  • one word amazing

  • would you please to tell me the name of the music ?

  • Sorry but I don't know music that well - am just a videographer.

  • thank you all the same,by the way, excellent video !

  • Chopin's Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2

  • man u can realize that he aint playin on no violin

he started as soon as da sound started and then he fucked up

    thats how u know

  • Yes, it would appear that my sound card is not that good- sorry about that. It's got to be the computer sound card because I have the same problem on a couple of digital camera.

  • he's not playing...or its really badly out of sync

  • oh pleaseee !!!! out of tune !!! such a beautiful music but the performance is not good :( sorry !! I cant stand it :((( !!!!!

  • I dont know about anyone else..but I swear hes not playing..the bowing and notes are not matching the motions.

  • oh jramberg.. the audio recording and the filming was dubbed after..so they probably made some error in the dubbing..haha...its very obvious its actually him..its only like 1second off

  • this is just basically sound, there is no emotion, he just played the notes, the notes were pretty good mind you.

  • i think its a good performance and i did not hear any note skipped. id say hes talented.

  • He's quite good, actually. ^_^

But he would play a lot better if he would relax and put all his feelings into the song.

And the only way you can achieve that is to practice. He's a bit rigid and the intonation isn't accurate sometimes. Otherwise, he is quite a good player. I like the sound of his vibrato. =]

  • cool .. i wish i could play an instrument !! He sounds pretty good though !

  • it looks like it got synced...the sound and the motions don't match. he's ok...i do that all the time, i freak out and i sqeak and stuff. i understand the pressure and the lack of emotion. i love this nocturne! i hope you give us an update about his progress~

  • some parts were out of tune...but still overall pretty good :D

  • He's decent, granted he's in a high school chamber orchestra.

  • pretty bad and out of tune... but i give him credit for trying!

  • what song is this?

  • I'm not sure but I think it's a chopin nocturne. But I'm not sure.

  • Nocturne Op 9 No 1 in b-flat minor

  • Chopin arrangement by Milstein

  • At the moment he is average. There are millions of amateur violinists playing at this kind of level. By classical standards, he has a long way to go to get good, although he did reasonably well, for an amateur, playing under pressure. Needs to relax more, needs to work on technique. Needs a good teacher and should just continue to practice. 4-5 hours a day is average for a classical career. He looks young, so has some time to improve and get into a good music school, but needs to work hard.

  • I really appreciate your comments about this violinist. He's with BethuneCookman college choir and I had videotaped him. I thought he was really outstanding and maybe even overlooked he was so good but as I said- I'm no judge so your comments were much appreciated. walt in sunny Dunedin, FL.

  • he's pretty decent, watch intonation. more expression would be nice, its such a beautiful piece

  • Looks kinda odd if you compare the movements of the bow to the sound. Either that or the order of the strings are reversed, I dunno.

  • No way- I video taped this guy myself. No tricks associated. I truly would like comments on the skill of the violinist- I'm not in the know on this.

  • awesome..

  • he looks so tense, and he's out of tune, especially at the double stops, also missed some notes going down the "arpeggios". he got a lot of notes wrong too. vibratos are pretty good tho. i think that he could be a lllooottt better if he weren't nervous.

  • pretty good

  • He's a great violinist. I like his vibrato. But if it were me, I would add a little more feeling. Also a great trick is to loosen up. The violin is a part of you. He shouldn't treat it like a separate part. That is the trick of mastering the violin.
