It gets really hot in the summer and in places like cough Florida and parts of the wets stay warming all year

@coolpc452 It is a sun conure :) And I googled it too to see how you made the mistake, one picture of a sun conure came up for the love bird search. But the one's that are green with the pink faces are the lovebirds. The other picture is in fact a sun conure :) I'd know that pretty colour anywhere :) A simple mistake, I guess :)

bigger parrots scare the shit out of me, I'm sorry...macaws, especially...it's not really the beak, but their intense looking eyes and creepy imitation of human speech...even when conures talk, it's not nearly as scary (and they're cute to boot!!)

guys im really interested in buying a parrot. i have searched and im interested in buying either a blue fronted amazon or a scarlet macaw.i could really use some advice from already parrot owners

i recomend u start with something small

a jenday or sun conure, or a senegal are good first birds

also, a cockatiel or something smaller would be good

if uve already had some expirience with bigger birds, the macaw does make a good companion..the bigger birds need a LOT more attention though, and they cost a lot more in space, food, and attention...consider going with smaller birds..=) theyre alot easier..and dont cost as much money to take care of

plus, theyre poop isnt as bad =P

oh, and a scarlet isnt a good idea for a first bird, if u are gonna get a macaw, get a blue and gold or military macaw, theyre more even tempered

and if u get a macaw, ur gonna have to really change ur life and bird proof ur house, no febreeze, teflon, scotchgaurd, and hundreds of other things

u have to get rid of most of that with any bird, but macaws are the worse
