Just to show that people do things because they can. If Michael Bay somehow had access to nuclear weapons, he detonate them on screen behind the main character and hot love interest kissing inside a slow-mo helicopter.

If he were to shoot that scenes in for example Australia(cheap shooting places) he would make a lot more money.
This isn't a bad thing. Every artist needs something that you can see and instantly recognize as theirs. Where would Franz Kafka be if his stories weren't bizarre as hell? where would Shakespeare be if his characters talked like normal people and were all still alive at the end? Where would the Three Stooges be if Moe didn't hit Curly? people only say Bay's a bad director because of transformers 2 which was during the writer's strike and both he and most of the actors admitted was terrible.
@beethovens666 He also help make a transformers film (or three) which had a love story in it. Now WHY would you put a fucking love story in TRANSFORMERS!?!?! And don't just say it's so girls watch it, cos that's assuming that all men love is explosions and all women love is kissing scenes. I feel like all hollywood wants to do is tell you what to watch, I know they have to make money but COME ON!!!!! REALLY??!?!?!
What the hell are you guys talking about? This is called trademark. In case you don't know, there are stylistic choices directors usually use, they are called trademarks. That thing with sunset and helicopters belongs to Bay. Other directors have trademarks too. Stanley Kubrick had always the evil staring in his movies, Jim Cameron had always strong female protagonist in his movies. Nobody said them to quit making movies. Bay needs critics of course, but this video makes no point at all.
@mrnolan91 I don't think the helicopter thing means he should stop making movies (I think his movies are terrible for other reasons), but you can't really compare this to having a strong female protagonist. The strong female protagonist can be a lot more varied than doing the same basic shot over and over.
@mrnolan91 Here's the thing... Kubrick and Cameron are talented filmmakers. There are filmmakers who make movies for the purpose of artistic expression, and there are filmmakers (like Bay) who make movies for money. Now, I'm not saying that making movies for the sole purpose of profit is WRONG, just frowned upon. Also, the POINT of a trademark is to project your artistic expression, Bay does it because his ego is so enormous, that he thinks he can use a shot like that in every damn movie...
@HolyUnicorns I don't think Bay makes movies only for money. I think he does it because he is an action junkie. His first movie "Bad Boys" had an explosion scene which producers decided to exclude from the script for financial reasons. Bay gave up from 1/4 of his total director fee to make that scene happen. How come he is obsessed with money? You can't judge someone that blindly and accuse him of being arrogant and greedy just because his movies make a lot of money. That makes no sense.
@HolyUnicorns As for Cameron, you just got into my trap. Jim Cameron has made a movie named "True Lies" and wrote the script of a Rambo movie. Why? Money. So your logic fails again. This doesn't mean I hate Cameron because in fact I love him. His movies are visually stunning and a lot effort is put into it like Bay's.
If you gonna criticize Bay, you can tell me he tells no story. There is no character development, very fast edits etc. But using a similar scene does not make him a bad director.
@mrnolan91 movie he directs just because he has the money to. That's not filmmaking. The point of filmmaking is to express your art through moving cinema. Recycling the same shot over and over is hardly artistic expression. That's all I'm saying. I didn't mean to be rude about it.
@HolyUnicorns Chris Nolan's last films, Inception and DK had almost same budgets in comparison to Transformers movies. Avatar had the most, above 300 million dollars. Low or high budget has nothing to do with art. Bay is but scapegoat. Again, I am not saying his movies are flawless. His movies serve pure action and visuality. That's why I watch those movies. But people are really aggressive and out of reason to him. Bay is demonized by them, even put to same position of Justin Bieber.
@mrnolan91 We don't like Bay because his films are made to attract the lowest common denominator, is it bad enough that Pearl Harbour was insultingly inaccurate as a WW2 film and Transfromers 3 is exactly the same as Transfromers 2 but with more comic relief and racial stereotypes.
The Rock is the only good film he has made in his carrier.
