In November 2007, the National Endowment for the Arts released its report on the American reading disaster, Reading at Risk, comparing it to the historic 1983 report, A Nation at Risk, which stated:
“If an unfriendly foreign power had attempted to impose on America the mediocre education performance that exists today, we might well have viewed it as an act of war. As it stands, we have allowed this to happen to ourselves.”

Illiteracy isn't a disease. It's a mindset. You can choose to relieve your illiteracy anytime you get off of your lazy ass.

I agree, we are teaching our kids to reveal their bodies. America is a very vain society and I believe it is gutsy of you and noble of you to try to help people learn to read.
