He is no doubt a hero and Pakistani. What i know Nationality, Science and Peace has no specific religion. there is no reason to discuss everything with respect to religion. He was a great man, his work is great asset for the whole world. What we can think is just to understand what he was saying to make his world beautiful, peaceful and especially to make our people prosper.

We should respect Abdus slaam's knowledge. Please do not ignore his contribution in field of physics. He was a great scientist. But getting Nobel Prize does not make anyones religion right otherwise Christian/Jews Nobel Laureates are far more in number then from any other religion. Does it make their religion true? This is the question of faith and every person has right to select his religion. Allah Say in Quran "There is no compulsion in religion, truth stands out clear from error".

Dr Salam was really a big scientist. No one can deny his efforts and superiority of knowledge in Physics. He really deserved Nobel Prize. Please do not try to prove his religion from the fact that he has got Nobel Prize. He was an Ahmadi and great scientist. He has got great appreciation in this world from all over the world. Let Allah decide about his religion. If he was ahmadi then he was non Muslim like other Nobel Laureates. But he should b respected as a scientist and Pakistani.

@NebulousEsoteric Sorry, My purpose is not to hurt Ahmadi Non Muslims. But believing in Mirza Ghulam Ahmed as prophet when prophet-hood has been ended according to doctrine of Islam make Ahmadi as non believers of Islam. You may call the Islamic doctrine wrong. You may call yourself a true ahmadi, like any christian can claim himself a true christian and jew can claim himself a true Jew, Islam does not object. But Islam does not allow the propagation of any other religion in the name of Islam.

I could give you a long lecture as to what our belief's are, but let me give you one of million examples: When Isa (as) comes back according to sunni-Islam, who will be the last prophet? And when you believe he will be masih and your fellow muslims call you kufar, what will you think? That you are kufar?

He will come to rectify the false allegation against him that he has claimed himself a son of God. I know, the most common weapon of Qaddiyanis is to deviate the topic. If you believe any prophet after Muhammad (SAW) you are no more a Muslim. Yes you can be a very true Qaddiyani. We have no objection. And Yes if i go against Islam my brothers have right to call me non Muslim. Fine

@hammd123 I am not Qadiyani, I am from Mianwali. When Isa (as) comes back, he won't be prophet? Why would god have to take away his prophethood, just to fulfil your ridiculous contradiction? The prophet Muhammad (saw) said himself do not judge someone because only god knows what is truly in their heart, yet you say you have a right to call someone non-muslim? When you curse someone with kuffar and in the heavens they do not accept your allegated curse, it comes back to you twice-fold.

@NebulousEsoteric False, tell me what would you call a Christian/Jew/Hindu? Would you call them Muslims? You will call them Kaafir i.e non believer, isn't it? Saying Kaafir is not abuse. Kaafir mean who refuse to accept. Its Arabic word for nonbeliever. But i know this word hurts that is why i never use it for non Muslim. But dont try to deviate from the main objection i.e. Believing in any prophet after Muhammad (S.A) makes a person Non Muslim and this is unanimously agreed in all Muslim Sects.

@hammd123 Forget the anonymous belief of your sunni "fatwa", it was only agreed upon between the sects in Pakistan, a country we ahmadi's helped build & saudi-arabia. The reason you cannot call someone who believes in prophets after Muhammad (saw) a non-believer is because the qur'an NEVER says he is the LAST prophet! Now I repeat, show me where in the Qur'an allah mentions him as the LAST prophet. You mentioned shariat, that's what we believe. That no prophet WITH SHARIAT will come.

@NebulousEsoteric What a prophet will do with out Shariat? The prophet only comes when the scriptures of previous prophet is abolished. And Quran has explicitly mentioned Muhammad as "Khatimun Nabiyeen". I know the most common way of Qadiyannis to detract people is that Khatim means Seal. Even if i agree, we know the seal is placed at the end of the document not in between. Isnt it? So According to your own definition the prophet hood has been ended with Muhammad (SA) as a Seal.Fine enough?

And this verse was revealed on Last Hajj of Prophet Muhammad. Mirza Ghulam Qaddiyani invented the new definition of "Khatim" some time in 1970s. Do you think that all the muslims since time of prophet Muhammad, including Sahabaz were ignorant. I repeat Khatim as last of prophets is unanimously agreed since the time of Prophet Muhammad (SA)

My complaint is not to prove your islam wrong, because only god knows the truth, but my point is simply that no-one take Allah's place and judge for themselves what only Allah can judge. To me ahmadiyyat makes more sense, to you orthodox sunni belief makes more sense, there is no real way of determining what is true and what is not, it merely comes down to opinion. I also admire Dr. Abdus Salam for his efforts in physics.

In 1978 Anwar Sadat of Egyppt had already got Nobel prize for peace and hence became the first Muslim Nobel laureate as Abdus Salam got it in 79.

And one more point by constitution of Pakistan he's not Muslim.

Abdus Salam after winning the nobel prize was ignored by Zia ul haq. But today as then, Dr Abdus Salam is universally respected and admired while zia ul haq reviled by all.