@HolyUnicorns By the way he is currently planning to do "Pain&Gain" whose budget is estimated to be 20 million dollars. You gotta see it because this time he probably doesn't call air support or navy railgun bombardment.
If I was being too harsh, I am sorry. But I really get nervous when people attack(!) Michael Bay with weak arguments, while there are numerous stupid directors.
And if you still doubt him being an artist I suggest you analyse camera using in Bay movies. It is super.
@mrnolan91 whether it calls for it or not. Meaning he's sacrificing the whole aesthetic of his films to feed his ego. NOT filmmaking, money-making. And a sad excuse for cinema these days.
@HolyUnicorns I don't know if you are indy-filmmaker but every director is concerned about making money so that he or she can make better films later and has no problem for finding producers.
Today it is like fashion to attack Bay without a reason. There are numerous directors in Hollywood who make crap 3D movies to get rich as fast as possible. They screw 3D movies. But Bay movies have always been visually perfect. That is what I love about him. His last film was best 3D film ever.
@mrnolan91 Hey, hey, hey, no need for personal attacks. Simply stating my opinion on the matter. I will, however respond to one thing you said -- 3D is dying, and will be completely eliminated soon. As will film unfortunately. Kodak and other film manufacturers are going bankrupt because of people like Bay. But that's besides the point... I'm simply saying that just because he's an action junkie, or whatever you want to call it, doesn't mean that he should put the same damn shot in every...
Everytime me and my friends watch a michael bay film, we try to count the nummber of explosions and sunset shots... and we lose count in the first 30 minutes lol.
James Cameron will continue to make movies as long as he can bring something new to the table. At least there's no taking advantage of a classic like "Transformers" to advertise sport vehicles, home electronics and brainless chicks in order to put more money in his pockets.
watch his fios commercial, he blows every thing up, and sometimes just for no reason. hes a paid pyro maniac. if this wasn't his job he be behind bars for arson
Well check out the Bay-directed Meatloaf video I would do anything for love (but I wont do that) from 1992 before he made any feature films. Even there and then there is a helicopter against the sunset.
@UPLOADER: You missed another thing his movies have in common: Multiple shots of waving american flags in foreground and background and slow motion shots of "cool" american soldiers walking down the street with guns in hand. Just saw Transformers 3 last night.. Chock full of disgusting propaganda! Never paying for another movie of his. Fuck him and his lobbies for promoting war and jingoism!
Michael Bay is one of the most creative film makers of the last decade. He has an eye for detail and he makes you care about characters even when shit is blowing up. I love the guy.
Michael Bay will continue to make movies as long as we continue to pay to watch them. At least there's no white hero in his movies saving the "blue kittens with breasts and asses" natives from the evil white people trying to destroy their giant tree.
@squamish4244 Yeah that movie would be stupid, terrible and racist the only reason i would watch it is because i saw the trailer having a bunch of explosions and saw it was by michael bay
@squamish4244 yeah and michael bay would let the white guys win and not the blue kittens because they just killed there colneoel and blew up there main ship he would've let the white men win and kill all the blue kittens and blow up there tree like a real bad ass movie
@wildethang93 No I also enjoyed it a lot I just thought the hammy acting and stereotypes were as over the top as anything found in a Michael Bay movie. It could be because I saw it at home and so wasn't overwhelmed by the 3-D visuals. But it was good.
i will give bay one piece of credit The Rock was a good movie mainly do to a decent script and having ed harris and sean connery . every thing els bay has done has been cheesy smelly dog shit .the only thing bay does decent in a film is special effects . he doesnt know how to tell a story or do any type of charicter develpment . his idea of thoose things is blowing shit up and telling horrible cheesy jokes.
