I like most of the candidates, but I think that only a few have a chance to beat Obama. For example, Romney would beat him, but is rather liberal. I do like Ron Paul a lot, but I worry he wouldn't stand with Israel and that he struggles to connect with the "everyman." I'd take Herman Cain over most candidates. It's been estimated that FDR had an IQ of 147; LBJ had an IQ of 126; Abraham Lincoln had an IQ of 128. I have no doubt that, given their harmful intentions, the intelligence of these people made them better able to destroy America.

@UptDcVet You sorta hinted it was a pro slavery document but whatever. These great men were not perfect. Some of them had hate similar to the level of hate you have hypocrite. But these men created a country where you are free and enjoy a high standard of living. Blacks in the SOUTH were treated like property, but the blacks in the NORTH were free. Granted it was not candy land, but they were free. Stop your hate for Cain and other blacks who do not think like the way they "should." God Bless!

@WiseGal1958 before then we were looked at as cattle nothing more lets take a look ammendment 1 freedom of speech/religion etc NOT BLACKS! slaves were beaten or killed if they were found practicing other religions... ammendment 2 right to bear arms NOT BLACKS! give me a break if a slave was found with a weapon he was a dead slave. it can go on and on.... dont talk to me about doing research if you think that the constitution was written for all men regardless of color u are sadly mistaken

@UptDcVet Lincoln was not a founding father for one. Do you think he could have rallied the union to war on the idea of all at once elevating black to full and equal status as white? This is the ONLY country in the history of the world to go to war over its self to end slavery inside its own borders. And it is the Constitution the made emancipation of slaves possible, It was the hammer the struck the chain and broke it. I know this man and your characterization of him is disgusting.

@UptDcVet He's now an American Citizen, and the Constitution was written for American Citizens. Until 1865, the Constitution had nothing to do with blacks. However in 2011, it does. In this present day, he can defend the constitution. Actually think next time before you speak.

@Blakmajik4 The Constitution applied to all black citizens, "freemen". Now, to block the slave states from unjustly claiming all their slaves as citizens in order to garner more representatives, the writers held them to count slaves as 3/5 a citizen. In other words, the authors reduced the voting weight that the slave states could muster up. The slaves could not vote, but their States wanted to count them in order to increase their influence -- a pro-black strategy; against their oppressors.

Slaves fought in the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the Civil War, and every war up to this current day. They fought for YOUR RIGHT to vote. It's sad. AA people like Cain I believe simply enjoy the attention more so than producing a relative new point of view. They seem to love the respect and attention white people give them for not mentioning his race, by only putting America first. This usually means accept the status quo, continue to learn European history and culture making AA Americans to have to learn theirs elsewhere or outside typical school arenas.
