  • The law can't be responsible for parents stupidity.

Hopefully with a new generation of parents comes the awareness of this sort of thing.

  • @LigerZeroPanzar It generally wont though. Kids absorb their surroundings so if their parents have a lack of awareness so will they. I agree it's not the laws responsibility to tell parents how to raise their families though. So unfortionatly its a bleak picture for future generations because of laziness in the past.

  • ubisoft suck my fucking dick. i bought this game then the faggots have to make me make some bitch uplay account before i can play the fucking game. so i have to put in my fucking code to activate my gay ass account then when i can actually play the fucking game it asks for the same bitch code again then the faggots say the code is already being used by another slut motherfucker

  • The only legal 'works' to come involved (in The Netherlands) with the age-rating of games is a possible fine (of 500 euros) a store gets when they are caught selling an age-rated game to someone of a lesser age. Other than that there is nothing enforceable surrounding it. Anything else is up to the parents.

  • One thing clear. Chess is not a sport, darts is not a sport, poker is not a sport and playing fucking Starcraft is not a sport.

  • @perkele69696969 Those are all sports.

  • Why are they called Beer guts when they have nothing to do with beer?

  • @sspope

Because drinking as much of a keg of beer as you can...often. Will give you a keg shaped gut...

  • @evilanton There has been a research proving that to be bullshit. Eating a lot of sweets will make your gut look the same.

  • @sspope It's just a figure of speech really. It's common place for tradies to go to the pub after work and end up with what they call a "beer gut" they probably have a gut for 9000 different reasons.

  • @evilanton exactly!

  • I hope your right about the next generation, I really don't want to give the keys to someone thats going to ram it in the next problem.

  • Thing thats becoming a tragic in the UK is that kids (teen's to 30's) are having kids, Sure quite a few at the teenage to the 30's are mature but alot arent, People drink like it's a fad in the UK, Kids having Kids, Lets line them up and have them shot, Remove these humans from the gene-pool.

  • I'm a kid you bastard

  • If you give children a violent game or not apropiate for them nothing is going to happen to their minds but they will suck ass, there really no big deal i play alot of violent games when i was 5 and right now im not a corrupted nazi soo i guess that games doesnt hurt child and gamerates are basically trash

  • well, a few people in my age (16) don't even take chess serious

  • a combination between chess and darts...charts?

  • Great responses TB.

  • (WARNING: Completly Unrelated to this video)

I type the letter "J" into the youtube search bar and Justin Bieber immedietly comes out... Wtf? What is this world coming to?!

  • mooo

  • A very enlightened mailbox.

  • The rating systems not going to change, cuz it's sort of very good as it is, if it were to change, the industry would be fucked seeing as though kids are such a massive demographic, it would just be irrational. Also I think some kids can handle some games, a fucking awful example of what most kids like is obvioisly COD, whereas other kids may play, well, better games with decent gamplay and decent story, which is obviously rare, theres too many tits on live that have names with x's and "SnIppEZz"

  • Sometimes I put an episode of "The Mailbox" on in the background just for the sake of hearing Biscuit's sexy voice.

  • hey :) could you place time markers in the video description that display a clickable time when you change to the next question?

  • talk about halo plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • One of the best, if not the best episode, TB!

  • @steamgamesfan2 Glad that you agree with me. :)

  • @LeapFrogNinja

It's not mentioned in the movie if I recall correctly. Only the books. It's at 02:30.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy defines the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as "a bunch of mindless jerks who'll be the first against the wall when the revolution comes," with a footnote to the effect that the editors would welcome applications from anyone interested in taking over the post of robotics correspondent."

     Will have to split here.

  • @AloneWarriors

    Continuation

Curiously enough, an edition of the Encyclopaedia Galactica that had the good fortune to fall through a time warp from a thousand years in the future defined the marketing division of the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation as "a bunch of mindless jerks who were the first against the wall when the revolution came."

  • does anyone remember the shooting in the school in the us a few years back dont get me wrong it was really really sad but in the uk i remember the news saying that he played games like gta and then did an article on why these games were "clearly" to blame but they werent that guy wasnt right in the head and probably hadnt had a good start in life and again im not saying it was right im just saying the games WERE NOT to blame

  • Can I get these mailbox shows on podcasts?

  • Anno 2070; nice choice TB. I'm right there with you as a person who enjoys the Anno series. Dawn of Discovery (1701) was excellent.

  • Agreed, I can't even read The Times without feeling depressed: LOOK AT DA CELEBS, LOOOOOK. I don't give a fuck, give me some fucking news that i care about. God knows how bad the Daily Mail is on a day to day basis. Although I might flick through one in the shop to have a good 'ol chuckle to myself.

