It's like the how the number one, "ichi", sounds kind of like "each" and only notice the second part if you listen closely. You actually thought they were just saying "juts" this whole time? Dumbass. The decision was made to pronounce the Japanese word without the small affectation because they didn't want it to be distracting and also because it matched the lip-flaps.

@lukeeez If "jutsu" was only a monosyllabic word then why did the animators often animate TWO syllables with the characters' mouths for that word? Japanese words don't typically end in hard consonants which is why people with Japanese accents pronounce English words that end in consonants with a bit extra. Like "YES!-uh" It is also why they even bothered to spell "jutsu" with a 'u' at the end in Romaji (Japanese spelled with the Roman alphabet).

It's hard to explain this, but the Japanese people just put more emotion into it. It's like Michael Jackson performing Smooth Criminal versus Alien Ant Farm's cover...one is just that - a cover. @Yacovsup I watched the subbed and caught up to it. I still enjoy the dub. The only reason and I mean the only reason I would prefer the subbed it's because it's so far ahead. I would gladly switch the dubbed and subbed around and have the dubbed at episode 230 rather than like 100 :P It just becomes a pain when you gotta read so much and you can't really pay attention to the actual animation am I right? :P

even though the Japanese Pronunciation is three different syllables, most people mistakenly say sas-kay. Its Sa-su-ke. The "su" is just somewhat of a silent "S" in the pronunciation. but you can still hear it in the Japanese original.

There are case where dubbed is better and there are case where the original japanese voice actors are better for example Dragon Ball Z I can't stand Goku's japanese voice it's way to kiddy and annoying >.<

After watching over 390+ episodes of Naruto & Shippuden with original Japanese voice actors then attempt to listen to English voice acting, it islike hearing nails on a chalk board. Not to mention every time I hear "Secret Fireball Jutsu" by the guy who does Kakashi's dubbed voice it makes me vomit a little bit in my mouth.