@ArkonBlade At least with cheesey smelly dog shit, you have the smell of cheese. I doubt that it's even worth calling them that for his movies, it's just too good for them. :p
@VAKenkaku How about instead of making a montage of helicopters at sunset, which you seem to hate. And wasting 1:33 of everyone's life. why don't you just go on facebook and tell all your friends that you hate helicopters at sunset. Cause no one really cares that you hate helicopters. but hey you suckered me into watching it. so i guess all i can say is Kudos. But hey didn't your mama ever tell you if you have nothing nice to say then don't say nothing at all.
well lets compare his movies to yours. wait you don't have any movies. and the video you made is all the work he has done. and claiming it as your video is plagiarism. but i can understand that you are jealous because you are most likely living off the government collecting unemployment and food stamp. wishing you were him. and you think just wishing for it will make it come. bum. if you are gonna pick on someone pick on your self for being worthless. and whinny.

He keeps doing his job because he is capable of doing at Universal studios what you've always dreamed with by playing with your poor video-editing crappy software at your mom's house basement! Loser!
Another thing Bay's films have in common? They all make tons of money. That... and they're all absolutely crap. To hell with clever, to hell with interesting, to hell with making it any damned good... just keep the camera moving ALL the time, have it move in stupid angles to and from impossible positions, cut and edit like you're on speed, throw some crap music over it and serve to dummies.
Yeah... his movies are 'fun', but he is to directing a movie as a square of chocolate is to a good meal.
@normansmother1 dude, u r a bigot by definition. even if chris nolan comes down to the trailer park that ur living in and tells u that i like michael bay movies, u'd attack him saying, ''fuck u, real chris nolan would not like michael bay, u r his evil twin. mommy.....'' It was a genuine interview with wally pfister. But yeah the web site was second rate, why?..because some idiot says so!
@normansmother1 dude, why don't u go on the internet, look for willy pfister's interview where he explains how chris nolan likes few things that he don't like, one of the things is michael bay movies, assuming u knw who willy pfister is. Dude, u r such a retard, at least u should have checked for what i said on the net and then should hav went on to bash me. i wanna ask u really how old r u anyway?
@normansmother1 I mention that Chris Nolan likes Bays films and likes explosions and you start comparing the two? Do you feel the need to compare everything to decide which is better? Here's a crazy thought, different people enjoy different things.. comparing is a matter of opinion and opinions differ. I was simply saying Nolan enjoys Bays films and likes explosions.. If you feel the need to compare them it's your issue, not mine.
@normansmother1 Kids films are lesser and easier to criticize, I'm sure you remember the criticism that came with Karate Kid, Tooth Fairy, The Spy Next Door, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Cats & Dogs, etc.. that's just a couple of 2010 kids films.
Do you troll the directors of those films as well? or do you single out Bay because you just don't like him?
My point is at the moment Bay makes kids films and God forbid kids love them, because you don't enjoy them it's ok to call him a bad director?
@normansmother1 Also Chris Nolan does enjoy his films, Chris Nolan also being a big explosion fan did state he wanted a massive explosion in the Dark Knight which is where the exploding Hospital idea came from
@normansmother1 That's really quite different.. Michael Bay directs action for kids and teenagers, typically not the audiences are old enough for Die Hard, Terminator or Mission Impossible.
He hasn't taken on an action film directed at older audiences in a while.. Armageddon, The Rock and possibly Bad Boys are films he created for older audiences and everyone loved those films.
ATM He directs kids films which makes him an easy target for overly critical people.. It's a lot easier to criticize
Bias aside Transformers is his best movie in terms of story and action scenes. I Transformers 2 if you were paying attention is his worst, if you werent paying close attention you probably didnt notice all the fail (lucky you).
thats it?...he shows choppers in front of the sunset..and why he keep on making films???huh? u should ask it to the audience who has helped his movies gross more than $1,400,000,000 in domestic market only. he is 'genre' director. He makes action films. and even chris nolan loves his films, if u r not aware of this lemme tell u. If the question was asked to uwe boll about y he keeps on making film? may be then it'd make sense, just may be. not in the case of michael bay.
@TheDM75 first and foremost nolan liking or disliking bay's movies doesn't make bay good or bad director. i shouldn't have said that. Bay is a genre director, best of the very few in his genre(action). nolan himself didn't publicly said it. it was his frequent cinematographer wally pfister who said it while explaining his relationship with nolan. he said, '' nolan likes some things that i don't like. he likes michael bay's movies and i don't.'' u can search it on net if u want to.