British news is the most depressing in the world, I wish it wasn't so but it makes me sad if people actually believe all the shit thrown around.

  • @ResurgamZerg From what I hear from my friends overseas, its much worse in the U.S. They're lucky if they hear about anything outside of America.

And not all of the newspapers are terrible. All are guilty at least a bit, but the Telegraph and the Grauniad aren't as bad.

  • i confess, i am 13 and i play 18's

but my parents care about what i play

like if it has a gore and or language sliders

  • @d4rthman8 You are the cancer.

  • @HiPaZeRo lol

  • Garem Rating here in Australia suck because we only have 18+ ratinging still at the moment because of the Christion Demicrats blocking it because of "THINK OF THE CHILDREN" motion we only need M15+ rating and if a game doesn't fit in that catacory the its baned.

  • I'm only 13, but I've noticed that people with very strict parents that give them many rules tend to be trouble makers. That doesn't go to say that you shouldn't give kids rules, but you also shouldn't give them too many. Kids without ANY rules are just as bad. I behave very well and have basic boundaries, but I'm not in a prison. I don't go out and smoke pot or anything, of course that doesn't mean I'm some "goodie-two-shoes", however. What I'm saying is to be firm, not strict.

  • @SlayerExopsGamers (Ran out of space) I play a lot of violent and disturbing games. I played Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas when I was in pre-school. I turned/am turning out to be fine. I feel that some people make their kids do chores and work so they can't get into trouble, but isn't that what video games do? The kids trash talking and swearing is of course the parents' fault, and should be taken care of by the parents', but video games don't make bad people; Bad people make bad people.

  • @SlayerExopsGamers How would you know that your not a more violent or angry person after playing video games, I'm not saying that you're either, it's just you haven't lived a life without games; so how would you know? I'm also speaking to the kids that are saying things like "I play 18s and I'm not a phsyco". Sure, you may not be killing people in the real world, but it's almost certain that your mental state has been affected somewhat.

  • @UKFskateboarding yes of course its been affected somewhat, going out and seeing people on a tackling each other on a football field would affect u mentally too, what im trying to say is,yes games can change you,but not as much as other common things, parents often worry about it because its different. and just because its different doesn't mean theirs anything wrong with it.

  • @rhys0564 hm I think seeing someone getting lightly tackled in football is in a slightly different league to seeing someones nuts blown off, don't you? But yeah, I can see where you're going.

  • @SlayerExopsGamers Very,very true.

  • @SlayerExopsGamers

You'll still react different to certain situations than children who didn't were exposed to violent games or tv.

  • @SlayerExopsGamers Bad people make bad games.

  • @SlayerExopsGamers just wanna ask this then for fun, When there were no bad people who made the bad people?:P

  • @SlayerExopsGamers Actually, life is selfish in its very nature, not just humans, all life. Whenever you do something for someone else, you do it because you get a good feeling YOU enjoy, or because you hate the guilt you'd feel if you didn't do something for them. If you are raised without a sense of morals, or any personal code, you can't feel guilt, and you will never do anything for anyone but yourself. It's still a blatant parenting problem, you are right there.

  • @SlayerExopsGamers I agree with you extremely. when I was younger, I used to play a ton of GTA vice city and thought "wow this is fun, I want to rob a bank" or something along those lines. that was, until my dad told me "I'm glad you enjoy the game, but dont think this means shooting people in real life is fun or good". the thing is, if the kid is lucky, he/she will know that the game's actual actions and events are bad, but if they dont, then it's up to the parents to tell them so.

  • haveing some problems with the ad tb it wont load.... i cant watch this vid cause the ad wont load... :(

  • Chess is rather exhilarating once you immerse yourself unto it.

  • Several times I've been approached in the city center and asked to buy an "18+" game for a kid. I usually downright just say, "no" - but then again the kids are gonna find someway or another.

  • TB, it's the Daily Mail. They have no shame.

  • -could prove their maturity. Never would they have they're own console, tv or laptop in their rooms. All mature games would be in my presence only until I believed they could be trusted. Some of the kids online have such filthy mouths, and threaten people's lives knowing they'll never see that person, god forbid if they did meet an adult they threatened, they would be beaten to a pulp and rightly so.

