At first, a shetland pony can carry 50kg maximum, so if he is healthy you can ride him more than 2 times a week;)

Second, if a pony is 10years old, he is grown up and you can say he's an adult. So he's way not too old to ride on more often! Nice pony btw, I used to have an appaloosa too, but we sold him last year:(

He isnt taht healthy because sometimes he is walking with a pain. When he was younger people was jumping on him too much.

There is not a point to ride on him, because he gets tired after 10 minutes.

Now he just goes on the paddock. ;)