@TheDM75 it's impossible to put bay in the same category as great directors such as kubrick, coppola, Scorsese, Speilberg because they are geniuses, and bay is a total hack.
@clonard when kubrick directs an action film well see if its easy or not, oh wait he got murderd by the movie police for making 2001 the biggest peice of shit ever
@SullyIsPrime your comment stating that 2001 is a piece of crap proves that you have the worst taste in movies. it's people like u that ensure that bay keeps making crap movies, shameful.
@SullyIsPrime likewise... no one is forcing you to watch movies by Kubrick, Scorsese, or Speilberg for that matter. But then again, after seeing something by any of the names listed above, you might just develop an understanding and appreciation of how movies should be made, instead of just pumping a load of pristine eye candy, flashy camera moves, and good looking up on the screen all the time.
i know speilberg is a good director, i wish everyday that he directed transformers himself, but kubrick could have never made a big budget action film,
besides the only reason anyone watches transformers is for the visuals, thats michael bays job and he did it well the first time,
@SullyIsPrime Ok, I agree. I would have loved to see Speilberg direct Transformers, sadly that never happened. But as for your comment stating Kubrick could have never made a big budget action flick? Well, put it this way. Stanley Kubrick only made movies that stimulated the mind and intelect, as well as trying to depict something on screen in a visually unique and subtle way. Thats something that Michael Bay will never achieve.
@clonard michael bay doesnt care, sometimes you want to read a book and thats ok, thats a kubrick film, sometimes you want to go on a roller coaster, thats a michael bay film, some of them are not as good as other roller coasters but sometimes your just bored or had a bad day and watching a kubrick film will only depress you even more, thats why you watch a michael bay film
@savemyplaylist here we go. another pretentious idiot who thinks he knows everything! Hey chump, i never said Michael makes oscar worthy movies and i also admit he has made few bad movies. But at the same time i can give credit where it is due and say that he has made few good action movies too, such as The Rock, the island, transformers. In fact that's exactly y i gave an example of chris nolan, for idiots like u who hav formed all of their openions based on the other's....cont...
@savemyplaylist ...i gave an example of chris nolan, so that ppl like can understand...i knw it's hard for u to understand anything, but still, that directors like bay hav their own attributes which u can't see and the ppl like nolan who understand filmmaking can c. i tell u one more example, seeing as u hav had third grade education, steven spielberg, if u knw him(i doubt that), is so obsessed with keeping his credit list worthy, that if he is associated with bad movies he takes his name...cont
@savemyplaylist ..out of the credit list, eg. transformers 2. If u don't know, it was spielberg who first approached michael bay to direct transformers. why?..cuz he must hav trusted him as a director. i am giving u all these examples so that u can understand how naive, ignorant u r. Ppl who understand filmmaking respect bay, so it CLEARLY doesn't matter if u respect him or not. Finally, i have never pitted bay against scorsese, i hav always said that bay is a genre director......cont.
@savemyplaylist ...he is an action film director, that's his forte. He can't make movies like scorsese but then again scorsese can't make movies of Bay's genre, this is where u hav to give credit to him. so irrespectve of ur opinion about him, these ppl will always respect him, cuz he is credible in his own genre.
@hhherooo You cannot be more wrong, even as an action director he is one of the worst. His films ARE on par as Uwe Bolls, if you want to waste that little thing in your mind go ahead, watch a Bay "MOVIE". Those of us who rather would not, actually think. Also, money does not equal supioror films, all of Bay's films are horrible, yet people, dumbshits like yourself, give him money, so he can pump out more shitty movies. Don't push your stupididty on us like it is our fault
@celophysis5454545 so, just becuz i like his movies i m stupid and u don't, so u r not. Dude, u r living in a world where u think everything revolves around ur intelligence. I never said bay makes movies like kubrick, but he does hav something that hav imressed contemprary directors. It was spielberg who aproached bay to direct transformers, y would he do that if bay is a bad director? oh wait, i knw y, cuz spielberg himself is a bad director. u obviously knw a lot more than spielberg.
