Everyone knows that the decade of the 70's was the best decade for almost all genre's of music, including but not limited too, Rock, Country, Pop, and Motown. Can I get an AMEN???
This is great! Is this from the 45 rpm? If so, do U have the flip side, "Wind Song"; I've been searching for it for years. It is beautiful, one of his unknown best. If anyone has it, would love to hear it again ! ♥♥♥
You said if i don't see something i'm looking fo to request it there was another version of this song that was recorded by Lobo on the flip side of one of his records if you have that version could you please post it, I've been looking for it a long time as I used to have it on the original Bang Label 45...
FINALLY! I learned this song when an older sibling brought home the 45, I guess about 5 years old. Though I tried to sing the song for each of them (once grown), nobody seemed to remember but me. so since then, i just carried it around, for almost 40 years. I thought it might have been the dirt band, but couldn't remember the artist! Thanks for the "time machine", 40 years later, I still remember those days as best!
I heard this song ONCE in 1972 coming home on a long trip from my Grandfather's funeral and have looked for it ever since. THANK YOU so much for posting this!
I know that all those who remember and love this song are still asking themselves: how could this have not been a top 10 hit? let alone, not even top 40! see my Enigma playlist for similar mysteries.
I have the Very Best of Frank Mills CD, and this song is included on it. But it is the instrumental version. Anyone know where I can find this version? I prefer Frank's vocals to the instrumental. :)
I heard this song in the 60s as a young girl and always remembered the the verses of the song. I have been looking for this version and who sang it for years. Thanks to whom ever posted it brings back memories!
OMG... I have wanted to hear this song again for SO long... Nobody I know even remembered it and today I saw you had uploaded it! Thanks for the GREAT flashback... I never thought I'd hear this song again!!!!! :) :) :)
Wow..... I still have my 45 of this song (one of the first 10 I ever owned), but, as you can imagine, it is "well played". Thank you for this amazingly clean version.
Thanks so much for sharing this rare and original oldie. I was 10 years old when my sister and I used to play this 45. Since then, it has fallen into obscurity, and is unavailable. I have the instrumental version, and have heard the remake Frank Mills has on his "Best of" album. It's just not the same. Don't know what ever happened to our 45, but remember it well. Thanks again for making this sweet song available for others to relive.
Thank you so much, you just made my day..I been searching for this song for years, last time i heard it, was in the 70's...just befor heading off to school..laval high...
Lord I haven't heard this in 35 years if not more...it brings back warm, fuzzy memories of listening to my transistor radio under the covers after a Leafs game when I was 8 or 9, then listening to CHUM-AM til I fell asleep.
He was with the Bells and played piano on their North American hit "Stay Awhile". Also his keyboard performance on their song "Fly Little White Dove" is quite good!
Incidentally, as a vocalist he did a remake of Ricky Nelson's "Poor Little Fool" that got a lot of airplay on Canadian radio.
Thank You for putting this song on here. I always thought it was a great song. I remember the chorus and use to sing it from time to time to myself but I never heard the song in 30+ years. For some reason, I thought it had come out in the 60's?
I remember this song, and I know Frank Mills for his "music box Dancer" but I didn't know he sang too. What a nice surprise to find this and hear it again!! Thanks !!
Thank you! I've been looking for this song since 1972.

You wouldn't believe all the songs I
butchered, over the course of my life,
trying to sing along with 'em when they
were played on the radio! If i named
them all, it would be THE ALL-TIME
PARADE OF MURDERED HITS!!

You probably know this, but check used bookstores. They often have records, good prices & fair condition, sometimes excellent.
Flea markets, yard sales, etc. are hunting grounds too.