  • When I was 8 I used to play Quake at school with my IT teacher. It was the first time I was introduced to fps. I knew the difference between a game and the real world. I played MK trilogy when I was younger then that, with my brother and uncles. I never thought about doing fatalities in the real world. I think it's about maturity, some are mature enough and some arnt. When I have my own kids, I may let them play games like COD, because I would play them. I wouldn't give them a mic until they co

  • cok shot : )

  • I have been playing game at a very early age. I am very happy that my parents was over which games I played as it helped me play many games other than those that I shouldnt have played at a young age. I learn alot about the world through playing rpg and adventure games before I even got into fps and M+ games. Its said to see that the kids these days only sit on their games all day playing M+ games and society wonders why some of them go on massacres

  • between fantasy and real life at an early age dont go out and buy red dead redemption for your 4 year old unless he/she has a clear understanding of the differences between the real and digital world

  • im doing a research topic on violent videogames and their effect on kids and the studies show that violence in teens and kids has decreased as more violent games were created however the media tried blaming high profile shootings on violent games stating that the game Doom caused columbine(a shooting in a school where 13 people were killed) even though bullieing was the proven cause. its not the games its the parents to any parrents out there if you have kids teach them the difference......

  • Uneducated parents = a massive fail to society.

  • Totalbiscuit could be a psychologist.

  • whats the word at 13:49? i looked for it, does it even exist? it doesn't sound right.

  • @BloodMonkeysUnited The word is "ubiquitous": Common, accepted or noticeable everywhere.

  • i played serious sam quake and doom when i was 6 years old :)

  • I always wondered why do some people look down on people who play computer games such as Starcraft as if its nerdy yet if its an console oriented game such as CoD they are fine with it and are even willing to play themselves? :P

  • @MHSlypher1 It's because they can't accept the fact that they can't type, or use a mouse to some extent in order to play a computer game. Starcraft II will NEVER be on consoles, and you have to be glad about that.

  • Re subbed

  • wheres santa baby?

  • The only reason people blame games for their children's attitudes and behaviour is because its a new media. While I'm only 19 years old I know that this was the same as with Television; infact within every new form of media there will be people who are 'scared' and don't trust it because it isn't the norm for them and nobody likes change (they fear it). I could bet that in 20 years gaming will become a televised sport (Yes, sport) just like darts, poker and all the rest.

  • Did u see the guys second name that sent the second email, Bloodstar, that is an awsome name.

  • i rmemeber at school,,, 2 years ago,,, whenever we were supposed to write essays on the pc, we would just all play a big deathmatch og quake xD like,,, 15 people, it was glorious xD

  • My favourite game is fallout new Vegas

  • I have to say, TB's comment section is full of mostly sensible people.

  • @TheGuyzFromThatPlace well, alot of people here have been following him for a long time, so he has sorta educated us in that respect :P

  • I help out at a comic store and we have a few gamers that come in and play Dungeons and Dragons throughout the week. When the D&D crowd is in for a session, they get made fun of by other customers. The people who poke fun play computers games like WOW. I get irritated at these people simply because they are at home doing the same exact thing. The difference is the D&D crowd is doing it in a social environment whereas the WoW players are doing it in a virtual environment. Some people are naive.

  • I believe strongly that it's the parents to blame about games. This is because of the parents not thinking before they buy there children these games.

  • kidiots.. love it (:

  • they don't actually like a chance before moaning about how shit they are.

  • there are always a group of people who call themselves gamers but it actual fact they just sweat off cod i tried to explain to them (some of them i actually like) that Skyrim is a very fun game i've loved rpg games for the whole of my life but these people still say that games like skyrim are shit even though they know nothing about them i have played a lot of cod in my time and i don't really find it as enjoyable but i dont say it's shit i just want to know when will people finnally give games

  • Your response to the question at 8:12 is so good. Thanks!

You're right, these sports are really good examples.

  • @TotalHalibut Are you british by chance?

  • @QuantumRelease1 Did you seriously just ask that

  • @Niemtol2 problem?

  • NEW SONG UP

  • I played Mortal Kombat 3 and Ultimate on the SEGA when i was like 7. Im 15 and i play games as bloodless as puzzle bobble and gorey like Fallout 3 (game in which i got the "Bloody Mess" perk, so awesome :D) , Prototype and BulletStorm. Videogames dont make you kill people unless you are stupid enough for these games to get to you.

  • i watched omen when i was 8 and scream when i was 9. DIDNT TURN ME INTO A PSYCHO KILLER!....

let me just hide this teenager in the fridge.

  • "you can shoot people in the dick in that game, and are rewarded for doing so" and i went and bought bulletstorm.

  • When you get called a nerd, just remember the meaning of the word and take it as a compliment :)

  • hey please check out my channel.

new music to be updated soon

    thanks

  • 11:50 to 11:55 love that part !! :)

  • ads ok. buffering ads @#BU^FGQW)*

  • I dont mind kids on online games like cod, but I do hate the odd american kid who sounds like justin bieber a lot.

