  • there voices are pitched higher.

  • The trouble alert?

  • what pisses me off is that this, which is part of season 4 , is NOT ON dvd!!!

  • Is it me? or are the evil superfriends kind f cool? black Superman, obligatory moustache Robin, and Aquaman really rocks that eyepatch

  • And when evil Superman flies off, it's suddenly night again! oops...

  • Why does 'Evil' Batman sound like he has drank a quart of scotch? Right, he's 'Evil'.

  • @SquainbowSquaising OMG i haven't seen this since it originally airned in 1979. I was 4 then. I've been looking for this like my entire freakin life. it seems alot cornier now. I wasn't sure who to pull for. I guess I'm part evil now

  • basically this was Hanna Barbera's version of the Crime Syndicate of America Earth -3 where every superheroes are known criminals!

  • Best episode ever.

  • two sides of the coin this could only be made from the episode mirror mirror on star trek.

  • at least commisioner Gordon is still good. So where's the Leigion of Promise in all this mess?! Lex Luthor is as smart as superman is mighty.

  • @jfilesbooks I know what you're talking about after years watching the superfriends the corniness, dialogue, and all surely made it possible to laugh along with the audience if HB were to use the laughing fx.

  • I love Robin's pencil mustache. Great episode.

  • @boskolost Yeah his Mustache was HILARIOUS!!!

  • does the superfriends have surveilance cameras all around the worlrd? lol

  • This episode reminds me of the Star Trek episode "Mirror, Mirror'.

  • Did those evil superfriends just killed those people in that town by totally breaking the dam.

  • Irockgswift, yes, but they were best known for creating major disasters.

  • @Irockgswift Yeah. Basically, the evil Super Friends are as destructive as the good Super Friends, except the evil ones are doing it on purpose.

  • another episode where the two grouips fought would have been great....

  • The opening scene is pretty cool. You think these are *our* Superfriends trying to help until they start wrecking the dam.

  • Horticultural1, it wasn't until the dam was broken and the city flooded did the "lights" turn on - those costumes were scary.

  • in the Smallville series, Clark Kent switches places with Clark Luthor AKA Ultraman

  • they cant tell by his eyes.

  • "GREAT SATAN! It's impossible, the eruption must have blown me into a parallel universe of GOOD!"

  • nimrodicus420, in the Hall of Evil, the Wonder Twins only had their backs shown, so I'm sure the Evil Superman was probably startled by what the Good Wonder Twins and the Good Gleek looked like.

  • I have all the super friends episodes except for "The Worlds Greatest Super Friends". Can't find these 8 episodes anywhere. To me, they are some of the best episodes in the super friends series.

  • No es bueno, thu preshoor is tu hai. Hahaha

  • hehe usually when night turns to day in Super friends, it's just because the lazy animators weren't paying attention

  • evil robins dick dastardly mustache=win

  • Wouldn't the Hall of Evil be surrounded by tall concrete walls topped with razor wire?

Assuming that they're despised by everyone in the evil universe, you'd think that they would be under constant attack and require either heavy fortifications or that they at least would have a secret and/or isolated headquarters.

  • nonamesleftdammit, the Hall of Evil had a devil's face.

  • I sorry for being inmature but the whole supermen squeezing the volcano seems a bit perverted.

  • They sholud,ve shaded out the word evil until after the city was flooded.

  • Yeah, made it more of a surprise revelation.

  • robin with a mustache XD

  • robin looks like Errol Flynn with that mustache!

  • Superfriends hate science and common sense. Sheesh.

  • LOOK OUT!!! IT'S EVIL CASEY KASEM!!!

  • @6:57 Evil Superman say "Great Satan" SMH Evil Superman is bad ass!!

  • Coming to think that now, cartoons erase guns, change dialogs, etc.

    Best cartoon ever!

  • Wonder Woman looks pissed. Well they all look pissed! smh lol classic ep tho

  • Am I right in assuming that in the parallel universe it's always night? Hmmmm...

