So no, you can't just compare the numbers, it's not simple math. If you take the world jewish population censuses numbers, there was no significative change.

Note Cole had some kind of credit with the audience despite his position, and could shift the debate in his favour.

I think Smith is a good guy. His CODOH has done a lot of good work, and his college work has challenged efforts to prevent the topic being discussed in academia.
He doesn't perform so well in this situation but I think that's just unfamiliarity with the medium. It would be pretty difficult to face a hostile audience like this one.
I believe Denierbud, the maker of this video, is a friend of Bradley Smith. He writes favourably of Bradley on his website.

Cole seems like a rather clever, solid guy and it's hardly likely that he would have been so naieve as to expect a balanced debate on Donahue.
Again, his departure was probably set up. He was probably told he was at risk, the studio had been made aware of threats to his life or something of that nature and was urged to leave.