  • @donkeypups you dont take an arrow to the knee

  • i was at school the other day playing a computer game and some guy who thought he was tough called me a nerd and that he could "pwn" me. When I told him that he would be more of a nerd if he was better than me and he could in fact "pwn" me he was just like no and called me a nerd again. some people are just thick. probably sits in his room playing games like cod and the sort.

  • @hudsgiants reminds me of a friend who said same thing cause I like Skyrim

I swiftly reminded him everybody thinks he is retarded

  • @hudsgiants And he's probably out getting bitches whilst you're fishing for thumbs up on youtube.

  • @wycherl3y You do know that he isn't fishing for thumbs up and that he didn't ask for thumbs up

  • @hudsgiants this is just my opinion but i consider being called a nerd a compliment

  • @hudsgiants holy crap 102 likes.... wow

  • Yes, the british kids that play videogames are the most annoying gamers in the world

  • @maxinovasuperguy Um, do you have any proof behind this? at all?

  • @maxinovasuperguy No, ALL kids are.

  • @maxinovasuperguy I would say all kids are but at least Brit kids don't throw the word fag around like your momma at my Birthday party!

  • @MrDelusionalPenguin true, british kids whine all the time with other words :)

  • @lordbryanz I'm a brit. And I bite my thumb at you sir.

  • @maxinovasuperguy ROFL- I happen to be British mate and all I can hear when multi-player gaming is American kids swearing at each other.

  • @xSGTSADSACKx im American but sir i agree. They are quite stupid in what they do and say online. Not all of them but most. Im just tired of all the little kids cussing me out cuz we lost or something even though my K/D is always higher.

  • @smartmonkey13 why do you care if people swear, saying something like heck is the same as saying fuck, your just censoring it what i would say is incredible bad. Its ok to be angry when you loose cause it increases competition and encourages someone to get better.

  • @JumboGaming his point wasn't that they cuss. it's that spoiled brats are blaming it on everyone else and ruining other people's fun out of spite.

  • @smartmonkey13 I'm 13 and I'm American. I do I enjoy my share of trash talking, but it's only when I'm in 1st or 2nd place. 2nd because it's usually my friend ahead of me, but still. Trash talking in just about any game that's not CoD or Halo is just plain stupid. The reason being that CoD and Halo don't take much to be good at unless you're in MLG. What urks me is when you have people trash talking you in something like WoW; That's cool, you've spent hours on a video game! Congratulations!

  • @smartmonkey13 -.- its not about the K/D.. it's about winning.

  • @Delalcon well if your not getting enough kills to level up and unlock new stuff than youll just get way less kills defending/attacking the target. I only play deathmatch and free for all

anyways which are kill based gametypes

  • Fuck youtube it tells me ten time there has been a mistake try again and at the end there are ten of the same comments.

  • I just wanna the review of anno 2070. Not 10 minutes compliant about some game rating

  • Your voice is fucking enraging tone down the games workshop employee cadence and delivery.

Its not a class thing I'm sure being synical is quite marketable and attracts a higher degree of yanks and elitists who side with you on areas where you almost with an autistic flare you categorical make logical statements but your voice oozes a snidy passive agressive undertone which is so fucking annoying i can't get through any of his videos.

  • @IAMSOUP Grammar FAIL! He's upset and has a strong opinion about this subject. Don't hate the man for being passionate. If you don't agree with his point of view don't insult the man. Move on. Nobody is making you watch these videos.

  • what was the game in the back ground anyone?

  • @Shemnel09

Anno 2070.It says in description ;)

  • @4444tomika haha thanks how i missed that ill never know

  • @Shemnel09 first of all if you wish to read the explenation on my statements do read what i have writen to Decnet01. And if your still not convinced do note that in croatia the teen pregnancies are about 3% there hasent been one incident about shooting up the school and crime is generally low. You can check it up if you dont believe me.

  • @crni664 i have no idea what ur on about mate but ok i will :)

  • @Shemnel09 sorry my bad i wanted to reply to @Proximity1337 commetn on my statement and there must have been a mixup .

  • @crni664 its all good no harm done

  • @Shemnel09 I'm sorry there must have been a mixup i wanted to reply to @Proximity1337 reply to my comment.

  • @Shemnel09 c'mon really he started the video talking about it and it's in the description!

  • @71Jackwich awrite chillax christ

  • @Shemnel09 sorry,my bad i wanted to reply to Proximity1337 reply on my comment and there must have been a mixup or something.

