This is the only game which ever had an emotional impact on me. I've read dozens of comments about the return to shadow moses. And damn it, I felt the same way. Remembering when my brother used to live with me. Remebering how he introduced the mgs series to me as a kid on ps 1. And now..times..have changed.. Thank you Hideo Kojima. Your the greatest story teller in my mind. It amazes me how many real aspects there are to what you say in a video game. A place of escapism.

Gaming has changed. Its not longer about fun, gameplay or experiences. Its an endless series of online multiplayer battles fought by 12 and 14 year old kids. Modern gaming and its consuptions of fun has become a well-oiled machine. Gaming has changed. Players with ID- tagged accounts use ps3-tagged or xbox360-tagged gear. XP and Levels inside their games enhance and regulaire there abilities. Noob control. Ownage control. Game control. Everything is monitored and kept under control.

This was perfect for the MGS4 intro, you really got that sad feeling that this is it, IMO Snake is the most awesome game character ever. C'mon more Metal Gear games! I'm not talking about Rising, THAT'S NOT METAL GEAR AND YOU KNOW IT!!!
Let's play the game before we say that, eh? Kojima might not be involved in Rising personally, but he'd never trust his baby to someone who couldn't make a Metal Gear that can live up to ten year's history.
@TheSorrowsGhost Perhaps, but I loose alot of faith when Raiden is the main character, he has never provided anything good to the MGS series... everytime he opens his mouth it's about how bad his life is. Yes the sword mechanics are cool but if they had to make the game about a cyborg ninja there's Gray Fox! Sure I'm going to buy it, but it just doesn't feel right...
I trust in Kojima's decision for Rising's director. That's a good thing. It's what makes Metal Gear fans unique. we LIKE our game's producer. You never hear the typical Halo fan talk about how great Bungee is, and SSBB players never stop making Sakurai jokes.
@TheSorrowsGhost Oh I don't think the game itself will be horrible, huge MGS fan, one of those who cried during the ending, not the midcrowave but the liquid and snake fight because of all the history. The only thing I'm bitchin' about is making Raiden the lead character because he's not really that likable or relatable, Snake was the cool super soldier, the guy who people want to be, a hero even though he many times says he's not =/ Raiden is just a tragic story. But yeah better wait and see =/
@psyguy08 Well hate is a very strong word, it's more that I find him to be a uninteresting character, yes MGS2 was IMO quite good but it was pretty much a remake of MGS1, Ocelot even says it lol. Also, Raiden seems to be very lost and confused? And then in MGS4, well I actually thought he was cool at first, I tolerated the high heels and stuff, but then when he started talking... You have to admit almost everything he says is about that he has no life, and so on. Got pissed off at the end :(

Of course war always will stay a conflict between two groups of people and I think war will stay a conflict where people are getting killed as well. But every war in itself has a way, like it is happening. To stay at MGS: You no longer fight with learned and trained techniques...war is just getting a matter of how good your technologies are.
So however, there are things that change, and there are some that don't. I suppose that sums it up.

There isn't a "type of singing" for this, I believe. I'm sure there are similar styles that they used as the base, but otherwise it's from the composers' heads. The lyrics are in Hebrew, though. So you might find something similar in Hebrew vocals.
With that said, this is one of the best video game music I've heard. In fact alot of the MGS soundtracks are amazing. Of course nothing can replace the MGS theme...
I dont know which was more painful:seeing solid snake crawl through those microwaves while his friends faced death or my arm after pressing triangle so many times.
But it was great. "Come on Snake, get there aleready, come on, don't die" while you pressed as fast as you could and felt it that you're on your last legs... erm, arm.
so true! but it really helped me get in the mood because snake usually just walks on and triumphs over everything and everyone he comes across; so when you had to murder the triangle button just to keep him alive, it kinda helped me anyhow understand how far his limits were being pushed.
such an epic game.

I guess hideo wanted the most emotional ending possible, and he wanted the player to be a part of it. My finger did hurt like hell, but it was worth it. The game is awesome.

@Silenthunter287 It's easier with a rapid fire controller, all you have to do is hold down the Triangle button...but it was sad; but it was very cool when Raiden came back with no arms and his sword in his mouth and saying "I am lightning." "The rain transformed."

There isn't a "type of singing" for this, I believe. I'm sure there are similar styles that they used as the base, but otherwise it's from the composers' heads. The lyrics are in Hebrew, though. So you might find something similar in Hebrew vocals.
With that said, this is one of the best video game music I've heard. In fact alot of the MGS soundtracks are amazing. Of course nothing can replace the MGS theme...

so true! but it really helped me get in the mood because snake usually just walks on and triumphs over everything and everyone he comes across; so when you had to murder the triangle button just to keep him alive, it kinda helped me anyhow understand how far his limits were being pushed.
such an epic game.
all honor goes to Mr. Kojima for creating such an amazing series :)

I guess hideo wanted the most emotional ending possible, and he wanted the player to be a part of it. My finger did hurt like hell, but it was worth it. The game is awesome.

@Silenthunter287 It's easier with a rapid fire controller, all you have to do is hold down the Triangle button...but it was sad; but it was very cool when Raiden came back with no arms and his sword in his mouth and saying "I am lightning." "The rain transformed."
