@SquainbowSquaising OMG i haven't seen this since it originally airned in 1979. I was 4 then. I've been looking for this like my entire freakin life. it seems alot cornier now. I wasn't sure who to pull for. I guess I'm part evil now
@jfilesbooks I know what you're talking about after years watching the superfriends the corniness, dialogue, and all surely made it possible to laugh along with the audience if HB were to use the laughing fx.
nimrodicus420, in the Hall of Evil, the Wonder Twins only had their backs shown, so I'm sure the Evil Superman was probably startled by what the Good Wonder Twins and the Good Gleek looked like.
I have all the super friends episodes except for "The Worlds Greatest Super Friends". Can't find these 8 episodes anywhere. To me, they are some of the best episodes in the super friends series.
Wouldn't the Hall of Evil be surrounded by tall concrete walls topped with razor wire?
Assuming that they're despised by everyone in the evil universe, you'd think that they would be under constant attack and require either heavy fortifications or that they at least would have a secret and/or isolated headquarters.
Okay, I have to say this is one of my favorite non-Legion of Doom episodes, but here's q question I've thought of -
What is the origin of the evil Batman & Robin? Considering that "in the universe WE know as OURS," Batman & Robin were both "created" by criminal acts (Jack Napier's murder of Bruce's parents and the deaths of Dick Grayson's family), were there similar actions in the "parallel universe of evil?"
Knightryderrwn: The thing you are missing is this-- the events that spurred Bruce and Dick could just as easily have had them becoming evil as it did propel them to become heroes; it has been alluded on a number of occasions how in many respects there is very little difference between Batman and the arch-criminals (Joker, Catwoman, Two-Face, et al) he battles. Granted, that's a little heavy for old-school saturday morning, but if you think about it, it makes sense...
Geez, and I thought I took my cartoons seriously!! :)
Seriously, though, that made good sense. I can see where those events could cause a man to go either way (good or evil). Of course, it is a cartoon we're talking about here!! :)
@knightryderrwn I think the evil Batman has to begin with his parents Thomas and Martha Wayne as being Bonnie and Clyde like criminals. They were shot to death by policeman named either Joe Chill(in the comics in our batman universe he was resposible for our Batman's parents being killed). Evil Bruce Wayne probable saw the policeman killed his parents. So he became the evil Batman.
I'll tell you the same thing I told tideoftime - I thought I took my cartoons seriously!! Your explanations for both Evil Batman and Evil Robin make good sense!
@knightryderrwn Evil Robin Origin probably begins as he and his circus parents were con artist who steal the circus money and they were chase by a Dective Tony Zuco(counterpart to the evil Tony Zuco in our Robin universe.) He probably shot to them to death while they were crossing the top rope at the circus.
This episode was probably based on the Star Trek Episode: Mirror, Mirror. Where Kirk and three other crew members ended up in a similar universe. Deep Space 9 always had a episode person season based on that episode. Too bad they didn't have a sequel to one of the Superfriends shorts later in the series.
Negadog: "I bet you're expecting my goody-counterpart. Well you're wrong! I'm from the evil universe like the other Superman. I threw your Dog into the evil universe! And now the good Superman is gonna get it! MUAHAHAHAHAHA! and guess what, we have Youtube in our universe only it's Eviltube! MUAHAHAHAHAHA! Great Episode though.
@LisaK7100 Sorry I didn't reply to you sooner, I was getting ready to go to work. As for your question, yes. It's a very interesting episode, and kinda deep! Good and evil split in two. Interesting theory, don't you think?
Why at the titles, do they show Aquaman and Batman with their arms out as if they can fly? I never understood that. lol. In BATMAN BEYOND: The Call (Part 2) Superman flys standing up.
there voices are pitched higher.

Irockgswift, yes, but they were best known for creating major disasters.

@Irockgswift Yeah. Basically, the evil Super Friends are as destructive as the good Super Friends, except the evil ones are doing it on purpose.

The opening scene is pretty cool. You think these are *our* Superfriends trying to help until they start wrecking the dam.

Horticultural1, it wasn't until the dam was broken and the city flooded did the "lights" turn on - those costumes were scary.