  • All I know is that Aquaman is looking pimp with that eyepatch

  • Okay, I have to say this is one of my favorite non-Legion of Doom episodes, but here's q question I've thought of -

What is the origin of the evil Batman & Robin? Considering that "in the universe WE know as OURS," Batman & Robin were both "created" by criminal acts (Jack Napier's murder of Bruce's parents and the deaths of Dick Grayson's family), were there similar actions in the "parallel universe of evil?"

  • Knightryderrwn: The thing you are missing is this-- the events that spurred Bruce and Dick could just as easily have had them becoming evil as it did propel them to become heroes; it has been alluded on a number of occasions how in many respects there is very little difference between Batman and the arch-criminals (Joker, Catwoman, Two-Face, et al) he battles. Granted, that's a little heavy for old-school saturday morning, but if you think about it, it makes sense...

  • @tideoftime,

Geez, and I thought I took my cartoons seriously!! :)

Seriously, though, that made good sense. I can see where those events could cause a man to go either way (good or evil). Of course, it is a cartoon we're talking about here!! :)

  • @knightryderrwn I think the evil Batman has to begin with his parents Thomas and Martha Wayne as being Bonnie and Clyde like criminals. They were shot to death by policeman named either Joe Chill(in the comics in our batman universe he was resposible for our Batman's parents being killed). Evil Bruce Wayne probable saw the policeman killed his parents. So he became the evil Batman.

  • @wonderful504,

I'll tell you the same thing I told tideoftime - I thought I took my cartoons seriously!! Your explanations for both Evil Batman and Evil Robin make good sense!

  • @knightryderrwn Evil Robin Origin probably begins as he and his circus parents were con artist who steal the circus money and they were chase by a Dective Tony Zuco(counterpart to the evil Tony Zuco in our Robin universe.) He probably shot to them to death while they were crossing the top rope at the circus.

  • @wonderful504,

Good points! (See my reply to your previous post).

  • This episode was probably based on the Star Trek Episode: Mirror, Mirror. Where Kirk and three other crew members ended up in a similar universe. Deep Space 9 always had a episode person season based on that episode. Too bad they didn't have a sequel to one of the Superfriends shorts later in the series.

  • BobbyDamiano, I saw that episode and Spock had a beard!

  • Was that an image of that Sesame Street count at the top of the Hall of Evil?

  • It's hilarious when the evil Super Friends have that sinister laugh after doing something bad.

  • Another great one! Evil Superman could have one of the concepts for Superman 3.

  • I like how in the beginning they throw you off with showing only the "silhouettes" of the heroes. *lol*

  • Negadog: "I bet you're expecting my goody-counterpart. Well you're wrong! I'm from the evil universe like the other Superman. I threw your Dog into the evil universe! And now the good Superman is gonna get it! MUAHAHAHAHAHA! and guess what, we have Youtube in our universe only it's Eviltube! MUAHAHAHAHAHA! Great Episode though.

  • dog453679, did you see the Star Trek episode where the transporter malfunctioned and Captain Kirk was split into 2 separate beings good and evil?

  • @LisaK7100 Sorry I didn't reply to you sooner, I was getting ready to go to work. As for your question, yes. It's a very interesting episode, and kinda deep! Good and evil split in two. Interesting theory, don't you think?

  • What I like most of this episode is the Vesuvio being a bridge among the universes.

    And It's in my country!

  • HypercatZ, yeah, it seemed strange that happened.

  • Why didn't they use the Crime Syndicate?

  • My favorite episodeof Superfriends. Evil Superman is so cool. That line about "MINEING" cracks me up everytime.

  • They should've covered the word evil too until the superfriends umm super enimies were mentioned.

  • Or maybe used the word "Injustice". Then it wouldn't have been so obvious.

  • Ithought Woner Woman had like a swelled forehead in the universe of evil.

  • johnny10301968, it wasn't just Wonder Woman - it looked like the Super Enemies wore "makeup".

  • I agree. It looks like someone is leviatating them. The question that always puzzled me was, isn't Green Lantern more powerful than Superman?

  • Why at the titles, do they show Aquaman and Batman with their arms out as if they can fly? I never understood that. lol. In BATMAN BEYOND: The Call (Part 2) Superman flys standing up.

  • geisler78l, animation is like arts & crafts - creators and writer can do anything
