A massive wave of nostalgia hit me at 0:50 where the cover of the game's CD/Box/etc showed up.

I remembered that day, years and years ago, when I first picked SWG for the very first time, right after it'd been released. I felt so giddy and eager to play, was on a trip, without my PC anywhere nearby, so I just kept reading and re-reading the manual over and over again, looking at the pictures, wondering at the possibilities.

Men cry too, when nostalgia hits them like this.

You know whats sad... A lot of the textures on this old game. Are still better than the supposed " Stylistic" textures on bio wares The old republic.

Sure the models are better, But The Old Republic Relies Heavily on emboss, And rendering effects. and they have Next to no texture work at all. Mostly just solid shaded colors.

I miss it, but there is currently an swg emulator running, it has most of the old professions fully playable and crafting professions as well, google swgemu if you are still into this game, I myself am not unfortunately.