@hhherooo Yes I am living in a world where everything revolves around my intelligence, as it seems by you are spelling, you have not. Intellegence has done more for us then anything else, while stupidity on the other hand.....
From what I can gather from this gibberish you call a "comment" And Steven wanting to help Bay doesn't prove anything. Steven has his share of shit movies and choices, he produced Jurassic Park 3 and Directed War of the Worlds to name a couple. Worship gets you nowhere.
@celophysis5454545 but that's not the point u idiot. u c the point is steven asking bay to direct a movie proves that he sees something in him that ignorant fools like u can't. let's take the rock for example btw, rottentomatoes-66%,85%, metacritic-59%,7.8, imdb-7.3,boxofficereturn300+million. so ur point, all those people who liked this movie, including ebert who 'praised bay's hotshot direction', r stupids, worthless, idiots and those who didn't like it r smart. and u r calling me an idiot!
@hhherooo Steven Spielberg is not the voice of all good cinema. I could name a FUCK of alot more that are better then Spielberg. The Rock wasn't that good of a movie, but it was better then the rest of his movies yes. However, all of the rest of his movies are complete shit. And from what I can gather from your EXCELENT typing, I can see that, yes, you are an idiot, or a troll, or a victim of a lobotomy.
@celophysis5454545 as far as i know, some ppl don't like godfather, but that doesn't make a godfather a bad movie. i m not comparing godfather with bay's movies. take urself for example, u judge steven's choice based on his so called shit movies such as JP3 and WOTW, y can't u judge his choice based on schindler's list or saving private ryan? u c here, u r by defination, a bigot and nobd can change that. u r inefficient of giving credit where its due. ppl like u will criticise others...
@hhherooo For fucks sake read you misreable whelp. Movies like the Godfather should be the basis in which films are good, good films ACTUALLY make you think. Does Transformers do this? No. And Schindlers List was a peice of shit to, however Saving Private Ryan was good. I'm not sayign all Spielberg movies are shit, I'm saying he has made a fair share of bad movies and decicions. Like help that hack Bay. But I will say Bay will NEVER make a good movie and NEVER has. PERIOD.
@celophysis5454545..and u'll be the first one but when it comes to give credit u r the last, for whatever person reasons u hav, i don't care. u cannot deny that directors like spielberg and nolan and others like bay for something, whatever it may b. but u knw the funny thing here, if spielberg would hav said, giving bay transformers was a bad choice, u'd have thrown it on my face saying look how spielberg hates bay. then u won't worry about his so called shit films such as JP3. U R A BIGOT!
@hhherooo Spielberg likes Bay because he believes in mindless entertainment. And it is 100% FACT that Nolan never said he likes Bay.Even if he did, the movies would still be brainless horseshit not even a vegtable in intensive treatment could watch. If Spielberg would slam Bay, I would fucking love it, not hate it and bitch, I believe you would hold the honors of doing this? I'm a bigot? Your a grade A dumbshit.
@celophysis5454545 So now you are saying schindler's list was a bad movie. See that's what i am saying, You are a bigot. Schindler's list was one of the best movies ever made but it's a shit just because u don't like it? Do u ever read ur own comments. That's the one thing im telling u, it really doesn't matter what u think, movies that r good will always be good, directors that r good will always be good, irrespective of what u say.
@celophysis5454545 Now surprisingly, u said the rock was a good movie, finally u r getting ur head out of ur ass and i appreciate that. He has made bad movies, Armageddon was average, pearl harbor, didn't like it. Bad boys were criticized. But he had made good movies, such as the rock, the island and transformers. U also commented that he is even a bad action director, that sums up ur knowledge and understanding of action movies and i leave that to urself to think about.
