@susiebubble -- Dorothy McGowan kept a much lower profile after Polly Maggoo but continued modeling, married and had 2 kids, divorced, retired for good from modeling in 1974 and is alive and well and living in Mamoroneck, New York. She gave a talk in 2009 at a screening of Polly Maggoo at the Metropolitan Museum of Art as part of a series "Model as Muse" & there is a book of the same title; a short summary is posted at the Modelinia blog.
