They told me about the game and when I went home I quickly turned on my computer and registered an account. A week later I had my first best friend on Runescape. I met him in Falador. I offered to train him. Now he's stronger then me. We don't play Runescape that much anymore, but we still play Xbox 360.
07 was the year I first started. I met my first "runescape friend" in the first 2 days. He's still on my friends list, years later, also we still talk, however he logs in game only once or twice every couple of years. The game certainly has changed a lot since back then. Now runescape is just a rush to get to 99 and everyones so greedy with 1b and all that the weapons are to overpowered and it all sucks.Bots Everywhere.None of my friends play.Niether do i.Now im pretty happy that rs2006 is coming out it may take 2 months or so but its worth the wait.
My favorite memory from 2006 was me making an account on tutorial island!I woodcutted! And Firemaked! All my friends played at the time and i remember going to varrock and killing all the lvl 3 mans to lvl up my strength i remember i got 26 str! and 20 def! then i wanted to get higher and higher then finally i achieved 30 defence and got adamant armor i thought i was soo rich and then i went to lumbridge and did quests/jobs and i got 8k every time i completed a job like (killing 20 chickens)
haha one of my oldest friends were in like the 4th-5th grade range. we were all medium leveled players who sometimes made nooby rsmvs..ahh the memories. Now either most of them got bored of rs or just quit.
5:48 still miss that title. Also I remember my oldest rs friends were my neighbors. My favorite memory is how nooby I was. Lvl 26 in steel chain steel legs wizzy hat long black hair and leather boots. With this pking outfit me and my friends guided a lvl 9 into the wildy and my friends let me kill her. I didn't know the drop of full iron sucked so I went crazy. My first wildy kill alongside my friends. I grew better at pking from there. Sadly my friends don't play anymore. :(

It took a litte longer then suspected and for one sudden moment I thought she had left with the money. But.... No! I really do wish i could age back a tad, maybe to 10, just to start over. @TheJeRoMeWWE Go to their forums and make an account. A lot of questions are there, and it has a great community. But the alpha version of the game will be released "Mid june - end of june" (maybe a little later but they are getting everything EXACTLY as rs in 2007 had it, quests, songs, ect). The only difference really is exp is 2x or less.
@TheJeRoMeWWE Check the forums on the site, Its not even in alpha stage yet, but you'll be able to test alpha stages if you're there. The alpha starts somewhere between mid june - mid july. Accounts get reset from alpha to beta & beta to full game. The alpha & beta are testing while skills, quests ect are slowly released. They're going to have the seasonal events aswell as the Administrator said "Exactly as Rs had it, but it's a secret."

My OLDEST Friend was some guy called "Tjowtow", i met him at the draynor manor when i was a noob, i couldnt find the way out, so he helped me, we played for a few days then he suddenly never logged on again
My Oldest friend? Haha I guess I know. His Name was "Bigbobbysick". I Met him at the wizard tower, he was performing a quest cape emote. He was wearing full mystic, and some sausage rope (abyssal whip). Then I added him. Once we met eachother in Varrock square. Was only level 40 or so, on my first acc named Ar789456 (no joke!) he gave me a rune dagger as an encouragement to get 40 attack. He was lvl 107, wich was high. nowdays, a high lvl won't even answer to you. I cryed watching this.
I don't like the new runescape players who are rude, but the ones who are nice I feel bad for them because they didn't experience the good times of Runescape.
I had a friend me and her got 99 wcing together but after a while (about 7 months) she received another account from a friend and we really never hung out after that :(

my oldest friend on runescape joined in 1999 (same with me) and he quit on Dec.10 my best memory is when we went and did a barrows run and i got an ahrims hood and he got a guthatns helm we were soooo happy . we were so rich we both had around 10b then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! then he quit and gave everything to me But then my account got banned for real world trading i miss the good old days =(

Now runescape is just a rush to get to 99 and everyones so greedy with 1b and all that the weapons are to overpowered and it all sucks.Bots Everywhere.None of my friends play.Niether do i.Now im pretty happy that rs2006 is coming out it may take 2 months or so but its worth the wait.