@hhherooo Oh, and by the way, The Rock is a SHIT movie, but it is not as bad as Bays even SHITTIER movies. And I know what a good action movie is you tool, a good action movie is one that can impress me without the use of special effects blown in my face. Suspense, that is what makes a good action movie, a good action movie. Not a series of explosions and close up shots of action that even H.P Lovecraft couldn't describe. Bay fails to impress. Bays movies are stupid, most people agree. : /
@celophysis5454545 But i have concluded that ur life is colorless. U live in a world where there r only 2 colors, black and white. Either he is good or bad and that explains y do u fail to see what the other ppl can c since our world isn't as colorless. He gets criticize for making movies that emphasize more on visual presentation and action rather than characters, something that i agree but ...

Today it is like fashion to attack Bay without a reason. There are numerous directors in Hollywood who make crap 3D movies to get rich as fast as possible. They screw 3D movies. But Bay movies have always been visually perfect. That is what I love about him. His last film was best 3D film ever.
mrnolan91 2 months ago
@mrnolan91 Hey, hey, hey, no need for personal attacks. Simply stating my opinion on the matter. I will, however respond to one thing you said -- 3D is dying, and will be completely eliminated soon. As will film unfortunately. Kodak and other film manufacturers are going bankrupt because of people like Bay. But that's besides the point... I'm simply saying that just because he's an action junkie, or whatever you want to call it, doesn't mean that he should put the same damn shot in every...

But yeah the web site was second rate, why?..because some idiot says so!
hhherooo 1 year ago
@normansmother1 dude, why don't u go on the internet, look for willy pfister's interview where he explains how chris nolan likes few things that he don't like, one of the things is michael bay movies, assuming u knw who willy pfister is. Dude, u r such a retard, at least u should have checked for what i said on the net and then should hav went on to bash me. i wanna ask u really how old r u anyway?
hhherooo 1 year ago
@normansmother1 I mention that Chris Nolan likes Bays films and likes explosions and you start comparing the two? Do you feel the need to compare everything to decide which is better? Here's a crazy thought, different people enjoy different things.. comparing is a matter of opinion and opinions differ. I was simply saying Nolan enjoys Bays films and likes explosions.. If you feel the need to compare them it's your issue, not mine.
mikeysa 1 year ago
@normansmother1 Kids films are lesser and easier to criticize, I'm sure you remember the criticism that came with Karate Kid, Tooth Fairy, The Spy Next Door, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Cats & Dogs, etc.. that's just a couple of 2010 kids films.
Do you troll the directors of those films as well? or do you single out Bay because you just don't like him?
My point is at the moment Bay makes kids films and God forbid kids love them, because you don't enjoy them it's ok to call him a bad director?
mikeysa 1 year ago
@normansmother1 Also Chris Nolan does enjoy his films, Chris Nolan also being a big explosion fan did state he wanted a massive explosion in the Dark Knight which is where the exploding Hospital idea came from
mikeysa 1 year ago
@normansmother1 That's really quite different.. Michael Bay directs action for kids and teenagers, typically not the audiences are old enough for Die Hard, Terminator or Mission Impossible.
He hasn't taken on an action film directed at older audiences in a while.. Armageddon, The Rock and possibly Bad Boys are films he created for older audiences and everyone loved those films.
ATM He directs kids films which makes him an easy target for overly critical people.. It's a lot easier to criticize

He makes action films. and even chris nolan loves his films, if u r not aware of this lemme tell u. @hhherooo where did nolan said he liked bay movies?
