if it means anything, i think you are very talented tap dancer and you did excellent. I do not agree at all that this is all showmanship...i see some complicated steps i there...my daughter has been tapping for 12 years

This is all showmanship and very little tap. She's good at making her steps look bigger, that's about it. Sorry. : / Not terrible though. Show is good, just get get some better tap steps. It just shouldn't be first prize, even if she is 12. (tapping for 20 years). I know 10 year olds who are much more talented.

I'm not trying to start anything. But this girl's family and friends love this because of their relationship, not because she's amazing. ...just sayin'.

It's a shame you haven't shared your scary talent with us so we could all trash your talent...maybe it makes you feel better to trash a 12 year old. Most of us think highly enough of ourselves we don't have to resort to such antics.

I wouldn't be bragging about that solo. You didn't offer anything constructive to help this girl. Honestly worry about yourself and the flaws you have in your own dancing. This girl enjoys dancing why not let her have fun and enjoy her hobby?
