I wish i could be those homeless people :/

  • Cenk! amoral is imoral, it s not about what your particular morals may be. think about light and darkness, as evil is the absence of good;

    find your faith man please

  • @sidthemyth Amoral means without morals or without moral capacity. Like a virus is not immoral, but it is no less dangerous.

  • Interesting. Interesting...

  • This is about the least surprising story ever.

I understand the idea that corporations are single-minded in favor of increasing profits, but they can still be immoral. They’re operated by real people - real individuals with choices to make. Never mind the fact that we have given corporations individual rights, including free political speech.

Can you blame a corporation for taking actions like this? Absolutely. There's no reason to make excuses for them.

If evil exists, this is evil.

  • While I agree corporations are profit driven I don't buy Cenk's not evil just amoral arguement. Corporations are set up and directed by people. These same people shouldn't be allowed to hide behind amoral corporate profits to justify the evil they commit. Something has gone very wrong when people like Cenk argue that the corporations are some sort of self sustaining automatons driven purely by profit devoid of human interventions, it just doesn't hold water.

  • The reason clinical trials are conducted elsewhere is to save money. The cost to develop a new drug is now $1billion and climbing. Who has that capital anymore? The results still need to be presented and audited in the USA to the FDA's standards, if the drug candidate continues to pass. Most drugs fail the first of the 3 clinical trials that are performed, hence the low % checked by FDA. I don't agree that the FDA has been bought out, far from it.

  • @BHallBrowser Too bad the evidence overwhelmingly shows that the FDA has been "bought out" along with many other government agencies. I guess you haven't heard about "the revolving door" and lobbyists.

  • @testaccount1729 omg....did u even check the info below the vid....u know. the section that MOST ppl always forget to read first before they make a comment.......

  • Why is it that Vanity Fair and Rolling Stone are the magazines that are giving us actual reporting and actual breaking news lately?

  • The pharmacies testing these newborns, are evil, the only thing they give a damn about at the end of the day, is money. And for the people who also do whatever they can to get a extra buck. all big name industries don't give a damn about the lower classes anymore. Oh, they pay the inspectors to look the other way? why aren't these companies shut down on bribery charges.

  • EVIL!!!!!!!!! Death to the drug companies!

  • poor people don't have attorneys to sue them when shit fucks up

  • Amoral Corporations + Amoral Banks + Amoral Politicians = EVIL FUCKERS!...

In my book Amorality means that it doesn't matter if suffering is caused along the way...Just as long as you get what you want in the end!

Remember the old saying: "The End Justifies The Means"

To the 'Greed is Good' guy; Gordon Gecko it might, but not in my book!

  • hell they do drug tests in Canada!

  • Cenk might be right in a sense. Corporations act like sociopaths. Is a sociopath evil or just amoral? Does it matter? Either way, why would we want to maintain our present capitalist system that legally requires corporations to act like sociopaths?

  • this is disgusting. i was only learning about ethical issues surrounding experiments based on psychology and our tutor said that the FDA is the USA is created to control the sort of tests carried out on humans. few hours later, im hearing here that the FDA is a stinking pile or shite.

  • charging 1000's times more than it costs, is evil

  • @mathers3000 Charging people ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY to kill or cripple them is evil.

  • Comment removed

  • bad as it sounds, rather have someone else die than me when taking some meds

  • As long as there are pedophiles in our jails, I say use them first. Let's start with Polanski.

  • @ProfessorxVile y stop at pedophiles? let's use rapists, murderers, and any other violent criminals before they start testing on the general public.

  • The worst thing is the possibility of false positives and other problems that all tests face.

  • they forget to mention that many of the officials of the FDA were either former CEOs or lobbyists for the same corporations they're suppose to be governing

  • “Those days are long gone"!

Dramatization at its best, Cenk you're better than that, at least intellectually. This is exactly how you lose your reasonable viewers.

  • @jeddawie Back in the day the pharmaceutical companies cared only about the well being of the people, never about money! Also the streets were made of candy, and everyone was happy.

  • @MastermindX LOL,I know eh! This illusive great past that never existed!:) I guess we're born in the wrong decade bro! :(

  • wait a minute, wasnt this a John Le Carre novel?

  • When you have a baby, they want to pump your kid full of vacines, were these tested on babies? why is it you can't test a drug on a 6month old baby, but you can pump vacines in there and be "safe"