TheDM75 1 year ago
@TheDM75 first and foremost nolan liking or disliking bay's movies doesn't make bay good or bad director. i shouldn't have said that. Bay is a genre director, best of the very few in his genre(action). nolan himself didn't publicly said it. it was his frequent cinematographer wally pfister who said it while explaining his relationship with nolan. he said, '' nolan likes some things that i don't like. he likes michael bay's movies and i don't.'' u can search it on net if u want to.
hhherooo 1 year ago

@clonard nothing that a person can consider to make a movie good can be found in 2001
SullyIsPrime 1 year ago
@clonard besides no ones forcing you to watch michael bay movies
SullyIsPrime 1 year ago
@SullyIsPrime likewise... no one is forcing you to watch movies by Kubrick, Scorsese, or Speilberg for that matter. But then again, after seeing something by any of the names listed above, you might just develop an understanding and appreciation of how movies should be made, instead of just pumping a load of pristine eye candy, flashy camera moves, and good looking up on the screen all the time.
clonard 1 year ago
@clonard my teacher forced me to watch 2001,
i know speilberg is a good director, i wish everyday that he directed transformers himself, but kubrick could have never made a big budget action film,
besides the only reason anyone watches transformers is for the visuals, thats michael bays job and he did it well the first time,
SullyIsPrime 1 year ago
@SullyIsPrime Ok, I agree. I would have loved to see Speilberg direct Transformers, sadly that never happened. But as for your comment stating Kubrick could have never made a big budget action flick? Well, put it this way. Stanley Kubrick only made movies that stimulated the mind and intelect, as well as trying to depict something on screen in a visually unique and subtle way. Thats something that Michael Bay will never achieve.
clonard 1 year ago
@clonard michael bay doesnt care, sometimes you want to read a book and thats ok, thats a kubrick film, sometimes you want to go on a roller coaster, thats a michael bay film, some of them are not as good as other roller coasters but sometimes your just bored or had a bad day and watching a kubrick film will only depress you even more, thats why you watch a michael bay film

@savemyplaylist ...i gave an example of chris nolan, so that ppl like can understand...i knw it's hard for u to understand anything, but still, that directors like bay hav their own attributes which u can't see and the ppl like nolan who understand filmmaking can c. i tell u one more example, seeing as u hav had third grade education, steven spielberg, if u knw him(i doubt that), is so obsessed with keeping his credit list worthy, that if he is associated with bad movies he takes his name...cont
hhherooo 1 year ago
@savemyplaylist ..out of the credit list, eg. transformers 2. If u don't know, it was spielberg who first approached michael bay to direct transformers. why?..cuz he must hav trusted him as a director. i am giving u all these examples so that u can understand how naive, ignorant u r. Ppl who understand filmmaking respect bay, so it CLEARLY doesn't matter if u respect him or not. Finally, i have never pitted bay against scorsese, i hav always said that bay is a genre director......cont.
hhherooo 1 year ago
@savemyplaylist ...he is an action film director, that's his forte. He can't make movies like scorsese but then again scorsese can't make movies of Bay's genre, this is where u hav to give credit to him. so irrespectve of ur opinion about him, these ppl will always respect him, cuz he is credible in his own genre.
hhherooo 1 year ago
@hhherooo You cannot be more wrong, even as an action director he is one of the worst. His films ARE on par as Uwe Bolls, if you want to waste that little thing in your mind go ahead, watch a Bay "MOVIE". Those of us who rather would not, actually think. Also, money does not equal supioror films, all of Bay's films are horrible, yet people, dumbshits like yourself, give him money, so he can pump out more shitty movies. Don't push your stupididty on us like it is our fault
celophysis5454545 1 year ago
@celophysis5454545 so, just becuz i like his movies i m stupid and u don't, so u r not. Dude, u r living in a world where u think everything revolves around ur intelligence. I never said bay makes movies like kubrick, but he does hav something that hav imressed contemprary directors. It was spielberg who aproached bay to direct transformers, y would he do that if bay is a bad director? oh wait, i knw y, cuz spielberg himself is a bad director. u obviously knw a lot more than spielberg.
hhherooo 1 year ago
@hhherooo Yes I am living in a world where everything revolves around my intelligence, as it seems by you are spelling, you have not. Intellegence has done more for us then anything else, while stupidity on the other hand.....
