@TherealRNO - XxtenajxX is right - Jim Henson did NOT create Sesame Street. Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morisette created SST. Jim Henson wasn't brought in until quite a bit of the initial groundwork had been laid. Jim Henson may have created the MUPPETS on Sesame, but did NOT create SST itself.

MuppeTickeler: Frazzle is, ironically, meant to be shown as a way for the young viewers to look past appearances. The same with the more menacing, early 1970's Count, what with the hypno powers & actually scary laugh (before the more iconically lovable "Ah Ah Ah"). Frazzle is meant to be a way to show that, no matter how one looks, they still have feelings, just as Count is a vampire who--as per classic vampire lore--has a counting fixation.

Frazzle is NOT bad. He was created to look scary, but he is really a gentle monster. He was meant to show that even if someone may look scary, deformed, or ugly, they can still be nice.

all of these segments have hidden lessons about life for kids, and the kids didn't even know it.

example: frazzle represents a special-needs kid.

remember the first time you saw one of those kids? they were kinda scary and you didn't understand what was wrong with them, or the way they behaved. when they got excited, it was alarming.

this video teaches kids that these strange (mentally handicapped) people have feelings, too.
