And if I could afford the base model corvette I'd rather get the Camaro SS or the Mustang GT500. And lets be honest people should get the car they like not the car everyone says is the best. Yes, the vette is lighter, but it's likely stock, running 400hp at the crank; while this stang is supercharged and probably running 500hp to the crank. Either way, a 4.6L is smaller and can't put out nearly as much power as a 6.2L in the long run.
@carguyfrom1984 You also have to remember the 6.2l is an OHV and that kind of limits the engine. I hope to do a 3v swap into my 03 one day. In addition to a rear seat delete kit and basic bolt ons... You're well into corvette/F-body times.

I own both cars, from the factory the Vette is 1000 times a better car. Handles better, and that vETTE was probably stock. You have to put a LOT of money into a Mustang GT for it to run with a Vette, and if you really race (curves) not just drag there is no amount of money that can make the Mustang a comparable car. Now, with that said, that Mustang has an AMAZING launch. WOW.

The rev limiter was bumped up from stock 6,250rpm to 7,000rpm. I never took it to 7,000 though. I would launch hard at 6,000rpm and shift always at 6,500rpm. I had the msd digital programmable shift light. It helps. Its not good to hit the rev limit with the blower, thats why my tuner bumped it up to 7,000 to keep me from hitting the limiter at 6,250rpm.
But I'm a mechanic and did all the work myself. Installs Etc. so I got to figure out what works best. I learned to drive it pretty well at the track. I had a N/A 2005 before this one. and was running mid 12's Naturally Aspirated

I got ford racing headers and exhaust , ford hot rod cams, msd blaster coils ,62 mm bbk thbody,hurst shorty,4:10 gears gt500 lower control arms and gt 500 fuel pumps,and lowered 1.5 inches. And 3.75 pulley next wheels and tires. It won't hook up at all. Can't wait to see what it will do in the 1/4 I'll post the video as soon as I can.

If that 2008 C6 was still N/A, which I'm certain it was, it didn't do terrible. I had a Supercharged 99GT Auto that I turbocharged later and killing most cars was easy. It's when you run into a FI C6, things change for the worse.

The slicks and skinnies are 15 inch wheels. Belong on an 2004 Mustang GT but I put wheel spacers to make em work on the 2007. Its not the right offset so thats why they look kind of weird

The rev limiter was bumped up from stock 6,250rpm to 7,000rpm. I never took it to 7,000 though. I would launch hard at 6,000rpm and shift always at 6,500rpm. I had the msd digital programmable shift light. It helps. Its not good to hit the rev limit with the blower, thats why my tuner bumped it up to 7,000 to keep me from hitting the limiter at 6,250rpm.

Thanks man. I got ford racing headers and exhaust , ford hot rod cams, msd blaster coils ,62 mm bbk thbody,hurst shorty,4:10 gears gt500 lower control arms and gt 500 fuel pumps,and lowered 1.5 inches. And 3.75 pulley next wheels and tires. It won't hook up at all. Can't wait to see what it will do in the 1/4 I'll post the video as soon as I can.

If that 2008 C6 was still N/A, which I'm certain it was, it didn't do terrible. I had a Supercharged 99GT Auto that I turbocharged later and killing most cars was easy. It's when you run into a FI C6, things change for the worse.

The slicks and skinnies are 15 inch wheels. Belong on an 2004 Mustang GT but I put wheel spacers to make em work on the 2007. Its not the right offset so thats why they look kind of weird

ottmar0 you obviously have little knowledge when it comes to cars. the mustang costs about 28 to 30k brand new. 6.5k for the 2.6 kb blower. so a grand total under 40k installed n tuned you are going to push over 500 hp to the wheels. Oh and thats with stock internals haha. forged and the blower can handle 800+ hp to the wheels. i love the corvette and all but you should def. read a book before you start talking.

when i said the SS was close in performance. i was talking 96-02. it was always under 30 grand. when the cobra was always over 30 grand until the 03 svt came & ford just sraight up fucked all the ford guys up the ass with their price for a 420hp car will a tiny ass blower. the SS & GT500 both spin there wheels at the launch. so if you put sticky tires on both the SS with 114hp less will only be behind .3-.5 tenths of second. & the mustang after 05 are pretty much 2 ton cars. so 400hp aint shit.