My favorite memory from 2006 was me making an account on tutorial island!I woodcutted! And Firemaked! All my friends played at the time and i remember going to varrock and killing all the lvl 3 mans to lvl up my strength i remember i got 26 str! and 20 def! then i wanted to get higher and higher then finally i achieved 30 defence and got adamant armor i thought i was soo rich and then i went to lumbridge and did quests/jobs and i got 8k every time i completed a job like (killing 20 chickens)

5:48 still miss that title. Also I remember my oldest rs friends were my neighbors. My favorite memory is how nooby I was. Lvl 26 in steel chain steel legs wizzy hat long black hair and leather boots. With this pking outfit me and my friends guided a lvl 9 into the wildy and my friends let me kill her. I didn't know the drop of full iron sucked so I went crazy. My first wildy kill alongside my friends. I grew better at pking from there. Sadly my friends don't play anymore. :(

It took a litte longer then suspected and for one sudden moment I thought she had left with the money. But.... No! She came back down the stairs I eagerly awaited in front of the door and in moments THE RUNE LONGSWORD WAS MINE! Through out the rest of the summer I camped lesser demons and got 75 STR on F2P. While that may not seem that important it was a milestone for me. Now that I say that I notice that was in '07 and it's currently '11. My strength level is 83 meaning I've only leveled up STR

Probably one of my best memories from the 06-07 period was when I desperately wanted a rune longsword. They were some what rare to buy off other people as most everyone only sold rune scimmies. But a scimmy wasn't going to work for me I HAD to have a longsword. I'd been using longswords since I began in late 05. So I put all my faith in to a long time friend. I gave her the 32k that I worked hours to get and she made her way to the champion's guild ( I hadn't earned enough quest points to get in

8 Years ago, me and my cousin where like 6 or 7, maybe 5 lol. We wen't to this community center thing, like a club, these two girls where playing RS and kept covering the comp screens not telling us what they where playing, we saw them killing rats on tutorial island. We barely saw the web adress, and we thought it was called run escape lol! We have played RS since, back in the day RS was beast, I got 2k and thought I was SUUUUPER RICH lol.... :)....good ol' RS.

Guys, there's a group of working on a 2007 runescape server. There's vids here in youtube, just search rs2007. Also, if you get a phishing screen, as many may - it's due to a false report in IE and some antivirus programs. If you can't register because of captcha and you are using the latest version of firefox, use google chrome. Btw, this game cannot be the exact same. I really do wish i could age back a tad, maybe to 10, just to start over. Do the old Tutorial, fish the shrimp, cut the tree, light the log cook the shrimp... etc. until you've completed Tutorial Island. What about Vanaka the epic 'Combat Master' being Level 146. First memories of RS. Watching my brother start, going into Lumbridge, walking past goblin, persuading him to kill the Goblin! :P Good good times, making me a little sad writing this :(

I remember in like 05 or 06 when i was F2P, i met a guy who was at my combat level (30-40) he was norwegian just like me, and we went questing togheter. i made a new runescape account, and i think he quit.
Now im 2011 i met him again, he had the same name, he was 70 combat, and i was 137, we both recogniced eachother and added eachother, he dont play that much anymore,i still do tho, so that must be my oldest runescape friend, sorry for bad english btw :)

@TheJeRoMeWWE Go to their forums and make an account. A lot of questions are there, and it has a great community. But the alpha version of the game will be released "Mid june - end of june" (maybe a little later but they are getting everything EXACTLY as rs in 2007 had it, quests, songs, ect). The only difference really is exp is 2x or less.

@TheJeRoMeWWE Check the forums on the site, Its not even in alpha stage yet, but you'll be able to test alpha stages if you're there. The alpha starts somewhere between mid june - mid july. Accounts get reset from alpha to beta & beta to full game. The alpha & beta are testing while skills, quests ect are slowly released. They're going to have the seasonal events aswell as the Administrator said "Exactly as Rs had it, but it's a secret."

My Oldest friend? Haha I guess I know. His Name was "Bigbobbysick". I Met him at the wizard tower, he was performing a quest cape emote. He was wearing full mystic, and some sausage rope (abyssal whip). Then I added him. Once we met eachother in Varrock square. Was only level 40 or so, on my first acc named Ar789456 (no joke!) he gave me a rune dagger as an encouragement to get 40 attack. He was lvl 107, wich was high. nowdays, a high lvl won't even answer to you. I cryed watching this.