From what I can gather from this gibberish you call a "comment" And Steven wanting to help Bay doesn't prove anything. Steven has his share of shit movies and choices, he produced Jurassic Park 3 and Directed War of the Worlds to name a couple. Worship gets you nowhere.
celophysis5454545 1 year ago
@celophysis5454545 but that's not the point u idiot. u c the point is steven asking bay to direct a movie proves that he sees something in him that ignorant fools like u can't. let's take the rock for example btw, rottentomatoes-66%,85%, metacritic-59%,7.8, imdb-7.3,boxofficereturn300+million. so ur point, all those people who liked this movie, including ebert who 'praised bay's hotshot direction', r stupids, worthless, idiots and those who didn't like it r smart. and u r calling me an idiot!
hhherooo 1 year ago
@hhherooo Steven Spielberg is not the voice of all good cinema. I could name a FUCK of alot more that are better then Spielberg. The Rock wasn't that good of a movie, but it was better then the rest of his movies yes. However, all of the rest of his movies are complete shit. And from what I can gather from your EXCELENT typing, I can see that, yes, you are an idiot, or a troll, or a victim of a lobotomy.
celophysis5454545 1 year ago
@celophysis5454545 as far as i know, some ppl don't like godfather, but that doesn't make a godfather a bad movie. i m not comparing godfather with bay's movies. take urself for example, u judge steven's choice based on his so called shit movies such as JP3 and WOTW, y can't u judge his choice based on schindler's list or saving private ryan? u c here, u r by defination, a bigot and nobd can change that. u r inefficient of giving credit where its due. ppl like u will criticise others...
hhherooo 1 year ago
@hhherooo For fucks sake read you misreable whelp. Movies like the Godfather should be the basis in which films are good, good films ACTUALLY make you think. Does Transformers do this? No. And Schindlers List was a peice of shit to, however Saving Private Ryan was good. I'm not sayign all Spielberg movies are shit, I'm saying he has made a fair share of bad movies and decicions. Like help that hack Bay. But I will say Bay will NEVER make a good movie and NEVER has. PERIOD.
celophysis5454545 1 year ago
@celophysis5454545..and u'll be the first one but when it comes to give credit u r the last, for whatever person reasons u hav, i don't care. u cannot deny that directors like spielberg and nolan and others like bay for something, whatever it may b. but u knw the funny thing here, if spielberg would hav said, giving bay transformers was a bad choice, u'd have thrown it on my face saying look how spielberg hates bay. then u won't worry about his so called shit films such as JP3. U R A BIGOT!
hhherooo 1 year ago
@hhherooo Spielberg likes Bay because he believes in mindless entertainment. And it is 100% FACT that Nolan never said he likes Bay.Even if he did, the movies would still be brainless horseshit not even a vegtable in intensive treatment could watch. If Spielberg would slam Bay, I would fucking love it, not hate it and bitch, I believe you would hold the honors of doing this? I'm a bigot? Your a grade A dumbshit.
celophysis5454545 1 year ago
@celophysis5454545 So now you are saying schindler's list was a bad movie. See that's what i am saying, You are a bigot. Schindler's list was one of the best movies ever made but it's a shit just because u don't like it? Do u ever read ur own comments. That's the one thing im telling u, it really doesn't matter what u think, movies that r good will always be good, directors that r good will always be good, irrespective of what u say.
hhherooo 1 year ago
@celophysis5454545 Now surprisingly, u said the rock was a good movie, finally u r getting ur head out of ur ass and i appreciate that. He has made bad movies, Armageddon was average, pearl harbor, didn't like it. Bad boys were criticized. But he had made good movies, such as the rock, the island and transformers. U also commented that he is even a bad action director, that sums up ur knowledge and understanding of action movies and i leave that to urself to think about.
hhherooo 1 year ago
@hhherooo Oh, and by the way, The Rock is a SHIT movie, but it is not as bad as Bays even SHITTIER movies. And I know what a good action movie is you tool, a good action movie is one that can impress me without the use of special effects blown in my face. Suspense, that is what makes a good action movie, a good action movie. Not a series of explosions and close up shots of action that even H.P Lovecraft couldn't describe. Bay fails to impress.
