  • You are PRO at this game man! I give you my respect!

  • I'm a little confused,

didn't in the old Castlevania games you could keep using an item

until you ran out of gems? But here not only does item use consume gems,

but the item itself's remaining count

  • I remember this game.. I forgot the name of it.. And I have been looking for it for years.... I lost this game... It was of my favorites... And finally I find the name of it...

  • crecking skull?

  • MA-AAAAAAAAAAN I REALLY wish you would have continued this. I like playthroughs, and I like this game and wanted to see it played through--WITHOUT stupid commentary. I hope you reconsider.

  • just some questions from the guy that just found out about this: Is this game for PC? where can i download/buy it? Can u be a vampire?

  • @Elrohof This game was only for N64, and not, you cannot be a vampire

  • @Elrohof

N64 and I can be a vampire but only early in the morning before I had my coffie ;P

  • i used to own this game

  • I have always wondered how to unlock the other characters lol i beat the game but didn't even unlock one of them but that was a loooong time ago when i actually played on my n64 :P

  • i remember renting this game when it first came out and i loved but i was young and stupid and got stuck at a part where theres a fountain. I wanna buy this game on ebay or amazon

  • Jumping? Sometimes, it looks like skipping, to me. xD

  • i got this game for an emulater its a fun game but hard as hell becuase the controls sucks for the computer

  • There are 2 versions? I have Just "Castlevania" And I can't Find ANY Video of That game

  • @gravitydefying94 type in Castlevania 64 to get the original one, Legacy of darkness is a director's cut where you have to play a cornell chapter and a henery chapter before you unlock the original game. (with better textures and more areas.

  • I remeber playing this game back when i was like 8. This game sure brings back memories. But i also remember it with better graphics. This game rocks ty for the video.

  • thank god my sisters owned this game when i was like 6 and they sold it and i couldn't remeber the name just the skull boss lol

  • @darklink245 haha ikr thats the same thing that happened to me. My cousin would play it and i only remember playing the guy with the whip and killing the big skeleton boss.

  • these all look like reused shit from cv64, the boss, the levels, this doesnt seem like a new game, just new characters with different camera angle...

  • @SHlNOBl3 because its not a new game, it's the director's cut of C64, aside from Cornell and henry the story is the same too.

  • @BillyCauseyjr

weird they called of legacy of darkness, i thought it was a new game, what a cheap trick.

  • I played the first castlevania 64 and I must say this is quite a redesign from the first level originally.

  • Cornell appears in Castlevania Judgment in Beast Mode. Now, if only Reinhart Schneider and other characters from this and other games appear on Judgment.

  • this game has really crappy quality

  • i saw u can play carrie there,too.... how? when??

xD sry but i love this char and wanna kick some undead asses with her... even though that werewolf guy is also great *_*

  • esta mejor el este castlevania no suscribete a mi cuenta

  • this game is so fucking hard on an emulator :/

  • ehm not really... with ps2 controller its fucking easy xD

  • This has always been my favorite Castlevania game as well. Cornell was, in my opinion, the best protagonist in the series, but they only used him for this one game.

  • I love this game and can't believe is so underrated. I actually like this one better than "Lament..." I've ended it will all 4 players and I just can't enough of it. I love how you can view in ALL directions and you can choose from different points of views (which really pissed me off about Lament which was very limited on that matter). After SOTN this is my fav Castlevania game. Thanks for posting

  • i completely argree this is actully my fav then dawn of sorrow. i played this on an emulater but i have the actual game on my n64 and i have done it with all characters on hard mode and all children rescued with henry, im pretty sure u have too, but its nice to meet another fan of the game

  • same here. there's no other Castlevania game that makes you feel you're right there "at home" like this one. It is so detailed. Even when you beat the first Boss (the skeleton) if you go to the edge of the bridge and look down you can still see him from below looking up at you and then start running, WOW, to think they took the time to make little details like this.

  • This game is awesome. Pure awesomness. I just saw AVGN's review on this and didn't like it, For good reasons too.

I played this game a lot as a child, I own both of these games and I still play them every now and then. I thinking of making a "Let's play" of it but I don't know, I suck at that stuff.

  • The Nerd was talking about Castlevania 64, NOT this game. 64 was riddled with issues, LoD here fixed most of the problems the first one had. It also includes the first game, with those fixes intact. In the end, what he says about it is his opinion, and a fairly well founded one at that.

  • I know that the Nerd talked about the first one, I'm not stupid. I actually think that the first one was better because of one thing: The first one is harder on Hard. A lot of attacks kills you in one hit, more bosses etc..

This game is too easy IMO. There's a lot of saves and Cornell can almost kill any boss in seconds with his wolf power which is greatly overpowered.

I'm not saying that I hate this game, I like it alot and I've played it through on Hard with every character.

  • @reniett yeah i play this and castlevania 64 on the n64 still, my 64 hasnt broken down yet and i love this game. i love to play through it and listen to the music. i wish i could live in the villa, or better yet draculas castle. im mad that this game was omitted from the castlevania storyline. because i love it. i practically live in this game sometimes.

  • man i got stuck on this game with renhardt when he had the bomb thing and he couldnt jump, so i stopped playing, it was a long time ago.

  • well actually it was the first castevania game that came out in 1999
