Very cool effects with the eBow - I've also got one and love the variety you can do with it from cello-like sounds to more "lead"-type lines and effects-laden drones/soundscapes like yous. I have plans to outfit a bass with a Bass Sustainaic driver (I've asked and they do indeed make one) along with a Kahler trem for what I call my "Effects Bass" in the near future.
@HamishORiordan I own one and have found that string gauge isn't so much of a problem as is the "grooves" molded on the bottom of eBows to fit guitars. On bass you have to "float" it or just use one string to lean it against - it's physically harer to use because of this, and that's why I plan modify a bass with a Bass Sustainaic driver (I've asked and they do indeed make one) along with a Kahler trem for what I call my "Effects Bass" in the near future.
Would be a great intro in at somekind of consert :-)

Did you need to use lighter strings on the bass to get that sound or will any strings do?
