i dont think once a month is too much... it really depends on how you like it. a Healthy head of hair should be able to take monthly heat.

girl, please dont straighten your hair once a month. heat is to be used on occassion. Too much heat will damage your hair and loosen your curl pattern. If you do plan on straightening your hair, every 6 moths would be good. Your hair is lovely and I know you want to maintain your kinks and curls. smile Deanna