  • social worker who said that if a kid was acting out of line like perhaps getting home piss drunk or god forbid high, or disobeyed an order that could harm him/her or his/her enviorment the parent is allowed to slap the child and it isn't considered child abuse. I think it also in some lawbook or even in unesco or something and it's good so. Parental controll at its finest.

If I have misspelld or done some mistakes anywhere please do know that I'm from Croatia and English is my 2nd language. pt3

  • @crni664 Horrible laws in Croatia then, parents should learn to raise their children properly, and hitting or hurting them should never be OK or legal.

  • @crni664 So in other words, it should be ok to condone violence as long as the purpose is to make good?, Like breaking fingers on people who obviosly shouldnt be on the internet? Or hitting a child for being violent in school etc.. Im sorry but i dissagree, the only weapon one can use that is efficient in the end is the word itself.. The day u crap out your own child you would know that if anyone laid a hand on him you would prolly kill the person in rage.. No kid should be beaten..

  • @Decnet01 you havent been listening to me obviously since you reply something like fingerbraking or beating your children and dont understand me wrong i'm all against child abuse. But do know that there is a certain difference between hitting or beating your children and slapping the snot out of misbehaving spoiled brats the main is that hitting scars them, slapping just leaves them with a sense of trumandes pain which lets them benefit from it.

  • @crni664 I still dont think a "slap" is the answer to the problem itself.. To look at it in a different perspective, if you where to have 100 children, and 50 of these where constantly slapped when doing wrong and the other group where told in an adult army-manner. Now, in a psycological point of view, wich group will have the most people "snapping" in the future you think? Even if its a "harmless" slap it will develop into something traumatic, trauma breeds strong resessive behavior..

  • @Decnet01 Ill have to agree with you on some point and will have to agree that conversation is a big part of parenting but I think that you'll have to agree that sometimes the only way someone will learn the really important things is to simply slap them. For instance my sister is a straight a student of medicine. When she was 15 (7 y ago) she came home drunk like a camell and my mom slapped her so hard her taste buds flew out. You can guess what she didnt do again.

  • @crni664 Well, i can agree that sometimes a person can deserve a slap but not be given one, if you understand the difference. More of a figurative speech one uses. From my experience there is no use to make dialogue with one that is intoxicated by substances. You "might" remember but theres also a chance the dialouge will get distorted as time passes by. Therefor always communicate of importence when subject is sober.. Ive never used fists, but people do fear my voice. Like dogtraining.

  • Then someone should explain to the kid the obvious why it isn't ok to shoot people in their dicks. And if they continue to to talk how awesome it is shoot people or generally harming them the parents should just stand up slowly walk to them an pimp slap them right in the face and after that ask them :how did it feel? If the kid doesnt have shit for brains he will understand that after step 1 if he doesnt initiate step 2. My mom is a theacher and talked to one of the mothers who is a ... .part 2.

  • I disagree with tb because i dont think the parents are to blame but the kids. That of course goes againts me because i think of myself im still a child (16 y.o.). My friend plays video games constantly and he looks like the gamer version of Peter Griffin. The legaly fine them and other crap like that is nonsense we getting what we want one way or another. The one thing parents can do is when a kid says something like You should have seen me i shot a guy in the dick and got bonus poins. part 1.

  • When I was a child, one of the first games I played was Neverwinter Nights. Stumbling upon it by mistake while on my older brother's laptop, it drew me in and sucked me into the story.I absolutely loved how you could choose what your character could act like and TALK to people, which was an alien concept in the other games that I'd played back then (MARIO!).

I was never affected. The gore? I hated the idea in reality.

The large amounts of Sexual hints? blew straight over my head as a kid.

  • I look forward to the day I four gate my son; it'll be exciting

  • Do more of this game, I'm thinking about getting it and I what to see you play it before I get it

  • haha kidiots

  • so we lock kids in the basement to prevent them from growing up fucked up? :D

  • Chess boxing!!

  • Yea i agree this whole "gaming is evil" shit is going too far and they all need to just shut up already. Parents need to just step up to the fucking plate and take care of their kids rather than just ignoring them. Then maybe we wouldn't have all the problems we do today. Yet they constantly try to blame anything but themselves for their children's behavior.

  • lol i thought he was saying poka

  • Santa Baby

  • @TheCraigCrazy TB Baby, hurry down to youtube tonight, for me. Hurry up I wanna hear you sing, TB baby. And hurry down to youtube tonight.

  • I'd like to pick up Anno 2070 but it's $50? I'm hoping steam has some sort of discount for X-mas.

  • TotalBiscuit is bad at roads.

  • tb I am 12 years old and I find very inspiring
